I love Phở… I think this place has some of the best broth I have tasted!

A little pricey & just okay. There are so many great places to get phở: Shanghai café or chaabar are great. Skip these guys & try those I’ve suggested

I’m a big fan of Phở Cali and have been eating here since they opened(before that I went to the West Valley location). Everything I’ve ordered has been very good, I especially like the spring rolls — it’s one of the few places that seems to realize that spring rolls are not supposed to be deep fried(they do have egg rolls if that’s your thing). The Phở and Vermicelli are both fantastic, the service is prompt but casual and welcoming.

Not sure if they’re understaffed but they shouldn’t be because it’s Saturday. My bf and I were waiting for our phở for 30 minutes. there were 5 other tables that were waiting for their food so they must of been waiting longer. we ended leaving because that’s pretty ridiculous especially for phở since it’s usually fast to deliver. Probably won’t be coming back to this location again.

A solid place for some Phở and under $ 10. Get the regular bowl, they are huge! I save the 4 – 5 stars for top notch restaurants, but given the price this is a solid choice for some lunch or quick dinner. Not a fancy place, but the food is good. I had the beef brisket phở.

This is a branch off their main on in west valley. They don’t really have the friendly boss lady here, but at least the waitress and waiters know how to speak proper English. The west valley branch waitress and waiters knows only limited English. The décor of this place is very similar to the old place, but it seems they spend a little more time decorating here. In comparison the taste of the phở is very similarly delicious. I really like bun bo hue. It is very rich. I love their fresh veggie plate they provide to go with your soup noodles. If you don’t feel like going all the way to west valley but you are near midvale this place practically taste the same. I would totally recommend this place for decent delicious phở and bun bo hue. The food taste the same like their original branch. The place is very spacious. And the Service is very nice, they are very tentative.

Wow! Really the phở here was not really phở. I ordered the house special in a large bowl. The size was impressive but that’s the extent of the impressiveness. The phở’s broth was so plain and lacked flavor as if it was watered down, also the steak and meat balls tasted old and chewy, if you know phở, the meat needs to be tender and looking fresh, the meat tasted neither. So sad. I wanted to cheer for this place but can’t. We also ordered the shrimp spring roll… Mistake, the shrimp was sliced paper thin to give only an illusion of ample shrimp. It was lacking taste and genuine quality, it consisted of white noodles and dipping sauce. Can you say disappointment:(The facility However is new and clean so they get some kudos.

First time at this location. My experience here was good. I got the bun bo hue and it was probably one of the best tasting ones I’ve had compared to other places. The service was good and the place is clean.

As far as taste, this location is like the West Valley location — very inconsistent. The first time we came, the phở was flavorful and great. We returned the second time and it was on the bland side with no aroma of star anise or cinnamon, which is a must for authentic phở. The service was a bit slow but we got the items we needed and our water was refilled consistently. I did like the open space and the cleanliness of the new place compared to the old place. The individual portions of beansprouts were also a plus.

Came to eat Phở and I must say, was pretty tasty. Broth wasn’t salty and have good amount of meat in them. Place was tightly and clean, which is always nice. Price was little bit cheaper than other Phở places I’ve been to, so can’t complain about that. I would of gave 5 stars… but shrimp spring rolls could do improvement. But if you just want Phở, I highly recommend it.

Great Phở. One of the best in the valley. Terrible service. They are very understaffed and they food is VERY slow. Sometimes there is no one to seat you and when you finish your meal you are just supposed to know that you pay at the little window. I hope the service gets better. Their other location is much better.

So when I entered, I could tell that they seemed a bit understaffed. The server didn’t know whether to sit me or continue taking the order at the table he was at. But nevertheless, he seemed extremely attentive. The place appeared extremely clean, although it’s on the plain side. One wall is entirely glass, and I can’t help but feel that it let’s in way too much light. The wall has nothing but art that you buy at IKEA. I hope that, in the future, they might consider making it feel more Vietnamese, and not Swedish IKEA. I would suggest curtains so the sound levels, from surrounding patrons, might be dampened. With almost bare walls and tiled floor, the sound level is high. But let’s get to the food. I ordered the house special soup. It had several types of beef, alongside noodles and broth. I’ll admit that I haven’t had much of Vietnamese cuisine, so I don’t have much to compare it to. But it was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially once I gave up trying to use the spoon and switched to chopsticks. The last time I was here, I had a noodle dish rather than the soup. I think I enjoyed that slightly more. But in either case, I’ll be coming back here again. For the price you pay, they deliver on quantity and quality.

I really enjoy my experiences here. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There are three things I must try at every new Thai place I go. Phở, spring rolls with peanut sauce, and iced Thai tea. All three are great here! The peanut sauce is some of the best I’ve had in a while. Their spring rolls aren’t a mouth full of dry veggies they had decent sized shrimp in them. The phở tastes fresh and flavorful in a great broth! Last of the three is their Thai iced tea, It’s very sweet! I do prefer more tea flavor than sweet but it was still pretty good. I’ve also tried some of their vermicelli and it was great they gave me plenty of fish sauce to pore over the top. The noodles were great the egg rolls were nice and crunchy and I couldn’t ask for more. I’ll definitely be coming back again… and again.

i thought this place was meh. i was really looking forward to trying this place since there’s not too many phở places in the south valley. i called to see what time they closed and they told me, «around nine or earlier.» well, that wasn’t a great answer as i didn’t want to show up to a dark and empty restaurant. i booked it over there after work around 8PM and luckily they were still open. i was promptly seated and brought over water. i’ve been to the west valley location several times and have never liked it as it was too oily. i’m not sure if this place is the same owner, but they do have the same name. i went with my usual, phở tai, and it was just average. it wasn’t oily, but it wasn’t flavorful and was actually really bland. the server brought me extra limes as requested, but that didn’t help much either. i don’t use hoisin sauce in my phở so the broth is really important to me. i would say skip this place and go to phở saigon instead, which seems to have fixed their oily phở problem and has recently been really good. also, i came here yesterday to get some phở to go. i called ahead to order and they didn’t know what«phở tai» was. uhhh if you work there you should know the menu. he then asked me if i knew the menu item number. how can i when there’s no website with no menu? luckily i had uploaded a picture to Unilocal previously so i knew it was #4. when i got home i realized that in one container they had put both the RAW meat and fresh vegetables right next to each other, and yes, it was all touching each other. that is disgusting and so unsanitary. now i’ll never be back since i don’t trust the cleanliness of their kitchen and their lack of knowledge(more likely lack of caring) of sanitary practices with food.

I am thinking this place is 3 – 4 star. If they made their broth like Phở Hoa or Phở 33 it would be a solid 4 star. I like their fresh veggie plate and the service is so attentive. Love how spacious the new location is. Parking lot needs some work on it as everything is kinda jam packed.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to any friends or family! All I have to say is don’t go into their west valley kitchen or you’ll be traumatized and don’t expect good service despite their new location being new. I used to really enjoy their food, but one day I found a sharp piece of metal while biting into a noodle dish, and when I told the owner she just told me «you want another plate» I said no thanks just credit me next time I come since I truly enjoyed the place. Later I found out how nasty the kitchen was and at this new location in Midvale the customer service was terrible and the wait for one plate of noodles was a little over half an hour despite the lack of people. Overall customer service is unwelcoming and I was a regular at their west valley location but slowly it’s like its been getting worse. Food here is great, but I’d truly recommend staying away since I wouldn’t trust what they could do to my food there. Lastly, I did get severe diarrhea which isn’t common for me lol so if you’re okay with all please be their guest.

Very aesthetically pleasing inside, was immediately helped with my order when I arrived, I chose the house special phở. The broth was delicious and I was very pleased with the amount of noodles, meat, and veggies that came with it. But I couldn’t help but feel it was missing something. Overall great food worth checking out.

This serves the best phở in Utah, the owner and people are extremely nice and they remember you and your normal order. We used to go to their other location but this is closer to us coming from Utah county. The broth is amazing and super tasty. Other phở places their broths are watered down and oily but not Phở Cali! Thumbs up!

I was so pleased with my experience here! Immediately a 5-star as soon as we walked in. We were greeted by a very friendly staff, and though they were quite busy, we never felt neglected at all. The atmosphere is also very nice, very clean, and very inviting. The food was fantastic. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls(they also have them with chicken) and I ordered the house special phở(#20). So far, this place has my favorite peanut sauce for the spring rolls. They were excellent. The phở was amazing. It had a great flavor to it, and the accompaniments to it were very fresh. I will return to try some more of their dishes, but if it all meets the same quality, this will definitely be one of my favorite places.
