This is my first time here the place is a little dark but not bad I’m sure If the ac was working I would have stayed longer. I had wings Thai peanut butter wings they are big but a little dry and buffalo ravioli they were a little over cooked we also had a bacon blu cheese burger I ordered it medium and got it well bun wasn’t toasted the sweet potato fries were the best part of my meal I will be back to give them another try

I love it here! Tons of beer choices, great wings and you can’t beat the pizza. The fried pickles and buffalo raviolis are also a personal favorite, along with the fresh mozz salad. I recommend having Gina make you a pistachio shot next time you’re at the bar! Carmela and Matt, the owners, are always around and attentive! Make sure you come on a Saturday to get great deals on shots, well drinks and domestic beer. The DJ Matt has had lately is a lot of fun too.

I called at 11:30 on a Saturday to see if they were still open, the girl responded «we’re still here», so not knowing what that meant exactly I asked OK what time the kitchen. Closer, she responded its open. Not trying to be a dick and order something 30 mins before they closed I said OK thank you and she hang up on me.

I’ve been to Matty’s at least 15 – 20 times. Usually the service, food, and drinks are very good. The last few times I’ve gone, though, I’ve gotten pretty bad service from one bartender in particular. The last time was on Sunday, Jan 11 at around 1pm. I don’t know her name, and I wouldn’t put it on here anyway, but she’s very slow (especially if you’re sitting at a table). She’s not very friendly, and she spends a lot of time talking to other employees or looking at her phone. At one point she even sat at a table with a customer for a few minutes while I was trying to get her attention for a drink.
I would have given at least 4 stars if not for this bartender. The other bartender that day (his name starts with M and he has a buzz cut) is awesome. Very fast, very friendly. The food is usually very good, and there’s usually some kind of beer special.

I have four stars due to the service. The bartender was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they did not have any hard cider and the wings were breaded. I am gluten free and ended up just grabbing a cocktail and leaving. I hope the owners see this post and add some gluten free options.

I usually LOVE coming here and Jerry’s. I came here for dinner with 3 other people and the bartender was our server. It wasn’t that busy yet she had no desire to check in with us, 15 minutes after we were done eating I had to physically bring my tables empty plates to the bar because she was too involved in a conversation to be bothered to even notice us sitting here ready for a check. Food and service is typically on point, but the extremely fake b*tch smile that came with a passive «thanks for coming» was really unneeded.

Stopped in for a meatball grinder and a couple cold ones. Food was above average, staff very friendly, accommodating and welcoming, and beer was cold and cheap! I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to get here, but if you’re looking for a friendly local place with good food and booze at very reasonable prices, this is it!

My husband and I have been long searching for a little sports bar/​hang out since we moved to Middletown. We have DEFINITELY found it!!! We have had exceptional service (Gina and Carissa are the BEST) and the wings are EXCELLENT. Matt (the owner) is always present and takes tremendous pride in his establishment. Lots of TVs to watch various games and entertaining bands with a variety of music. Great atmosphere, exceptional service and fantastic food… what more could you ask for!!!

Great little sports bar with great specials! How can you beat $ 2 beers and 40 cent wings?
Highly recommend the peanut butter and jelly wings, sounds weird but they are quite tasty! It is our mission to try all of the wing flavors. It’s a great local bar on the south side of town, where there are not as many bars and restaurants. Good place to watch sports or to grab a drink or a bite to eat.

A local dive bar that is pretty darn nice.
I’m happy I live about 300 yards from this place. They have TVs in every corner of the place. Great place to watch football. I am a home brewer so beer selection is very important to me. They have about 20 brews on tap and more in bottles. Good selection. Craft beers were $ 5 and Miller drafts were $ 2.
The place was packed with people. There was a good cover band playing. Unilocal hooked me up with a free domestic draft upon buying a slice of Pizza for $ 2.50. The pizza came from the Italian restaurant next door which has common ownership.
Plenty of parking and seating. Hooray, Middletown!

Sitting here at the end of the bar with Matty discussing his new venture and all appears well. Excellent selection of of on tap beers and the menu is Jerry’s classic Italian fare. Time for another IPA, the Giants game and a meatball grinder. Also happens to be closet bar to my house so looks like this stool should be engraved with my name.

This is a very solid bar. They have a ton of beers on tap, a great check-​in offer for those with the Unilocal app, and a partnership with Jerry’s pizza next door so you can get amazing food right there at the bar. The bartenders are friendly too. This would be a good place to watch a game
