This is our third time here, and these are my observations. Margaritas so tart with mix it made my esophagus burn to the high heavens and they are inconsistent as to how much tequila they put in them, so they are average at best. And apparently, they like salt here. Their salsa is WAY too salty. I mean, mouth puckering, kidney failing salty. I know this is just my opinion, but guys… tone the salt down. The food on the other hand is very good. hasn’t crossed into the realms of great but it is a solid GOOD food spot. Pork tacos are delicious and the Relleno was excellent. Good service. A solid, go to spot for the Midland Odessa area. Just bring your dialysis machine if you want to eat the salsa.

Waitresses walking around me for 10 minutes and all of the sudden I get 3 in a row asking what I want. I order a menudo and a short glass of beer. Beer came two minutes before the menudo. Tasted the menudo and guess what? Nothing but salt in it. I tell waitress and the first thing she tells me «you know you still have to pay for it, right? Make me feel like a scumbag trying to get a free meal. Pay and left. Will never come back to this so call restaurant.

This is such a wonderful place! I used to come here on lunch breaks while working in the south part of Midland, back when I still lived there a year ago. It had nice décor & a great atmosphere. Quiet & peaceful, but enough lighting to read. Usually not a problem with waiting for restrooms(1-seater), & they were kept clean. I had some favorite vegetarian-friendly plates. I don’t remember the official names listed on the menu, but it was something like chile relleno or cheese enchilada. Very convenient for lunches in South Midland!

This is the breezy Mexican food in Midland. It has both authentic and Tex Mex good. Service is awesome and the people are friendly. Clean restrooms and very clean restaurant. Very big portions I couldn’t finish all my good. Definitely worth the trip.

Chips are stale and salsa is pretty salty but everything else was fantastic INCLUDING our service. I’ve been here once a week this month for the lunch buffet and haven’t been disappointed. It’s legit. Give it a try

I was craving Mexican food and decided to give one of Midland’s many local choices a try. I saw this impressive building and said«Why not?» Turns out, the building, atmosphere, and décor is the best this place has to offer. I was seated promptly but waited quite a bit before my waitress showed up. Another waiter/bussboy put down chips and salsa(without saying a word) on my table before my waitress ever came. I was nearly done with my first basket of chips before my drink order was taken. There is little coordination between the wait staff as multiple waiters/waitresses passed without asking if someone had taken my drink order, etc. Once I did order my drink(water) the waitress forgot the lemons I had requested. Now on to the food. I ordered queso to start off. The queso reminded me of the stuff you buy in the big tin cans or concession style. Not very impressed. Also wasn’t the warmest and was quite thick. The chips weren’t great either. Semi stale and cold. For my main meal I ordered Berta’s Plate. It was two beef chile relanos, rice, beans, guacamole and two flour tortillas. The beef was very greasy and unflavored. The whole plate was lacking spices in general. Needed salt and spicy. Too bad my table didn’t have a salt shaker. Anyway, wasn’t impressed with this place. At least I know where not to go from now on. Cool building though.

Dinner mid-week was tasty, not extraordinary. Service was acceptable. It’s good Mexican food, I have had better and worse. Good value for the money. Refills are few and far between, servings are ample not extra large.

My husband and I love this place. The food is great, it is a great price, and the atmosphere is great. The place is very cute, and we always get good service. I have been to other Mexican restaurants in midland that are similar to this one, and this one is my favorite.

We stopped here after trying to go to three other places that were out of business, so this was our forth choice. We were driving from Tucson to Dallas and needed to stop for gas and some dinner. I ordered the salad plate for $ 5.99. I’m not sure why they call it that because it is one cheese enchilada, one beef taco and a fried corn tortilla with«cheese» sauce. The taco was average, the fried corn tortilla with«cheese» sauce was horrible, but the cheese enchilada was pretty good. The red sauce was actually fantastic! The enchilada was rolled tight so there wasn’t a lot of cheese, but sauce was worth the stop! It’s dark and smokey. I mentioned to the waitress that the fried corn tortilla with«cheese» sauce was tasteless and so she asked if I wanted something else, so I got another cheese enchilada, and she didn’t charge me extra. My husband ordered two cheese enchiladas and a beef tamale ala cart… he wants to go back just for the tamales. The restaurant seemed clean but the cushions on the booths were all ripped up. It had a festive atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food came out really fast and hot. The chips were decent but neither of us cared for the salsa. The prices were great. We ended up spending $ 20 with tip and we each had a drink. If this restaurant were in Tucson I’m not sure I would go back, but the food was good enough to stop again on our way back thru.

Packed for lunch today! I can see why. The food is great. The service is up for grabs cause they can’t really handle it. More host/cashier help needed. I loved my pork tacos with pico and avocado. The beans were terrific. Some of the best I’ve had. Very good chips and salsa.

Never been a fan of Mexican food buffets but this place seems to be doing it right. There was a line out the door for lunch but for three of us only waited 15 minutes. All of the food was fresh, homemade and plenty of it. The tortillas were store bought but not an issue. Three options on enchiladas, quesadilla, chicken fajita, hard shell tacos, beans, rice and all the garnish and appetizers. Only con was the buffet serving area was in a corner and the line did not flow very well.

I had not eaten here in a while but some friends invited me to join them here recently. We had the lunch buffet. There were enchiladas, beans & rice, quesadillas, sopaipillas etc. Not outstanding but not bad. Enchiladas were good, there were types with red and green sauce. Quesadillas were a little burned. Service was polite but they didn’t refill drinks as often as they should have.

Had the lunch buffet! Plenty of options to choose from like fajitas, enchiladas, quesadillas, all the sides, lil Mexican beignets with cinnamon and brown sugar with honey to top it off! All for $ 9.75 can’t beat that.
