This place use to be classy, but now is the trashiest place to go in Milford. The second you walk in the door it smells terrible. I have been to this place a few times and it use to be nice but went down hill real quick. It’s grimy, makes you feel uncomfortable and bar tenders are rude and the food is not up to par. One time my fiancé and I went there to see a band, it was probably around 9:30−10PM and we ordered an appetizer which was over priced for the little amount of okay food we got(steak tips). Then I tried to order a bud light, the waitress then told me that they were all out… which makes no sense how they would be all out before the entertainment even began?! So I then tried to order just a plain Budweiser and they told me they were out of that too! SO we left after our meal. Such a let down just when I wanted something simple, and enjoy my time listening to the band. The last and final time I will ever step into this establishment, I had just moved to New Hampshire and was back in town visiting friends. The SAMEOLD, OLD bouncer who is ALWAYSTHERE, checked my ID, he looked at it for a while and then said hold on I will be right back. I understood because I was an out of state. He then came back with a 2015 not 2016… but a 2015ID book and proceeded to check up on NH. Looked at my license again and then told me he could not accept it and I need to leave. LETALONE I was DD for the night so I am not drunk or intoxicated and no one I was with was either. I proceeded to ask why my ID was being rejected as I was almost 25 years old… he told me it was not a valid real ID it was«missing things». I then told him that I just got a brand new NH license with the newer security features, and the State DMV of NEWHAMPSHIRE issued me that license and sent it to me in the mail. The bouncer was being rude and telling me to leave. I then out of no where decided to take my Passport out and asked him if that was valid enough of an identification, and sure enough he said okay thank you, you may go in now. BY that point I was fed up, insulted, humiliated and pissed off that I said no thank you I would rather be outside or anywhere else than this place, but I wanted to prove my point of being of age and legal to enter your establishment. The old man at the door who humiliated me needs to be clearly educated in recognizing legitimate forms of ID from out of state and ACTUALLY get the ID book of 2016 when its the year 2016. I understand that they reserve the right to refuse service but this was a real government issued ID and nobody was intoxicated in our group! This place use to be an enjoyable place to go with my fiancé and all of our friends, but like I said your money, your time, and everything else is better worth spent somewhere else in Milford than this trashy establishment, which continues to let me down more and more each time. Go to any other place in Milford and you will actually feel like your money was well spent and you’ll have a lot better time literally anywhere else than here. You should be able to be an out of state resident and of legal age and let into a bar. SIDENOTE– I later went back to the DMV who issued me my license and they pulled out the 2016 book and it was Valid and this place is just straight up dumb.

2 stalls in the bathroom means long long lines and angry customers on busy nights and at pattys day. You NEEDNEEDNEED to re-do the bathrooms here or stop hosting big events.

Nice menu. Horrible service. Our waitress was rude and not helpful at all. We had rib eye and a burger, both overcooked and sent out warm, sent back to the kitchen and it was still not cooked properly. Medium rare means there should be some pink visible, but according to the chef this is his version of medium rare, thought that was interesting. Nothing was taken off the bill, no free anything, and a brief apology was made. And $ 50 meal that only one person who got pasta enjoyed.(We had a coupon so the burger was free, should have been more money) Will not be returning again, although the ambiance is nice, there are much better places to eat in Milford.

Hmmm. Just ‘meh’ is all that comes to mind, really. I visited SBC in the middle of winter, but by the looks of it, they have a big patio — I imagine this is the *perfect* spot for patio sippin’ craft beers in the summer time. But that’s about the only«wow» factor involved here. Food was underwhelming, nothing impressive but just a-ok. Beer selection was really good(Had g-bot(!) and Green Flash on tap) but bartenders should also be educated enough to talk about said beers. I mean, if you want to have a successful business, anyway… you can always just run a mediocre bar with robot beer pourers if that’s what you want.

Decent beer selection. Polite staff. Nice restaurant. But why the two stars you ask? Because the people this place attracts are general low lives, mostly people who are not even from this neighborhood. You’ve got thugs, scumbags, and hoodlums, both male and female. We’re talking women instigating fist fights and men who appear to have been recently released from Cheshire. If you’re a normal human without a criminal record, stay clear of this establishment after the sun goes down, especially on weekends.

We had a solid brew pub type experience, brews and burgers. The booth by the window was quite comfortable with a nice view of the bridge, and the stream that runs parallel to the building. The beer list is diverse but mostly unknown to us so the server brought some tastes to the table. I had a house made brew, a red ale I think? We enjoyed various burgers and even the vegetarian amongst us was able to find something she liked. I had a burger that had Swiss cheese, bacon and(?) sour cream ~ really yummy with a side of mashed potatoes instead of fries. We’ll be back…

There is a lot to like about this place. Good beer and food. Outdoor seating. A big bar with TVs. Friendly staff. Oh yeah, and I’ve even seen a magician here during the week. That’s right, a magician. I LOVE the goat cheese salad and if I want a salad, I’m coming here. The tough part about Milford is there are a lot of places like this and I try to spread the love so I don’t come here all that often. Since it’s not at the top of my list, that’s what prevents me from giving it more stars but it’s definitely a ‘go to’ spot for a lot of people in the area and you won’t be disappointed.

Place was half full on a Monday night but I found the food to be properly prepared and with good flavor. They have a sweet outdoor bar but was closed when we were there. Considering the other options nearby seem to be busier and lack parking this is a good spot if you want solid meal without headaches.

So freakin’ good. Passed through this area and found this place online. Start to finish it was great. Had a watermelon beer which was great. Then had bang bang shrimp to start. Lightly fried and just enough heat. Follow that up with their bahn mi, amazing. Cool atmosphere. Sat outside and enjoyed our night here

Had a private party in their banquet room. Very nice and picturesque. Arrived earlier than planned and they were able to accommodate us and have the food ready earlier. Food was hot and tasty. No complaints

Was in the area for the Yale graduation and had dinner here. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was amazing. The steak tips were even better, large portion for the appetizer I ordered and was amazing till the last bite. The duck wings were pretty interesting and the sauce was pretty tasty. I love duck, but this was the first time I had duck wings. It was great. I recommend all these dishes and they are a must have. Beer selection was not bad, we did a flight and it was good.

Some good beers(thought Miller Lite isn’t a «craft brew»), and the Lobster Mac and Cheese was incredible.

I like their sticky calamari and the half mashed potato pizza half Caesar salad. Great beer selection and happy hour special. They have a back room that is great for private events. I went to a bridal shower here once that was a lot of fun and the food was good. Finally, the location of this SBC has a unique view of the river below, which I enjoy.

I am frankly a little pissed! We have been coming here since we moved from Chicago, the steak tips are so great we couldn’t help but order them every time… Last night though we tried the Nachos some of the Best Nachos EVER!!! They are so unique different cheeses(including a nice creamy smoked Gouda), sweet corn, chorizo, even the jalapeños were unique! How come no one told us about the nachos???

I feel like I’ll be hanging out here a lot in the summer. Came for lunch with mom and dad this past weekend. Bartender was nice, witty, attentive. I had half salad/pizza(flatbread). The toppings were good(although the proscuitto seemed more like a country ham)… but the«flatbread» itself was not good. It was bland and almost like a matzoh cracker. Mom had the short rib grilled cheese which was very yummy and my father had the chicken milanese sandwich that he raved about(but, he’s easy to please so take that with a grain of salt). I drank the golden monkey beer(bottle) and it totally hit the spot… High alcohol content at a good price! HEYNOW! The people there were. non existent. Figured they’d be jammin at lunch time. Just a few locals drinkin a few beers… Which will soon be me, once summer starts.

I used to go to SBC almost every Friday for happy hour and dinner with a friend. Last spring we started going to several other places and then I was disabled for 6 months. SBC has gone down hill fast. I ordered the Calamari and ended up sending it back. It was oily or greasy and not at all crispy. I also ordered chicken wings which had a lot of flaver but were just passable. My friend had a fried Chicken dinner and at least that was okay but a little bland. When I got my bill they had the nerve to try and charge me for the Calimari. I had them remove that. The only thing good about the experience was that the beer was cold and the pleasant company friend I was with. I will not be back unless I hear that things have improved.

I think that this is probably the best bar to go out in Milford. Everywhere else honestly verges on «too sketchy». They do have a good selection of beers and have some fun activities like trivia night. I also really enjoy their outdoor seating space. However, let me review the food. The appetizers and salads are really the way to go to get value for the price. I’ve at the tri-tip bites, bruschetta, and always order the meatballs. I like to take people here when they come to visit since they usually have availability. There aren’t really a ton of options in this area of Milford and I haven’t had a bad experience.

I had my baby shower here this past weekend & what an incredible venue for the event! I was in no way involved with the arranging of the shower, so I cannot speak on behalf of the convenience — but my overall experience really impressed me. I had an idea of what kind of food would be served, but I did not expect your typical buffet food to be excellent. It was far above average, and clearly just made. The steak tips were seriously to die for. We had 2⁄3 servers running the food, drinks, bar, etc and they were sweet but really just kept back in the distance making sure everyone had a drink and were comfortable but made sure they didn’t interfere with the events of the afternoon. I would highly recommend using this beautiful, bright, space for any event or function you may have. The view is breath taking with a running waterfall, and river running right along the wall to wall windows.

For a «Brewing Company» they do not know their brews, In a Beer competition their Red & their Brown would lose, The servers are good and the nightlife is as well, But for dinner you can find somewhere else way more swell. I used to come here every weekend in the summer when I was a single 21-year-old. 5 years later I was invited back for dinner, and the experience changed my perspective on the place. I got Lobster Mac & Cheese. It was almost $ 17 and I didn’t get much food. Who makes mac & cheese with ziti pasta and peas? The lobster meat was good(what lobster meat isn’t?) and the cheese was OK, but I was hoping for more. Last time I was here I got the Tavern burger, which was very juicy and flavorful. If you come for the food, don’t try to get fancy. Stick to the burgers and you’ll be alright. I tried the SBC Red and the SBC Brown(either brewed on-site or by one of the other local SBC locations) and I wasn’t impressed by either one. They had a special where Victory Prima Pils was $ 3(not bad!), so I stuck to that. The waitress was very bubbly and nice. She kept the drinks coming and checked in often. Once 10:30 hit it seemed as though 50 girls rushed to the dance floor and started breaking it down. Not a bad place to go if you’re single and ready to mingle on a weekend night, but you can probably do better for dinner.
