This is the third time we have gone there and the resteruant is empty but there is a 20 minute wait because they are understaffed. I honestly don’t know how they stay in business not to mention the hostess was so rude.

It had been years since we’d been to this place, we were reminded why last Friday evening. We were seated right away but 10 mins passed before our server came over to take our drink order. During that time the woman at the hostess station came over twice to ask if anyone had been over. When the server finally came over he stated that no one told him he had a table… guess this place doesn’t seat in sections. There was only about 10 other tables, not sure how any server could miss us. Ordered the prime rib and snowbird chicken platter. The bread they serve while waiting was pretty good. The prime rib came with a salad. a bowl full of brown core leaves and mushy tomatoes, practically uneatable. The prime rib tasted a day old and the snowbird chicken was tender but very greasy. Won’t be going back… ever.

I was very sad when many of the Bugaboo Creek Steakhouses closed several years ago. Recently I was excited to discover there was one location open less then 20 miles from home. Excited that is until I visited. This is not the Bugaboo Creek of years past. I went with several family members and all our experiences were similar. My salad was just ok, not fresh but not awful. The onion soup was only fair. It was oily and did not have a good flavor. The rib-eye was awful, an under seasoned flavorless piece of meat. One thing my kids always loved was the Snow Bird chicken(chicken fingers). For years they always raved that Bugaboo had the best chicken fingers. Unfortunately the menu states that there is a new recipe and it is not up to par with years past. I did try my son’s steak in the hope that my bad steak was just a fluke, unfortunately his was just as lousy as mine. The waiter was friendly and attentive, the place was clean, and the big buffalo head still talked. As exciting as the buffalo head was, it couldn’t make up for the substandard food. I don’t recommend this restaurant and don’t see us making another trip there.

Way over priced menu these days. Wont be back. Used to be affordable for a family to enjoy. $ 25 for mediocre prime rib.

We used Bugaboo Creek as our rehearsal dinner venue before our wedding in Holliston. Our waitresses were Kim and Meghan, and they were PHENOMENAL for the entire night! We had a party of 35 people(with some coming last minute and needing an extra table added) and they were extremely accommodating the entire time. We used the pre-fix menu, got 6 bottles of wine, and then had a «cash» bar atmosphere. The food was incredible and the steaks were all cooked perfectly — impressive when so many people needed to get their food at once! We have nothing but fantastic things to say about this restaurant — the wait staff, the kitchen, the manager, and their party coordinator were amazing every step of the way. We highly recommend it!

Rude service, incompetent bartender, mediocre food. I felt like I was a complete inconvenience to the staff. First I ordered vodka tonic to start. Bartender put vodka in glass first then ice, spilling half the booze out. Then the tonic over the ice spilling that everywhere with What I imagine what was the rest of the booze. Next we ordered Caesar salads, they came in piping hot salad bowls. Normally I like my salads chilled, I guess down on the creek they make them hot. I also ordered the biggest prime rib I could get. The first little bit was pretty good the other 90% tasted like pot roast. I ordered it rare, which normally is very juicy. This was extremely dry. If I had to guess they cooked it once then reheated it in a microwave. Total disappointment. Everything that was brought out was slammed down in front of us. The entertainment consisted of watching the waitress gathered around the service station pouring milk from one gallon jug into another gallon jug while carpet bombing the area with F bombs. Stay classy ladies. Defiantly will never come here again.

I miss Bugaboo. Living in Westwood, I USED to have the Dedham Bugaboo Creek, which unfortunately closed down years ago(so, so sad). I went there so many times, and so often it was VERY shocking went it closed. The Milford location(which is the only restaurant in MA left besides the one in Braintree) has mirror symmetry to the Dedham’s old restaurant layout, besides there is a talking buffalo here and they had a talking moose. My party was not seated near the talking buffalo(which was VERY disappointing, and supposedly they used to have 2 talking buffalos!). Anyway, everything at the restaurant was amazing, which I am surprised at sort of, looking at most of the other reviews for this restaurant. My waitress, Courtney was very friendly and attentive with everything my party needed. She even gave us 2 free rolls of the extraordinary bread they have(which is SPECTACULAR!!! and free, as a starter). I got a burger, which was delicious, yet be careful they gave me SO many fries on the side, I had to take some home(which barely ever happens at restaurants like this). The menu was a bit small, yet Bugaboo is still holding strong in Milford, and according to Courtney, they will NOT be closing, which is a good thing. Definitely one of the better restaurants in Milford. Highly suggested.

Early dinner for the family on a Friday. Kids split a chicken Caesar salad and each had a bowl of french onion soup. Both dishes were good and plentiful. Wife had fish and chips. Nice piece of cod and sweet potato fries. I had broiled salmon, rice and asparagus. Dishes were great. Service was prompt and attentive.

This is my first review on Unilocal that isn’t positive. Despite the other below average reviews I figured I would give this local place a shot over the chain restaurants that are near. To be fair I did order take out so I didn’t expect to be blown away. I decided to try the ribs with broccoli and rice medley. The ribs were average 3⁄5 but the sides we horrible. The rice was soggy and the broccoli was raw. They were thrown away. When I walked into the place to pick up my food(I called in the order) the smell of something made me immediately question my choice of ordering from there. The staff was very nice and the only reason I’m leaving a negative review is hopefully to help them make a change. I will not be back.

No wait, amazing cinnamon butter and bread as you wait. Black majik steak rub was incredible. One of the few places I’ve gotten a well done, very juicey steak. Mac and cheese was homemade(I think) and was great. The only downfall was the broccoli was a giant steam and not cut up(oh, the horror). I would come here over any large steakhouse chain anyday.

I’ve gotten take-out from here several times. The food has always been made exactly as ordered plus they give you the bread. I wish they had these in NJ.

My husband really enjoyed his ribs so I have to give them that. they fell off the bone. I was underwhelmed by my Chicken strips(for some reason the meat was YELLOWINPARTS???) Needless to say I didnt feel too great last night after. It was pretty pricey and the place was dead, but in a nearly empty restaruant they seated us directly next to a table with several small children. The service was alright, the onion sppetizer was 8 dollars though! Probably wont return.

Totally surprised to see the recent negative reviews! I was here last night and had another AMAZING experience. With plenty of bread, might I add. Again they went out of their way to suit our specific dietary needs and our waitress(Megan, I think?) was great! The one downside was that I couldn’t check in on Unilocal as it said it couldn’t confirm my location, but I think that was a problem on my end or Unilocal’s end. Anyway, I love this place and greatly appreciate the service that is usually above and beyond! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, as usual. Really, just another great experience.

The food is totally below average. I stopped here with my friend en route to a weekend in the Cape and started the meal by sharing the bbq chicken nachos. While they were tasty enough, it was really just a plate of chips with melted cheese, bbq sauce, and a couple strands of pulled chicken. After that, I ordered a lunch combo — simple caesar salad and a plate of chicken tenders. The salad was decent but the chicken was so slimy that I couldn’t have more than a few bites. It was breaded in some strange panko-esque crust that would have been good but the chicken was strangely wet — and not«moist, tender chicken» — like slimy wet. My friend’s burger was mediocre. While we were two of the only people in the restaurant, service was creepily slow. Overall, not impressed.

Super bummed! I can’t believe I’m typing this! We live in RI and actually travel almost an hour to go here. Boy oh boy we used to LOVE this restaurant. ***note: On purpose, since we are traveling this far, we come on less busy times(in holes of good service). Unfortunately, the good has changed over the last several months. First, they didn’t bring back the Seafood Nachos this year(we hear people sitting around us complain about it each time we are there). That’s a bummer and makes little sense, since it was a real hit according to the staff. Second, the coveted Prime Rib has changed in flavor(along with the now so strong tasting it can’t be used Au jus sauce). Asked for more bread, never got it. Third, the Garlic Smashed Potatoes didn’t appear to have any garlic in them. Asked for more bread, never got it. Fourth, the side of Sautéed Mushrooms(something I personally really look forward to and often buy 2 of) have completely changed and now are nothing special. Like at all. Asked for more bread, never got it. Fourth, and this one really broke my heart, the Onion Soup. I was excited to see they now have cups and crocks. So I ordered the crock and started to drool just remembering how good it is. Then it came(2⁄3 full with soup all over the serving plate — so it clearly spilled), not wanting to wait any longer, I just dug in. Flavor was good, down right yummy. Just as it’s been so many times before. At first I struggled with what was missing, then it came to me. My onion soup didn’t have any onions in it. SOOOOO disappointing. Like most people, I had my wife and starving kids with me, so sending things back really wasn’t an option. It was all certainly edible, so I decided it «is what it is» and figured we’d just let some time pass until we try again. But, as I received our check, the manger(who was checking with tables asking how everything was) asked me. So, I proceeded to tell her the above mentioned things in a modest way and let her know how disappointing it was. I didn’t receive an apology, just it «should have had onions» & «yeah, those changed». Totally bummed. $ 40 in gas, $ 100 on dinner poof, gone.

My husband’s steak was excellent. Mine was okay. Holly says hers was really good. There were easily 30 available tables and yet there was a fifteen minute wait. Despite the fact I was promised singing/moving animals and a talking moose, that never materialized, the ambiance was lovely. Like a lodge, sort of.(Wait, that’s not true, once Holly saw a goose spin his head around like the Exorcist, so one animal moved.) Until my husband threw a napkin down next to them half way through our meal, the waiter and the manager both ignored two pieces of orange that were sitting on the floor next to our table.(The waiter had to step over them to get to us, it’s not like they were under the table.) We’re not sure what the oranges were a part of. Don’t be fooled into getting their signature Moose Juice… it’s watered down vodka with some pineapple flavoring. The waiter said«It goes down easy!» to which my husband replies(to me, after he walked away) «Yeah, because there’s not much moose in the juice!» The choices of food are«okay»…your usual suspects of steak and then some other stuff(nothing that stood out to me). The choices of side dishes were pretty miniscule(seven types of potato, onions, «mixed veggies» and more potatoes) and not really well cooked. The amount of salt on my baked potato made me schedule an appointment to have my blood pressure checked. I’m sure when they are«on their game» you get an experience like these four and five star reviews(although there was nothing called the Kain’s Skillet Strip on the menu). They were certainly NOT on their game tonight(we think we heard the manager say«I want to go home» as she was walking past us). Should we ever find ourselves in Milford again we will not be seduced into walking across the street for dinner. We will drive. Not exactly surprised to hear they’ve had financial issues. You won’t leave screaming, but if you have other options, you should pursue them.
