This food is so good! Had lunch there last week for the first time and had no expectations. The French dip sandwich was amazing! The roast beef is real and, I think, made in their kitchen! Not shaved or purchased from a restaurant food supplier — it was pink, tender and full of juice and flavor! The bread was fresh and the fries were excellent. This is comfort food! Can’t wait to go back for dinner!

Very vegan /​vegetarian friendly. :) I had a delicious portobella mushroom burger, hand-​cut fries, and a side of fried okra that was SO good. :)
The staff was so sweet and attentive and the chef even came out to check on us. First rate food and service (and in a really cute atmosphere)! :)

A group of seniors from Arbor Terrace of Herndon gathered for lunch in early December. It is a nice option just off the Main Street. They offered our van driver the luxury of parking right on the side of the building which was an unexpected perk. We loved that breakfast was available during the lunch hour. The pancakes were absolutely huge. The service was good and the food was fair. The biggest downfall was that the place was really cold. It finally warmed up as we were preparing to leave. Lunch on the deck in the warm weather is probably lovely.

This is a nice little family café in the very cozy town of middleburg. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The waitress was very nice and the chef comes out to talk and make sure you were happy with your meal.
I had a pimento burger and my wife had the Cuban Reuben. They were both good and what you would expect from a small café. I was happy to see that they served beer and wine with some really good local beers to choose from but was a little surprised that they didn’t have any wines from the local wine region.
I was a little bothered when I went to the restroom to wash my hands and realized that there was no soap (empty container)…a restaurant with no soap for employees to wash their hands is a little disturbing.

Awesome, Friendly and Professional! The omelet was huge and delicious. Bacon to perfection and coffee delicious. Prices are reasonable. Chef came out to greet Good Morning! Great neighborhood place!

Great place for breakfast with a standard diner menu and strong coffee to kick start your morning. I’m looking forward to trying their larger lunch menu but for now this café is a great reason to drive the back roads of Middleburg.

We went here for a lunch and found that it was very well staffed. Everyone was so friendly and courteous. The food was excellent although the presentation wasn’t great, this place deserves every star because Middleburg finally has a new restaurant that serves family friendly food.

Tried the breakfast Buffett this morning. The bacon and sausage gravy made the meal along with the delicious French toast.
This place is very reasonably priced especially for the Middleburg area.
Food taste great! Servers were very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be back!

What a great experience!
The breakfast buffet was exactly what we needed this morning, and a beautiful deck with 5 tables allowed us the space to stretch out and enjoy the wonderfully fresh brewed coffee.
Ample seating inside and OMG! (Wait for it!)
THE HOT MESS SALAD, believe me, you just have to go for this ‘one of a kind’ find!
Good luck to our new favorite place in Middleburg! I may just have to come back next weekend!
Ohhhh! And the biscuits and gravy were to die for! Best homemade gravy I’ve ever had, keep up the good work!

This is a new spot in Middleburg and it HITS THE SPOT! Clean as a whistle, bright and cheery with inside and outside tables, service was great, chef comes out and greets and asks everyone how the meal is — and the food is great. Fresh ingredients and for me at least, coming here will be a nice habit:). Middleburg needed this addition! Don’t miss.

My husband, my daughter, and I had lunch there. Such a cute, and welcoming place! I love the fact that they serve breakfast all day. Their breakfast menu is SO appetizing. My husband had a French Dip, I had a salad and my daughter had a cheeseburger. They were all great and very fresh. The French Fries were amazing! My only complaint is that they close at 3 pm. We will be back for sure, and often!

Wife and I had a pleasant lunch at Federal St Café. She pulled pork barbecue. Me a French Dip. My banquette was great. Wife loved the mustard based sauce. Her cole slaw was the stand out. Really great. Service was great. Chef Zen (?) came out and seemed to really value our feedback. Hope they get their beer and wine license soon so we will have another dinner option.

My wife took me and our two toddlers here last month based on a recommendation from friends. We realized they had just opened so weren’t sure what to expect.
Overall, we were very pleased with the service and all of our meals were delicious. The chef, Zan, even came out to check on everyone and was very friendly.
I highly recommend this location for breakfast or lunch!

First, I’d like to point out some of the good reviews I saw recently are gone.
My family and I have eaten at Federal Street on 4 – 5 occasions now and we haven’t be let down yet. The food is always amazing (get the egg rolls!!), the staff is pleasant, and Chef/​Owner Zan always comes to see how we enjoyed our food. It’s an extra treat when his wife, Ann is there on the weekends as she also comes and chats with us. One thing that we always appreciate is he always sends us fruits for our 1 year old, sometimes without us ordering it, immediately. We will definitely be going back many more times!

I am an out of town guest and heard such rave reviews about this new restaurant, I just had to try it! We New Englanders aren’t know for are warm and fuzzy charm, but I can’t stop gushing about the charm of this adorable café! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the warmest smile from the wait staff and seated immediately. There was so many wonderful selections on the menu I was truly stumped on what to order; and what to my surprise, but the owner Chef Zan came out from the kitchen to help me choose! The «hot mess» salad it was… but truth be told, I had more of my grand daughter’s burger than my salad. ;) Thanks Chef Zan, for the highlight of my trip down south… aside from seeing my granddaughter of course! WE WILL BE BACK!

I went to Federal Street Café last Friday with some friends and my daughter. First off, the place is cute as a button. I love how it tide in the, cuteness, of the town.
Our server was amazing. Very nice and made sure we had everything we needed right away. My daughter loved her. All the staff seemed very nice and welcoming.
Our food was AMAZING. I had a burger (sadly I can’t remember which, but they all sounded pretty good to me). My friend ordered delicious looking salads. They brought my daughter fruit even though I didn’t order it, which I thought was pretty awesome.
The Chef Zan came and asked how our meal was. He was incredibly nice to us and even chit chatted with my daughter to see what she thought of the place. It was a wonderful experience, and I can’t wait to go back!
