This hotel was renovated in November 2015 and the renovations are gorgeous! It appears to me that the hotel has addressed and remedied the concerns voiced in some of the earlier Unilocal reviews. The front lobby is so pretty, with modern furnishings and a roaring fireplace. So very welcoming to walk into such a nice environment after a long day on the road. The room was super clean, comfortable, recently renovated and very nicely decorated with brand new furnishings and appliances. I thought the bed was comfy and the full kitchen was great. The shower had good water pressure. The free breakfast was great. Having free wi-fi was fantastic. Erica and Cynthia at the front desk were both awesome; super welcoming, personable and helpful. I really enjoyed meeting them. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to you. In addition to being a nice hotel, the price was super reasonable. And I am pretty snobby when it comes to hotels. Thank you for the nice stay!

I have been staying here for two straight years. Started off good but progressively got worse. Bad room service, dirty floors, dirty pool. And now the dinner service has stopped… Well they serve chips and dip!!! WTF! They stopped dinner on Thursdays. Then a few weeks later stopped Wednesday them Tuesday now Monday!!! So my company pays $ 200+ a night for room and board but there is no food at night. My work starts at 5am but breakfast isn’t until 630am… Can’t wait till I leave to the Hilton. Do not stay here for the price!!!

Another trip to Midland, April 6, 2015. This time, my room keys did not work once I got up to the 4th floor room. I had to haul the luggage back down to the front desk. After getting new keys, it was time to haul all of the luggage back up to the 4th floor. But, once I got room 402 open, it wreaked of urine. I found a staff member out in the hall, and asked them to please come verify the odor or if it was my imagination. YES, it had the sweet smell of piss — like an outhouse. Someone’s dog? Or a real slob? The real issue is, when housekeeping made up the room, why didn’t they notice the smell of urine? It was obvious! Why didn’t housekeeping notify the front desk or maintenance? Back down to the front desk for a different room. Time to haul all of the luggage to the new room. This is normally a very clean and well maintained hotel. The staff is slipping… and guests are being majorly inconvenienced. Again — though I’m Marriott Silver Elite, NO welcome gift(other guests got them).

LOVED the room, the kitchenette and space was great. Best free breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. Lots of variety! Had walnuts and chocolate chips and whip cream and whatever you wanted for waffles. Only thing we didn’t like was the pool was not very well heated, understandable due to the cold as well as the room didn’t have a bathtub. Very friendly service as well. We got it through Priceline for $ 60 which was an amazing deal!

Disgusting isn’t even the world. After a long drive from Tucson to Dallas I made a midway stop in Midland. On the outside it seemed nice and clean so I took a shower and got in bed. Within 10 minutes I started to feel weird and noticed bloody spots all over my shirt. I turned on the light and there was bed bugs EVERYWHERE! I went down stairs and told the front desk clerk who honestly didn’t seem like he cared at all. He offered me another room begrudgingly and I asked him if he could double check it to make sure it was clean and bed bug free before I moved my stuff over(I had 2 dogs with me and was moving cross country so I had a lot of things with me.) He wouldn’t do it, so I basically packed up and in the middle of a snow storm at 1AM decided to just sleep drive to Dallas. Was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel and it has quite honestly scared me. I will probably never be able to sleep in a hotel bed again after this.

Very nice weekday social event served with dinner and thanks for the accommodating server. Compliments to the cook for a great breakfast with eggs cooked just right. Compliments to the accommodating desk clerk who moved our room to overlook our parked trailer. By Jimmy 12÷28÷12

I had to make an emergency trip to Midland for family. I had not been back in 18 years prior to April 7, 2012. Checked out Unilocal for hotels since I had less than a day to get up to Midland. Found this hotel with its reviews and gave it a chance. I really digg the apartment styled layout vs a traditional hotel layout. I had no issues here for myself although the hotel room I stayed in(room 416) sprung a leak under the floor and I ended up showering in a different room before checking out. Will definitely stay here next time I am in Midland.

This hotel is a great option when staying in Midland. The midway location between Midland and Odessa makes commuting between the two cities convenient. But there aren’t a lot of restaurants nearby and delivery options are limited, so be prepared to drive for food, espcially the non-chain places. Inside the hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious with full kitchen and a nice bar/counter for a sit down meal. The living space and bathroom were clean. But the lighting in the bathroom was horrible. I had to shower with the door open to get light from the vanity. The breakfast options are the standard fare. There is also an evening reception where you can have a full meal. I was impressed with the salad bar offerings. And they keep the beer and wine flowing. The gym had plenty of room. I hate hotels that will try to cram workout equipment into an old room. Their 24 hour facility had 2 treadmills, an elliptical, a bike and weights with a bench. There is even a scale if you need to help keep yourself in check when on an expense account and reading Unilocal reviews of great restaurants. The staff is super friendly and very hospitable which adds to the great experience.

This Residence Inn is located close to where Loop 250 meets highway 158, so if you have to work between Midland and Odessa it’s very convenient. It’s close to many shops and restaurants, and only about 2 exits away from the mall. Due to natural gas/oil business in the area the hotel is packed, and sells out well in advance. The parking lot is full at night, and not the easiest to find a space. The rooms are set up more apartment style, which is great for longer term travelers, or those with kiddos. The kitchens have full size refrigerators, dishwasher, stove, and small bar area with stools that has a clear view of the flat screen TV. TV channels not so great: no Bravo, MTV, E!, but I had my Nook and iPod so made due. The wifi was very slow, they may need more routers for the amount of people staying here. Even though the hotel was packed and my room was by the elevator I didn’t hear a thing… it was nice and quiet at night.
