Decent hotel for the price we paid. We stayed 3 nights, Friday-Sunday. They have breakfast every morning but they don’t keep it very well stocked and they start cleaning it up before 10:00(which is the time they say it goes until). First morning I tried to get some orange juice and it was empty(about 9:30), so I informed the front desk. They filled it shortly after that and I got one tiny glass(maybe 3 oz?), but when I finished my glass and went to fill it again they had already started cleaning up and emptied it(about 9:50). The waffles are very tasty, but the iron sticks every time(they have no spray available) so if you use it, I advice buttering the griddle first or bringing your own nonstick spray. They also have hard boiled eggs, doughnuts, toast, mini bagels, english muffins, and two kinds of cold cereal. Cream cheese and butter were frozen, I had to thaw in microwave, and the jam was out the first day(again I don’t think they stock it the best). The primary reason we chose this hotel was because of the indoor pool and hot tub available. The pool area is pretty nice, though not fancy. Hot tub is pretty small(capacity 6), but they keep it nice and hot, which I think is a good thing. The pool is just about the right temperature. There are nice bathrooms off the pool area with showers. There is also a small exercise room and a game room. The only problem with the pool was the chlorine level. So much chlorine it burns your eyes, can’t go under the water. Even without going under the water, the fumes were so strong that my eyes were burning within about 20 minutes. The room was decent. We had one queen bed and a sofa. Bed wasn’t super comfortable, but satisfactory. Pillows were good. One thing to note if you are a light sleeper is that the hotel is right near a train track and trains run throughout the night. It is loud from the room, even when the whistle isn’t blowing. It woke me up multiple times a night and I don’t typically consider myself a light sleeper. The couch was questionable, looked dirty and dungy so we never really sat on it(though if you brought your own blanket to cover it, it would probably be fine). Shower and bathroom were clean, though the towels aren’t very soft. TV is nice, 40 inch flat screen BUT major problem with it is the channels! They continually loose the signal, it’s hard to find anything to watch without the signal going out after some time. Relatively close to Sandusky/Cedar Point(10 maybe 15 minutes), but it gets to be a bit far from Marblehead(which was our main attraction). Next time we wouldn’t want to be so far away. If you stay here and want pizza, I definitely recommend Marco’s pizza, they deliver to the hotel and are very good. Also, for mexican food I recommend Casa Real in Sandusky. Overall, it was a decent stay. About what I expected for what I paid.

Nice place, affordable and clean! Staff is friendly and very safe environment, got discount using my AAA membership so it was more cheaper then it already is. Free continental breakfast and pool also! I would recommend this place to a friend if somebody is going that way!

I needed a place to crash so I could sleep and then get back onto the interstate, so for that purpose this hotel was adequate. It is inexpensive and is just off of I-80. If you plan on actually booking this place for a stay, well… just accept that like with any motel, for the price, you are making concessions. Mine was a dim room that needed lots of attention(peeling paint, ceiling stains, etc). Apparently, turn down service consists of the toilet seat placed in the upright position, the bowl full of a stranger’s urine and toilet paper. The light over the bathroom mirror did not work. At least the sheets and pillows were clean, eh?

Absolutely disgusting hotel! The room was filthy and the door to the bathroom was stuck open. Stains all over the floors and walls, no trash bags in the trash cans, and the front door barely closed tight! When we told the front desk the issues in the room, they couldn’t care less. Avoid this hotel at all costs! Would never go there again.

This hotel was a little farther from Sandusky than I expected when booking it($ 50 on hotwire). There is nothing really close to it as far as entertainment or dining(but Brothers Pizza deliveres, and is pretty ok), so you may want to grab something on the way. The pool is ok, and they have a little patio… that’s about it. Front desk staff was foreign(and unfamiliar with the area), but friendly. My only annoyance was the many rambunctious children(as in 13 – 16 year olds) that were banging on doors and running around very early in the morning. The breakfast was over run by the time I got there, so I had no real hope of getting anything other than an english muffin and apple juice. They did have a waffle maker, and boiled eggs, as well as cereal and obviously some other stuff before I got there. Average motel.

Great price for a place that is so convenient to Cedar Point, but don’t expect much more. We paid $ 60 less for our three night stay here than friends of ours paid for two nights at a hotel closer to the park. The drive is less than 20 minutes so we got up, had there(low-budget) continental breakfast and got to the park before it opened without having to gt up with the birds. This is a two story structure with no elevator, so pack lightly… you may end up taking the stairs a lot. The pool and hot tub were not in great condition and were pretty cold(yes, even the«hot» tub was cold” considering they were indoor. The room was clean but worn and in desperate need of an upgrade. And the hotel is RIGHT off the turnpike as well as near railroad tracks so you do hear some traffic and the train going by. If you are looking for a place to crash after a long day walking around the amusement park, this is perfect. If you’re planning on spending any more time than that in your hotel, go elsewhere.
