My sorority went here for a luncheon. The food was very good and the service was pleasant and very professional! They offered us an amazing, creamy Mac and cheese, roasted baby potatoes, pork loin and a breaded Italian chicken. The Mac and cheese was my favorite item… next was the salad: greens with carrots, radishes, and light flavorful dressing. The pork, chicken and roasted baby potatoes needed some extra flavor. For dessert, I truly enjoyed the bread pudding with fresh whipped cream. All in all a very nice meal.

One way I know if I will like a restaurant is how crisp the prosecco is… and it was perfect! I just had dinner here for the first time and enjoyed it very much. The décor is festive and pleasing to the eye. The menu is great, plenty of variety for anyone but not too big. I had the crispy stuffed chicken and it was delicious. I will absolutely go back and recommend to friends.

I had high hopes for this place. But the wait staff was inattentive and rude. We were there on a Tuesday night and there weren’t many people in there and service was still a problem. The food and drinks were overpriced and nothing special. I’m definitely never going back.

The worst place to eat! The service was atrocious even though there were only 4 people in the entire restaurant. I asked the waitress about the ingredients in one of the dishes and her reply was«I don’t know, I don’t cook the food»! The duck breast was as tender as the sole of my shoe! The whipped mashed potatoes were not quite as good as Hungry Jack straight from the box! My husband and I should’ve went to Boston Market(not that we would ever eat there) and saved the $ 70 we wasted.

I have eaten at the Bridge House several times and never been disappointed! The wait staff is attentive and the food is delicious. I usually order my «go to» Beet Salad with Salmon for lunch. The combination of the goat cheese, dressing and beets along with the grilled salmon is amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an upscale restaurant in the Milford area. It is one of the Best Restaurants in Milford!

Just ordered the Scallop entrée for $ 28. When the dish arrived, I was immediately disappointed with the portion. It was 6 quarter sized scallops(thinly sliced) on top of 2 asparagus cut into ¼s. I’m not a big eater, but cleaned the plate and am left hungry and aggravated. What’s worse, is the bartender Cindy, the bartender, was completely unapologetic stating«that is the norm». Never again!

Looking to go somewhere local so we decided to give The Bridge House another chance after a couple of disappointing meals. Upon our arrival the hostess seemed bewildered when we asked to sit in the bar area. She seemed very confused by are request. So we explained we were there for dinner and sat ourselves at a booth in the bar area. After ordering a bottle of wine we started with an appetizer of Salt and Pepper Shrimp, it was great. I then followed with the Beet Salad, which was fresh and delish. My wife order the BH Chopped salad which unfortunately was NOT fresh(see picture) it was full of brown lettuce ends. I pointed it out to our server and she apologized. For our entrees I ordered the sear scallops and gnocchi. My scallops were good and the gnocchi was okay. Overall the visit was average, nothing to bring us back in the near future.

Interesting dish ideas, lack luster execution. The restaurant styles itself a gastropub but falls short. Case in point: the BH standard pork roast. Cool idea of pork three ways, cooked as a «roll.» But the tenderloin is overcooked. The other parts are tough to chew. Novel idea. Failure in execution. I’ve been here twice for dinner. I’d come back if the price was lower or if the food was better.

Tried this place for the first time for dinner tonight with my bf. The ambiance is so charming! Loved the décor with brick walls and very modern/cozy feel to the place. Hostess and wait staff were all very friendly and outgoing. Our waitress Nancy was very good. She was pleasant and everything came out as ordered. Service was pretty fast and all of the food came out piping HOT. The prices seemed reasonable for the fare and(although we found out AFTER our meal) they also offer a prefixed menu Mon-Fri which was only $ 24.95 pp. They serve this wonderful rosemary bread and honey butter, which was so yummy! For an appetizer we tried the«Frito Misto» which was fried shrimp, veggies and calamari with a lemon aioli sauce which was AMAZING! Although all the ingredients were deep fried, they were not greasy or heavy at all. The portion was HUGE and the seafood was cooked perfectly, it just melted in your mouth!(this appetizer alone was worth the trip!!) I had the«Crunchy Stuffed Chicken» with spinach and cheese and my bf had the fish and chips. The fried fish was very good. I loved the light, crunchy batter and it wasn’t greasy at all. The portion was very good, three large fillets of cod. The tartar sauce was different, tasted like there was some carrot in it? At first I was a little turned off, but actually while eating it along with the fish, it complimented it well and I really ended up enjoying it. The coleslaw was very chunky and neither of us cared for it. My chicken was very small(1 chicken leg on the bone with the thigh) and was pretty over-cooked. The skin was very dark and hard to cut. The spinach stuffing was tasty, but I would have much rather had the chicken boneless and stuffed then with the bone-in. Some other reviewers had this same chicken dish and said it was wonderful, so maybe I just ordered it on a bad night? Their whipped potatoes were not very good, they had very little taste to them. However, we were very full when we finished, so we did not try any dessert, although the warm bread pudding with rum caramel sauce sounded dreamy… ahhhh another night perhaps? So yes, I would definitely go back again and recommend this quaint restaurant. That appetizer with a side salad would be a righteous meal and the fish and chips I would also order for myself in a heartbeat!

I have a HUGE problem with this place calling itself as gastropub. It is the farther thing from that. Their drinks are at best like an average bar. Food — the food was good but for the price I believe the portion size is something to be desired. Service — service was average and nothing to complain nor write home about. I would probably pass on coming back here because I wasn’t that impressed.

I came with 3 other coworkers during our lunch break. There was a large party in the dining room but still many free tables. We ordered 2 salads, a burger and the gnocchi. After being there for an hour we finally received our food. The food was good but the wait left a bad taste in my mouth. We had to rush through our lunch to hurry up and get back to the office. I felt bad for the ONE waitress they had during lunch because she clearly was trying to keep everyone happy. However i feel like we should’ve been told there was going to be an extremely long wait knowing people need to get back to work. I’ll most likely give a second chance cause my salad was good and service was friendly but if I only see one waitress again and a half full restaurant, illl be turning around

When I ate my soup bartender asked how was the soup? I responded goood but would have been better with a cracker or two. Her response, next time ask! Really?!

Close to the best burger I’ve ever had. Fries are amazing too. Children’s chicken tenders are not the typical over-breaded kind that you find everywhere else. They had a unique & lighter breaded coating which was excellent. Last but not least, Landra was an exceptional waitress!

I have mixed feelings abut this place. Went to try it out and at first I was like the place gives off a very homey feeling. Ordered lunch with my daughter but there prices were a bit over average, for lunch Butternut squash soup was delicious, but I wouldn’t order the Fish and Chips ever again. Cane out super soggy greasy, slapped them over the fries which made them soaked in oil. Disappointed.

you will never go wrong with the Bridgehouse. The Ceaser Salad with Salmon is off the hook! The Salted Carmel Ice cream on the brownie is unreal! Its a must go, we have had quite a few things on the menu and never had a bad one. Service is excellent.

«Gastropub» I have mixed reviews f this establishment. This was a last minute pick after doing some business nearby. Three of us were sat down for a dinner. The waitress who may also have been the bar maid, stood behind me, not at the center of the table(booth) and promptly took our drink order. Now being a gastropub, there should have been some drink offerings. None were mentioned. We were brought some bread by another staff member, who quietly appeared and left. We had an appetizer of crab cakes. Three small cakes with better presentation than flavor, a bit overdone. Next came the entrees My daughter had a salad fair size pretty stiff price for mostly lettuce. My wife had a chicken entrée, French cut fried chicken with mashed potatoes, no vegetables or offer of purchase. I had fish and chips, a true test of an Irish gastropub. Entrée came heavily salted with again great presentation. I had to ask for malt vinegar, which was readily available. The fish was three frozen pieces fried a bit too long. The outer shell was heavy with oil and fell off the fish. French fries were tasty but salty, I would have preferred to add my own. 18.99 for fish and chips I would expect something a bit fresher. Also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts that were fairly good. Overall service was pleasant, many hands came to our table, one for drinks, one for bread, one for dinner, one to clear, it was unclear how our tip would be received. We declined an offer of coffee and desert. Upon payment we were wished a good evening. Although not a bad experience in any fashion the staff was attentive, but the food lacked the«Jazz» I was looking for. It is probably worth another try maybe in the summer months upcoming.

I have eaten in many restaurants, in many cities and I have to say, I just had one of the best meals I’ve ever had at the bridge house! Our waitress Tanya was friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant was full due to it being Valentine’s Day weekend, but still really enjoyable. My husband and I were easily able to talk to each other. We ate in the bar which was really cozy. I had the Steak Frites which was cooked perfectly. It was a hangar steak that cut like butter, melted in my mouth and was seasoned perfectly! It came with truffle fries that were cooked to the perfect crispness and a little on the well done side but NOT burnt, and seasoned with truffle oil — the best truffle fries I’ve ever had. There was a small tasty salad as well. It was absolutely mouth watering! We followed up with a yummy crem brûlée and espresso martinis — delicious!

A tavern like feel, Bridge House has ample seating and a wide variety of dishes to choose from. It’s a favorite amongst our friends due to the dinner choices and nice wine pours. I particularly love the truffle fries as an appetizer and the stuffed chicken dish! They always have a nice selection of specials and you can find live music in the bar area on Friday and Saturdays!

Tried the crusty chicken today: no, it s not the chain restaurant chicken fingers, not even close! This has been the most enjoyable experience with chicken cooked a creative way. The texture, the spinach ‘stuffing’ and the dressing that came with the purée was unbelievable. I’m going back next week, no doubt.

Been going to Bridge now over a dozen times. This is one of the best dining experiences in the Milford, Stratford, Trumbull area. It rivals competition in Westport and New Haven. A recent update to the menu had me hoping for the best and they have exceeded it. Excellent new dishes, and unexpected improvements to old favorites. The service is always, always on point and professional. My cocktails are spot on and the food is high quality. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great American restaurant. The prices are upper mid and they should be for what you get. Drinks and the bar are top notch. The kids food is well, the most thought out item the may serve. It is quality, with great sides and not just nuggets or pizza. The tuna tacos are crazy good. Going back for more very soon.
