Excellent. We had the best time because of our amazing waitress Maria C! She was completely awesome and went above and beyond. The food was fantastic and the sushi was SO fresh. Definitely one of the best of the best and(only) sushi restaurants/hibachi restaurants in the area! Definitely coming back!

I absolutely adore this place. The fried calamari is wonderful, very crispy and the dipping sauce is delicious. Hibachi is always cooked to perfection. They will accommodate gluten allergies. The sushi is DELICIOUS! The rainbow roll being my favorite. Hibachi cooks are very funny and personable. Service is great.

SPOILERALERT! I came here with my husband last year(Dec. 2015) around the holidays. We made a reservation for out group and were promptly seated upon arrival. The male waiter was great and funny. It was our children’s(3&5) first time, so they were super excited about the hibachi show! They loved the«sponge bob» the«volcano», and the«fire in the hat» tricks… there were many more but I wont mention them all. The salad came with a cool dressing– can’t remember the name though. The kids had honey shrimp which was delicious!!! the yum yum sauce was also a great add on to your food. We ordered the shu mai for appetizer which we devoured quickly! I wish we had more! 2nd time was ok… This time I wanted the honey shrimp from the children’s menu b/c I loved it so much when I tried it the last time. I was told it was only for the kids which is silly in my opinion… but because there were 6 of us at the grill and 3 were getting food from the hibachi she did it. 3rd time(February 2016) we went the waitress was a bit rude I hate to say… she kept calling me «sweety» as to cover up how crass she was to us. The salad this time around was very watery. The hibachi show this time around was VERY basic… the kids even asked for«sponge bob» and the fire in the hat trick and all he did was the volcano and the big fire on the grill– THATWASIT… they weren’t too pleased and neither were we… maybe he was new and didn’t learn the routines… yet at another table we saw the cook with fire tongs!!! If the 2nd and 3rd time was just as good as the first time, I would have given it 5 stars… Tip– Please include Honey shrimp on the adult menu…

I give this place a shot since it had mediocre reviews and I must say reviews don’t lie. First let’s start with the cook took him almost 45min from when we sat down to start. But he was very nice and very funny. The server was friendly up until dessert time. We brought our own cake for my husbands birthday; he couldn’t find the cake(and insists that there isn’t any cake) and when I decided to ask the girls in the front he says F***. Kindly I ask to the receptionist or hostess about the whereabouts of my cake and they both had this monotonous look on their face. Both uninterested and not concerned. On the food side of the spectrum it was literally OK. Smothered in butter and bland tasting. I wouldn’t come back and don’t have a surprise waiter made it extremely obvious.

Used to be my favorite hibachi spot. I came back today for the first time in months and a few things have changed. Soup is no longer included with the hibachi deal and is now an extra 50 cents charge. which I find ridiculous. 50 cents, really? Also, noodles used to be an additional $ 2 and are now $ 2.75. Really not a big change in prices but I know plenty of other places that include both noodles and soup and are still cheaper than the prices at Fuji. The yum yum sauce used to also be my favorite! But, now it doesn’t have that sweet kick it used to have. Everything else is still delicious! Just a bit disappointed compared to my passed experiences.

Always good to come here except the weekend service is kind of inattentive or short staffed wait to be served on longer than usual and my portions where very small I don’t complain unless I feel like I’m not getting what i said for

First time here and it was awesome! First of all, I would recommend getting a reservation or coming early before your ravenous. We came to eat right then but the hibachi grill seating was an hour wait. There are other seating options and at the time the sushi bar had no wait so we opted for that. The service was quick and the waitress was right on point with drinks and took care of us well. I was quite happy with my hot green tea which came in a large ceramic pot so refills aplenty. For the appetizer we got the calamari which was delicious and the breading wasn’t greasy at all and just crispy enough. I chose the salmon teriyaki and my husband chose the chicken teriyaki. Both came with and option of soup or salad and white or fried rice. The miso soup was quite good, not watery and not salty either. The salad was crunchy and fresh tasting. The only downside is the dressing was too watery and a tad over drenched but the dressing did taste good. My husband was very pleased about his chicken teriyaki and I will say the same bout my salmon teriyaki dish. The salmon was juicy and had a outer crispness that I liked. Usually I hate the smell or the strong taste of salmon but here it was not overpowering at all. I’m also really picky about my teriyaki sauce and I loved it here. The sauce was light in taste and just the right sweetness and the viscosity was on the lighter side which I so so love. Can’t wait to try the hibachi grill next time around.

Went Christmas Day to eat before seeing a movie. 2nd time there. It is NOT Japanese, but food is OK, not great, just OK. Chef can be entertaining, but if going often, it would get old real quick. Service was OK, but not as timely as it could have been. Waitress told us they were short staffed. Would go to other restaurants, if craving sushi. Miss the old Gasho of 25 years ago.

I have been here three times. Hold the«Yum-Yum» sauce… on everything. Salad appetizer has this sauce, which is heavy on mayonnaise, less on ginger, and watery. Lots of cheap lettuce and cabbage in the salad, no dark greens. Then there’s more Yum-Yum sauce on the hibachi rice, and encouragement to put more on the main course! Skip the sauce, it taints everything and disguises the food. The soup is no longer included as part of the appetizer, but is 50 cents extra. Not worth it. The soup is less miso and more a watery, salt and onion flavor. Blah. As for the hibachi, it is average. The«show«from the chef, is hokey, and even he seemed bored with the same routine. Prices are decent, lower than other hibachi places. Want cheaper hibachi? Come here, but just skip the Yum-Yum sauce, soup, and salad.

I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants but this one was great. Service was outstanding and the good was succulent. They were great with our three kids. Will be back!!!

I loved the shrimp tempura, and the Hibachi was good, but a little salty. Fun cooking show from the chef, my grandchildren enjoyed it.

What a joke. I’ve been to many Japanese houses like this that try to be Japanese but they’re not. they charge an enormous price tag for the hibachi grill experience but the can’t dress up a Mexican to look Japanese. Not to mention the fact that the food is terrible. which is really the most important part of the review. they salt the hell out of everything and season everything in grease and hibachi sauce so everything tastes the same. Do yourself a favor… completely avoid this place at all costs and take your money… your hard earned money and go to Gasho house restaurant in Rockland County New York. Although I haven’t been there in many years that’s a real hibachi experience. Or save all of your money and go to Japan. where you will definitely will get the real thing.

Can’t say enough about this place! Love the entertainment while watching our food cook and once the rice is put on our plates it’s no holds barred! Love that Yum-Yum sauce! Never have we been dissappointed when we eat here.

My family and I eat here at least once a month if not more. Food is always great and cooked right. Servers are always ontop of getting us refills or anything else we need. We never seem to wait long for a table. Mixed drinks are a bit strong for my liking because I don’t drink alcohol often. Otherwise great atmosphere and a great place to eat!

The only reason why I’m writing this review is that were still waiting for our 8:30 reservation to be seated. Apparently they gave our hibachi table away at 8:25… so yea one star since I can’t give any more without actually eating food.

Hibachi is amazing. the salad dressing is AMAZING. nice servers. though, im sad to say the sushi was HORRIBLE. it was falling apart, tasted bad, extremely thin. stick to the hibachi and the salad(with dressing) and this place is golden. wish i didn’t waste my time/money/calories on that sushi though.

While I have never been a fan of Japanese Restaurants because I usually come away hungry, I have to say that this place has changed my mind. Have been there numerous times and always come away full. The food is very good and fresh and the portions are generous. Never had a problem with waitstaff, always friendly and accommodating.

It was a very nice restaurant. I sat at the Hibachi grill and it was a cool show. I ordered a Bento Box, which was sort of cold when I received it. They kinda rushed the salad and soup, but the wait to sit was very fast. Downside is the price could be a little lower. High Price and not a lot of food. That and you will leave smelling like Chinese/Japanese Oil

Fuji is a real treat! Came here at 5pm for hibachi dinner and sushi and the place was decently packed for 5pm. The sushi rolls were beautiful and tasted very fresh. We all enjoyed the hibachi show. My scallops were delicious! Nicely browned, cooked properly… so good! I wish I had more room in my tummy to finish it all. Tried some of my husband’s filet mignon and it was so tender. So overall our dinner was pretty great. The staff was friendly and attentive. By the time we finished, the place was packed. I am very impressed with this establishment and would love to come back in the future.

I’ve been here a few dozen times and every time I think ehhh… the service is ok, food is ok, sushi is ok. Why does the soup resemble dirty water?! And the ginger salad dressing is runny and watery with little to no ginger flavor. It’s convenient because it’s in the mall but there are definitely better choices out there. I’m a glutton for punishment so clearly I’ll be back hoping they’ll do better.
