Decent Chicago Dog. We were disappointed with the chili cheese dog as the chili did not have much flavor and it was all around just okay. Friendly service. Small dining area but they also have a drive thru.

Super delicious bugers! I did the challenge burger and topped it off with fries. It was just a bit of heaven!!!

I found this place entirely by accident looking for a DQ Grill that wasn’t opened yet. I’m glad I found it because the staff was very friendly & I loved the Grateful Dead stickers on the windows & in the bathroom, made me feel right at home. Food was delicious and cost was very moderate.

Great food for a decent price! However expect to wait in a line if you go during lunch hour, it gets really busy and it is not a very big place.

Loved the chili dog. Really good. Wife had the pulled pork sandwich. Lots of meat and it looked really good. They have just about every type of dog you can imagine. Self-serve drink station. Small local joint that has good indoor and outdoor seating. Close to outlet malls and the art district. Try it. You’ll like it.

Single ladies go here at lunch! The men that were here for lunch on a weekday made me wish I was single for a moment. This is a crazy packed fast food typical hot dog place. The food is good! All of the dogs, polish sausage and cheese fries were amazing! I noticed people ordering beef and burgers too. The food comes up pretty quick and they even have a drive thru.

Best and cheapest place for REAL Chicago style hot dogs in Michigan City. The staff is also always very upbeat and nice to their customers.

We were not at all impressed with Top Dog. The chili sauce was flavorless and cold. The staff were not friendly and we did not feel welcome at all. We will not return.

Good burgers and good dogs. The fries are ok for me. Chicken noodle soup is pretty good a little heavy on the carrot taste at times for me though.

Vienna Beef. Thats the only good thing about this place. Come on they don’t steam their buns!

Been here a few times. Have only ordered the chicago style polish. Polish was average and the price was fair. The burgers will be next. They also have a burger challenge.

Stopped in to check out their burgers after hearing some good reviews. The hours were kind of odd, closing everyday at 4pm. I contemplated their Triple Burger Challenge, but decided to save that for another day(we hit Redamak’s about a half hour earlier). So, the double cheese(minus tomato) was my huckleberry. The meat hit the griddle just as soon as I muttered my order, and was ready to go only minutes later. $ 6 for a double cheese with fries and a drink; not bad. After diving in without restraint, I was met with instant gratification. No doubt a solid patty, cheese, and accoutrement. A bit puzzled with the neon green relish, more typically seen on your Chicago Dogs, but it didn’t kill the burger completely. A little heavy on the raw onion too, and not a big fan of the shredded lettuce. A solid burger(and fries) no doubt, just need to remember to ask for easy onions and 86 the relish next time. Oh, and CHALLENGEACCEPTED!!!

Hot dogs were good and so where the fries. Price is okay. Girl at the counter was friendly. There is no mustard on the tables!?! What’s up with that? A hot dog place with no mustard on the tables. Kitchen staff got real loud with their personal conversations which was annoying.

Great dogs and burgers. Little pricey but thats probably because they are so close to the lighthouse

I avoided this place for 20 years because I was mad that Fajita Grill had closed down. P. S. Anybody remember that place? Anyway, I sacked up and went to Top Dog for hot dogs a few months ago, and I have been back multiple times already. Properly dressed Vienna Beef dogs that aren’t expensive. Refillable Drinks. Well above average fries. Friendly service. Cool sports memorabilia. Top Dog, good job.

This is a great place to get a Chicago style hotdog in Indiana. I have had almost everything on the menu and most recently had the beef, hotdog and cheese fries(was very hungry). It’s super cheap and quick service. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good hotdog. One thing is they don’t ask if you’d like sweet peppers only hot and on the side, I’m sure you could ask, but interesting none the less. Go to Top Dog.

As the quality at Carlson’s takes a dive, Top Dog still impresses. Cheese fries, hot dogs, and polish sausages were all top quality. We ordered a side of baked beans which were tasty too. All you have to do is take your dog, cozy up in a booth with your friends and have the celebs on the wall watch you eat– that’s a great lunch.

If you want a Chicago dog, this is the place to go! It is the best hot dog stand in the region. The crinkle-cut fries are delicious, and the dogs are sooooo much better here than even in Chicago. Service is fast and friendly, and celebrity photos and autographs make the place fun. The only drawback is the small space for indoor seating. At least you can sit outside in the summer! If you’re just here to shop at the outlet mall, try Top Dog for lunch. It’s just a block away. You won’t be disappointed.

If you happen to go to Michigan City Indiana, probably for the outlet center as we do, then you have to try Top Dog! Its a small Hot Dog shack covered in celebrity and memorabilia photos celebrating its food and location. The Hot Dogs and burgers are wonderful and my favorites are the Chicago dog or the chili-cheese dogs. Top those off with fries or onion rings and your set to go shopping for the next few hours.
