Great pizza! Order pizza by the slice… Everyone can try their own and the slices are HUGE. We also got a chicken Cesar salad. The chicken was also great, but the dressing fell flat and they used the Parmesan cheese that they shake over pizza and it was gross. Would go again and just get pizza.

Our first visit was a success in every sense. The service was perfect, seating was comfortable and the food was delicious. I especially liked the Italian white wine list, which had superb prices. We enjoyed two apps, meatball sliders and caprese salad… both perfect. Chicken florentine and linguine with red clam sauce were both perfect. Very large dinner salads with incredible dinner rolls. Everything was priced so reasonably. I think what impressed me the most was how very very busy they were, but service was perfect and every employee was incredibly friendly and attentive. Sorry Ilianos you are stuck with us now, see you every Friday.

The Garlic Knots are amazing! Majority of the time I only get the Knots, sometimes 5 sometimes 10 it just depends on the day and if I’m in the mood for a super carb overload. Great place to stop for a slice of pizza and if your order is a little delayed they’ll help your stomach out with a little snack.

Great pizza and my hubby thinks it’s the best next to NY style pizza. I LOVE their eggplant. Great family atmosphere. Quick service! Definitely the type of place you keep coming back to.

I have been to Illiano’s 3 times so far. The food is great and the staff is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant to all who want a great experience. The carrot cake is out of this world!

Obsessed with the buffalo chicken pizza! Only pizza I ever order from here and there’s nothing better than getting to mini slice as a «snack»

This is a great place to not only get pizza but Italian food in general. If you’re hungry and craving Italian this is the place to be. Their buffalo chicken pizza is my favorite, it’s so tasty with just the right amount of cheese.

Illiano’s South Main St and their sister restaurant on Washington St are our go-to for pizza in Middletown. Lovely fresh Cobb salad. Awesome(tomato) sauce on pizza and served with calzones etc. And … they always give you snacky while you wait! Mmmm… And an added bonus is that they support Relay for Life and other community events. Always great to visit:-)

We’ve going here for many years, and the pizza has always been great. They have the standard cheese pizza, but they also have great specialty pizzas like baked potato or cheeseburger. The baked potato pizza has potato slices, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing. The cheeseburger pizza has ground beef, ketchup, and American/cheddar cheese(I forget since I haven’t had it in a while: D). They also have all sorts of other food like calzones, garlic knots, pasta, Italian ice and many other things that I’m probably forgetting. And the staff has always been very helpful and friendly.

Food is okay at best I just avoid buying slices because they sit out all day with no heat lamp or anything. Kinda concerning. Makes me wonder what other unhealthy or unsafe practices are going on here. Don’t get slices for your kids buy a whole pie if you insist on going here.

My husband and I are at Illiano’s at least once a week, whether for take-out or dine-in. It’s solid, Neapolitan and Sicilian style pizza with super fresh ingredients — you must try the Grandma’s, one of my favorites. Love the«snacks» when you sit down or pick up. Veal parm grinder is fabulous. The meatball sliders are little bites of heaven. Amazing buffalo wings, spinach wheel, margherita pizza with chicken… I could go on and on. THEBEST bleu cheese dressing on the planet — I usually get some with my pizza to dip the crust(try it, you’ll thank me). LOVE the friendly and attentive waitstaff — hi Amanda, Emily, et al! I love feeling like the staff is happy to see us when we come in. Two issues… salads could use some time in a salad spinner. The lettuce tends to be wet and waters down the dressing(and with bleu cheese like this, you don’t want to miss out!) Also, on two occasions now my husband and my mom picked up pizza, once for my classroom(I’m a local teacher) and once for home, and both times the person behind the counter was RUDE and dismissive, and the pizza was NOT up to snuff. The cheese was stuck to the top of the box, and when my mom asked to put more cheese on, the guy refused and told her«Sh*t happens, nothing we can do.» He then moved on seat a large party and ignored her at the counter. This was at about 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon, just FYI — not prime time. On another occasion(another Tuesday, this time about 8:00PM), the same guy behind the counter was very rude and the pizza was WAY overcooked. My whole thing is, Illiano’s is SO freaking delicious and so accommodating and friendly every other time we’re there, I just can’t figure out if Tuesday is a bad day or what. Minus those two weird experiences, and the salad, this would be a 5-star review. You can’t go wrong. When we move out of Middletown, I will make special trips back to this location :)

This is our go to pizza and grinder restaurant in town. We sometimes go to the Washington Street location when we want a casual meal with some slices(they have a better range of slices and a more casual setting), but the South Main location is our go to take out spot. Sometimes you’ll get a «pizza snack» to much on while you wait for your order, sometimes people around you get them and you don’t. Those are sad days. We also occasionally dine in here. The waitresses are always friendly, you get salad and enormous rolls with dinners, the food is fast and good. Sign up for Spot On and you’ll be able to earn a «spot» with every visit, regardless of what you spend. Once you get 8, you get $ 10 off, with 20 you get $ 20 off, and there are several other rewards in between(free soda, free cheese pizza, etc). I liked their old reward system Perka better, as it rewarded you based on what you spent. Since one visit for us is usually between $ 20 — $ 30, we got to rewards a lot quicker than we do with this system. But most restaurants don’t have anything, so we’re thankful that they give us something back! If you can manage to accumulate 15,000 spots, you can redeem for a 2014 Ferrari 458 Speciale. My only complaint would be inconsistency in the way things are cooked I often have to come home and finish cooking pizzas or grinders that are a little too light for me. I have the same problem at Jerry’s, so it’s just sort of something I’ve come to expect from pizza around here. Apparently when they’re busy, they take short cuts and it’s on me to finish the job for them. It still tastes good, just a slight annoyance that prevents me from rating with 5 stars.

This place rocks! I’ve been going to Illiano’s for something like 10 years now and they haven’t changed one bit(that’s a good thing). Back when I used to work around the corner, my job ordered something like 10 pizzas every other Friday. This is how I was introduced to them. I think that I’ve tried just about every pizza they offer. While they’re all pretty great in their own respect, the Buffalo Chicken is in a class of its own. I do pizza — pizza is my thing, and this place has thee best buffalo chicken pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve brought friends in to try it and everyone agrees; it is amazing. If you don’t try anything else, go with a slice of that. The service here is stellar. They even give everyone a «snack» slice of pizza while waiting at the table or for your takeout order. Never had a bad experience from any of the wait staff in all my years of coming and the consistency of the food is unreal. Never burnt, never undercooked… It’s like they clone pizzas rather than each one being it’s own entity. But they don’t because you can see them, every one of them, made in front of your eyes at the counter. I like that you can also get slices any time of day, even for all of the specialty pizzas. Some places do cheese and pepperoni slices around lunch and maybe a special of the day… Illiano’s has them all available in whole pies or sliced all day every day. I will say I’ve also had garlic knots, and although they are fresh, hot, and tasty, *warning* the garlic is strong with this one! Only garlic-lover need apply. They’ve got some decent Italian ice too. Overall, this is definitely one of the top places in CT for a slice of the good stuff!

An undeniably popular local Italian restaurant in Middletown, CT. Illiano’s is touted as a hometown favorite with strong involvement in the community, and that’s something to proud of. As for the food, we’ve tried them twice, takeout and delivery. The immediate obvious appeal is the vast and inexpensive menu, everything from pasta to chicken to pizza to grinders available for a reasonable price in large portions made with good ingredients. This will truly make the entire average family dinner out happy in some way. Unfortunately, as my scale has annoyingly consulted me, quality over quantity should be my focus; and as quality is concerned, Illiano’s isn’t up to snuff. The pizza was average fare, a well cooked slightly-airy NY style, eclipsed in freshness and creativity by a few notable pizza establishments in the surrounding area. The pasta was al dente but the sauce was watered down. There is no doubt Illiano’s will survive, but it’ll be hard pressed to prosper and progress in the area as there is no shortage of fresher, trendier, and creatively inclined Italian and pizza restaurants to contend with.

YUM!!! My boyfriend and I came in for lunch, and it was delicious. We started with free garlic knots for checking in. They were garlicky and delicious. We ordered the tortellini soup and the four seasons salad. Both tasted great, we weren’t a big fan of the candied walnuts, but they added a nice crunch and texture to the salad. They were just a little too sweet for my liking. But love the gorgonzola! Then came the pizza — tomato pesto. It was hot, quick and so delicious. I am normally not a big fan of white pizza but this is the exception. Tomatoes were juicy, pesto was tasty, the crust is perfect. The only reason why it’s 4 stars and not 5 is because the pizza is really greasy. I had to blot it several times. And because it’s a tad pricey but quality is there! The service was excellent. The waitress was very nice and efficient and I love the window where the food comes out. I have never seen that before. Overall it’s one of the best pizzas in the area!

Wow! What a great pizza place! Luckily it’s so nearby where I was staying that it was a less than 10 min drive there. We placed an order by phone and was able to promptly able to head over and pick our delicious meal up. Did you know that when you come to pick up your pizza you are automatically given a free sliver of pizza to try while you’re waiting? You never know what you’re going to get so be prepared to be surprised! And another tip, if you check in here through Unilocal, you get 6 free garlic knots!(well worth it!) So they have many different foods here including hot sandwiches which are big portions(easily 2 people can eat it if not more). Pizzas come in an assortment of flavors. Their gourmet section has a few pre-determined mix of flavors but if you are interested in topping your own pizza, then just say so. You can also mix your pizzas(½ and ½). I always order the white clam and pepperoni/sausage. The perfect mix of white and tomato sauce pizzas! You can dine in or take away. They also have pre made pizzas so that you can come in and just buy a slice to go. Quick service, great people and best of all, great food!
