We stop here often on the road. Price seems in line with other home BBQ joints I know(sandwich $ 5.50, with sides $ 8.50). No pork, only beef. Loaded baked potato is good. Mac & Cheese is very good. Dessert can be counted as a side dish. Street tacos are good if you add a little sour cream. ;-) Great clean restrooms too, and well stocked Shell station with it. Sonic here too if you have picky eaters in the family.

Excellent customer service and awesome BBQ half chicken, sausage, and sides. Its a quick service restaurant inside of a travel stop with a sonic and shell gas station with cool texas gifts. I got my food to go and ate it later and it was great and fast. Spicy bbq sauce is warm and on point.

We stopped here on our road trip home. It was incredibly clean and very nice. I had to try the BBQ so I ordered a dinner plate with sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and baked beans. The meat was very delicious! It was so tender and juicy with a ton of flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy and extra cheesy but could’ve used a little salt. The baked beans were a disappointment though. They had potential but lacked any kind of zing; it was just very bland. I would definitely eat here again though! Their customer service was good, too.

Hands down the worst BBQ in Midlothian, or the area, for that matter. I know they recently changed ownership but things haven’t gotten much better. The BBQ is overpriced, the sides are bland and the service is sub-par. One example: I recently ordered a sliced BBQ sandwich. I asked for it to be lean, with as little fat as possible. I ordered this to go and got home. My wife took a bite of the sandwich and spit it out. She pulled the bun off and there were literally two slices of the fattiest, slimiest brisket you will ever see. I like fat on my brisket and this was way too much for me. I drove all the way back to the restaurant(I live 8 minutes away) and told them that I had ordered a lean sandwich and not gotten a lean sandwich. The guy remembered me and proceeded to argue with me that he had cut it from the«lean brisket», whatever that means. I had the food with me and told him, in front of 6 other people, to tell me that meat was lean. You could see all the fat from ten feet away. He said«that is how all our brisket is, so I can’t make it any leaner». Fine, then don’t tell me you can make a lean brisket sandwich then. He finally gave in and asked if he could replace it so I said sure, how about the smoked chicken. Of course, they were out. I told him to forget it and left. We won’t be back. Take your business to Ellis County or make a trip into Waxahachie or Cedar Hill(Soul Man’s).

The BBQ has a good smoked flavor. The only thing is the portion is kind is kind of small for their price. It’s connected with a shell gas station which I stop by every morning to get an energy drink. The place is always nice and clean.
