This Kmart sucks. It’s old and outdated and it honestly gives me the willys. I rarely go here unless I am in the area and I’m looking for something. I prefer Walmart in shelton or milford, hands down, over this place.

Yeah it’s run down and old and nothing compared to Kmart in Southbury for example, but it’s still night and day better than the Walmart in Stratford. It gets a star for having some nice employees and another star for not being Walmart. That’s really it because it’s a pretty sad store but hey at least it’s not Walmart. Did I mention Walmart is terrible?

This store needs to be completely gutted and reset with current merchandise, décor & equipment. Selling outdated, overpriced merchandise in a messy store will not help Sears Holdings out of it’s downward spiral.

Messy and unorganized. I did an online layaway transaction to be picked up in-store and I think I was the first one they’ve ever handled. The employees were nice enough, just very slow. I doubt I would come back here to do any regular shopping.

If you want to know why KMart has gotten blown away in the last 20 some odd years by Walmart and Target, look no further than this store. I’m astounded it’s still open. It’s cramped, cluttered, tiny, and OLD. It feels like walking into the wrong decade — it looks virtually the same as it did in the 1980s when I came here as a child with my parents. I stopped in on a recent weekend — in addition to the physical shortcomings and dowdy appearance, they were playing music loudly over the store’s speakers and there was only one register open with a long line. Thankfully they didn’t have what I was looking for, and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
