Awful! Horrible food and even more horrible service. We felt rushed the entire time we were there as our server was ending her shift and was ready to leave. Our first time here and had a dead fly in the cole slaw — gross! Mixed drinks were syrupy sweet, homemade chips were rubbery, and sour cream filmy. Will NOT be visiting again!

Reliable comfort food. Nothing spectacular but better than average. Specials can be a pleasant surprise

This is my go to breakfast place. The corned beef hash is very delicious, fresh, not canned. Definitely give it a try. Most breakfast items are standard but always tasty, large portions at reasonable prices. There are daily specials, plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a bar area with tvs. I have tried lunch and dinner items but they are just ok and don’t compare to the breakfast items.

I really love the food here. The service tonight is excellent much better then the last time we were here. I hope they have worked out there problems with there wait staff. They had a few waitress who should have been fired. The food is all homemade and cooked to order. It is a great place to watch a game, tv’s everywhere.

Nice wait staff. Efficient service. Lunch on a Monday. Not crowded. Had the clam chowder which was good perhaps a little to much bacon in it for me, but otherwise good. BLT was good. Wife had black bean soup. Some interesting looking items on the dinner menu. A solid three star. I am reluctant to give a 4 star without trying some if the more complex entrees

Went there to watch the Patriots… the beer tap was busted and several of the bottled selections were unavailable. The wings were ok. We ordered the prime rib sandwich, it was fine but nothing special. Not very busy in the bar or restaurant. The service was ok.

Stopped in for dinner with a party of 6. We sat outside, and had to wait for a while to receive menus. Waitress informed us she was the only one working, and apologized… nice girl. Menu has a good variety. As our food arrived, the bugs had started munching on us, so we asked to move inside. Our group was politely accomodated. Stuffed pepper was fantastic, and the other meals looked good. I would eat here again. Recommend the manager has the outside patio area sprayed for mosquitos, and maybe have a few bug zappers or traps.

Reliable comfort food. My brother and I go out once in a while to eat… Mom-food, essentially, and catch up on each other’s lives. We don’t want garnishes or gourmet on such occasions – just good basic food and an attentive, nice waitress. Chapangas has BOTH.

I went for the first time last night. The wife and I had a good time. The waitress was great and the food was excellent. I wasn’t expecting breakfast items on the menu that was a good surprise and the omelet was tasty. Thanks! To top it off I found a place less than 2 miles from home with good food.

Not terribly impressed. Have only gone there once for breakfast which was cold and greasy. Wait staff was very helpful and friendly though. I will have to give it another try sometime just in case this was a one shot bad experience but so far again not impressed

I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the place was so nice inside, since it used to be a fast food store. Any way, The food was very tasty, hot and fresh. The service was friendly and prompt. I know that they had a rough start with the former chef, but now things have really come around. The menu is nice and offers plenty of options but not overwhelming. I’d say if you had a bad experience in the past, try them again, Im sure you will change your mind about this place.

We have gone twice, both times the food has been excellent. But the thing that keeps it from being 4 or a 5 star is the service. The waitress seemed confused and forgot a lot of stuff. It was just not us either, the people that sat next to us want a refill and so did me wife. The both ask the waitress twice and then they both got up and went and ask again. If they could get the service up to par than I would give it a least a 4 star. But i might never know because we may never go back.

My review still stands for this place for when in wrote it. I guess they got new kitchen people, and the food got better. Service did to. Me and most of the other negative reviews are from when it was new. The place its a decent restaurant. Give it a try s your self.

It’s good. Not special & not bad — typical pub food. Nice staff. Good location. Bar is clean. A big WOW for dessert! Tiramisu slice is too big for to-go container!

I just cannot sit by and watch these reviews tank this place. I respect Ian’s reviews and I think it is accurate. However, I believe if you are looking at this from the eyes of a neighborhood resident, this place is fantastic. The staff is awesome, and they are always trying to find new ways to pull people in. Someone mentioned a «hockey puck» hamburger. I could not disagree more. I’ve had the bbq burger here at least a dozen times and it has been spot on every time. Great sauce, cooked medium, PRETZELROLL, and piled high with onion rings. I walked in today and they knew my order and put my beer down in front of me. Im calling myself Norm today. My wife is an Alfredo conosieur and gives much respect to their fettuccine Alfredo. I’ve nerve had a bad meal and I would eat here every day if I could. oh, and kudos on the outdoor seating. Pasta loft is great, but its nice to have someplace else to eat, drink, and enjoy the weather!

I have eaten here around 3 times. Today, 1÷30÷11 I had breakfast with my family here and I must say it has really improved in every aspect since my first visit. The first visit I had was on ½/2011 and the food was mediocre and the service was just plain slow. Today on the other hand, I can’t really complain about the service, our waitress was courteous, nice and very prompt. For example, they offered us coffee 4 times during our service and our waitress actually smiled several times. The food came out in about 15 – 20 minutes, I had the 3 egg(scrambled) plated breakfast. One aspect of the breakfast that was really outstanding was the toast, it was toasted perfectly and had this great tasting butter pre-applied. Overall, it was one of the better breakfasts I have had in a while and I can now recommend Chapanga’s without hesitation. This restaurant now has their act together, after a shaky opening a few months back. I feel this is Milford’s hidden gem and I will be returning many more times.

Second time is the charm… or they got a new cook in the last month. First time was take out…(my dog ate it, I“ll leave it at that) Tonight I went there with a friend and had the stuffed haddock… what a difference! It was moist, and done to perfection. We shared a peice of chocolate moose cake… Very rich, if that is your thing. Glad we shared it, as rish is not my thing. For the two of us I think it was $ 43 with coke and tea… so a bit on the pricey side. Wasn’t thrilled with the screaming child behind me. It seems to be sports themed, but there were several families there… The food was good… Service was good, atmosphere(minus the child) was good… I think I’ll go there again, be worth seeing if they can top the this meal or bomb like the first.

My boyfriend and I have tried this on two separate occasions. The first time we went, we went for wings(that were advertised outside on the sign) and beers and to watch the Pats on TV. First of all, they had their tap handles up, but no draft beer which was a major disappointment. Secondly, the bartender at the time had no idea what was going on with the wing special. We decided to stay and did have the wings, which were good, but overpriced for what they were. Another note about the advertised«come watch the pats and eat wings»; not to be picky but the big screen TV wasn’t in HD. I don’t understand how a restaurant trying to identify themselves in the sports bar selections in Milford would not spend the extra 10÷20÷30 dollars a month to opt for HD services. This is a lot of the reason why some people go to sports bars to watch games. I also felt very uncomfortable when the owner came over to chew the bartender(who was good) out over bottle organization, right in front of a bar full of customers. Very unprofessional. Overall, it was an OK experience. We realize that it is a fairly new restaurant and being breakfast restaurant lovers, we decided to try them for breakfast a few weeks later. It was just ‘OK’. Nothing special, and my omelet came out completely brownish, instead of the nice golden yellow you would expect. The home fries were not worth their calories. And everything was on the expensive side(and I am willing to pay for great food… if it’s great). The waitress was alright in the service department, but was so fake«applebee’s» friendly, it seemed disingenuous. With all the breakfast competition in town, I was hoping that they would put their best foot forward and really try and shine. It was just so ‘eh’ at every turn, I don’t expect we will be back anytime soon.

Chapanga’s Griddle & Grill opened for business very recently in Milford, just west of the downtown area on Elm Street. They serve breakfast(served anytime), lunch and dinner(served at 11AM). This place used to be a McDonald’s with drive-thru windows(no longer in service) still present on the east side of the building. Much of this restaurant was redone including the front and side dining areas with new tables and chairs, TVs, and the former order counter area is now a bar counter with seating. Do you want fries with your Bud Light, hehe??? I stopped in here to check the place out for lunch. I took a look over the menu to decide what I wanted to get for takeout. The breakfast section offerings include egg dishes, 3 egg omelets, pancakes, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast quesadillas, and breakfast sides. The lunch/dinner offerings include soups, entrée salads, sandwiches(w chips & pickle), half lb burgers, homestyle meals, pasta, and sides. Items with meals such as a side salad and fries or rings are extra charge. On weekdays, they offer $ 8.99 homestyle meal specials such as Sylvia’s Meat Pie(Tues), Lasagna(Wed), Meatloaf(Thu), and Fish & Chips(Fri). Coke products served here. The place was fairly busy over the weekend and the service seemed a bit scattered since the new staff was getting acclimated to this new restaurant. I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich($ 7.95) for takeout, which was ready in about 10 minutes. However, the check before tax was $ 9.70 and they gave me fries($ 1.75 extra charge) instead of the standard chips. I informed the bartender, who quickly realized this glitch and went back to the kitchen and corrected my check order to the lesser amount with chips and dill pickle spear. The pulled pork sandwich was big which had very finely minced/shredded and moist pork mixture with a very sweet BBQ sauce, the big bulkie was soft. The rippled chips were pretty standard and salty. I would definitely return to Chapanga’s once the«bugs» are worked out due to just being open for business, as the sign near the door advises customers upon entering.
