I was out shopping for fresh poultry with my mother and she suggested this place for the quality and the freshness. I was totally shocked when I saw so many live animals! Parakeets and bunnies are caged up in the front for sale. You can look right through the glass and see the chickens and rabbits that will soon be turned into dinner. It’s kind of sad looking through the window and watching all the caged chickens huddled together. I honestly can’t complain about eating fresh chicken though! Horrible parking and pricey, quality meat.

Can’t get any fresher of a kill than that. I come here for the rabbits mostly but they have excellent variety! My hippie inner squirrel has to avert its eyes but my carnivorous tendencies win out on this one. Eat FRESH meat! Stop going to your markets for meat and come here to an in house butcher shop :) you don’t have to watch if you don’t want to.

They sell PET baby rabbits here. Super adorable. Please help these rabbits find a food home. They are $ 8 for a rabbit. Cheap rabbits It is kind of sad going here because these chicken and rabbits are being sold to eat. Except the baby rabbits

Pricier than their competitions regarding balut eggs and whole hen/rooster. Ladies are friendly but parking is terrible. They open until 7:00PM, which is better later than their competition.

Fresh meat is always tastier than frozen meat or a week-old meat. Be sure to be specific on what you want if you call in to order. For example; I want two brown chicken with head cut-off, or five pigeons with head and skin undamaged. Without specific request, you may end up getting stuff you are not happy with. Other than that, freshly slaughtered poultry is always tastier than poultry you find at regular markets.

I love coming here for fresh chicken! And also fresh duck thighs for my boyfriend! But the fresh fuck thighs are pretty expensive, like about $ 2.50 for an average size duck thigh.

Chose this place cause they take credit cards. There is duck, brown and white chicken, quail, pigeon and rabbit. They also sold me some chicken fat I use to cook my rice with. There’s also a window for you to see the birds, although you might not want to. The store also sells a good selection of Tampico spices.

Dude, you’re complaining about them leaving the gizzard, heart, and liver? It’s a sign that you’re not that good of a cook.

I am not a huge meat cooker, but this is where I go with my mom to get chickens killed and eat them. Parking is terrible but the tasty chicken is worth it. I get anxiety when I come here.

I think the chicken here is the most tasty of the chicken killers in Orange County. But the chicken thighs here are a little tough. Depending on what you are making, this may not matter to you.

I came here today instead of Dakao Poultry for a live chicken. I had seen it when I went to Dakao the last time. It is only about a block away. This place has more than chickens though, they also sell pigeons, quail, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, and they also sell a variety of chickens including the white and brown varieties available at Dakao, the black chickens as well as the ‘old brown’ chickens. On top of that, this place is halal so it works out for people who are on halal restrictions. The brown chickens are $ 9.50 each here(50 cents more than Dakao) but when I asked the lady to cut off the head she not only did that, but when I brought it home, she had cut the feet off as well and put them in the bag(I had told her I wanted the feet) and also the neck part sans head. The only complaint I have is that they don’t clean the chicken as well as Dakao. I found bits of skin, a couple of plumes still left near the wing(hahaha like armpit hairs if you will). The liver, gizzard and heart, though detached, were left inside the carcass and the inside wasn’t cleaned as well. Both places are equal in freshness. It all depends on where you like shopping at… both places are good, but if you need more than just chickens, this place will have the goods. They have Muscovy ducks in season right now I noticed… grab ‘em if you wanna cook ‘em.
