We used this venue for our wedding and could not have been happier. The site was beautiful and prepared exactly the way that we requested. When we wanted something that logistically just wouldn’t fit, Juanita offered helpful suggestions that made everythingflow perfectly and looked great. We got tons of compliments on the site! Also, she was extremely flexible and was able to calm lots of pre-wedding nerves by problem-solving issues quickly. Working with Juanitawasthe best experience wecould have asked forin a venue and the venue itself was gorgeous in all of our pictures.

You know you’re in Horse Country when you go the community center playground and observe au pairs pushing kids on the swings, while the kids’ mothers are swinging themselves. I was waiting to see if the nanny would have to give the mom a few pushes as well, but it never came to that.

The Middleburg Community Center was first conceived in 1946 and after a flurry of fund raising, construction commenced and the building was completed in 1948. The facility has hosted many activities over the years and is rented out for weddings, private parties, seminars, meetings, and more. In years past, I’ve spent part of a Sunday manning a booth at a particular show that is held every year in this building. It’s a neat building from a historical perspective — but it has one issue — the building does not do real well at cooling. When you pack a lot of people into an old building like this — all those folks sucking oxygen combined with the lack of air flow — really makes the place uncomfortable. It’s even worse — on a day like today — where you have a sudden warm snap!
