Beware of the security guard here!!! My family and I had the most horrific experience at this mall. We were not here even 10 minutes when we had the craziest interaction with the security guard here. My daughter and I were standing at the directory in front of the Carters store and about 20 feet away the mall security is driving by on a Segway. My daughter(12 year old) makes the comment to me excitedly«oh look his car is like Paul Blart» to which I replied«oh yeah, Paul Blart Mall Cop». The security guard whips around real quick and drives right next to us and stops, and in a very aggressive and confrontational way says«WHATDIDYOUJUSTSAY, REPEATIT», so I did and told him how she loves that movie and I said oh yeah Paul Blart Mall Cop. He then aggressively said«if you’re going to be rude and insulting to me, you can get off my property». I was absolutely shocked and my 12 year old daughter was scared and nervous at this point. I tried to explain that we were not talking to or about him, and that he needed to relax if he hated his job that much. Again he told to just get out. I asked for his managers name, so he threw her card at me. I did go see Chris, and she was lovely, and that’s the only reason they’re getting the 2 stars.

My boyfriend enjoys this mall because he is very athletic and it has a ton of athletic stores. The shoe stores are a great option for me though. As for clothing stores for juniors/women. There are not a lot of options i dnt shop at any of the high end brand names or aero or hollister. Zumiez and pacsun and oldnavy and maurices are about it for me. the mall is big but not in a terrible way. They have restrooms and directorys all over. Also food cafes and lots of parking. Theres shade and seating and kiosks too.

I like the Lighthouse Place. I am not overwhelmed shopping there. Some outlet malls are crazy big and confusing. Lighthouse Place is outdoors and the layout is not a giant confusing maze designed to trap you for days until your money is all spent and I appreciate that. It is a good stop off point when driving from Chicago to a weekend in Michigan. Stores come and go, but my staples are The Gap, Coach, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren and Yankee Candle. I always seem to find deals at these stores. I just recently found the North Face outlet, and loaded up on $ 4.97 clearance winter gloves. Not a lot of food options at the mall, aside from the pretzel shop which has very tasty pretzels, but there are many options in Michigan City or nearby New Buffalo. I find the easiest parking near Coach and the Gap, but that is because I’d prefer to be away from the masses and do not mind walking a few extra steps to my destination.

MAKESURETOCHECKINWHENYOUGO! ***you get a coupon book***I go to this outlet almost every time I visit NWI. As big as it is I’ve come to realize that I only go to about 3 to 4 stores each time I go. Highlights for me are the following 1. Old Navy-This is always the first place i go. They normally have great deals and super cute clothes! 2. The kitchen store – i don’t know why but if I don’t go to the kitchen store before I leave its like I’ve missed out. 3. Columbia – my family thinks I have a problem with buying to many jackets lol and they might be right. I normally go/buy a jacket every time I go here. They are amazing!!! I can’t help myself :) There are a couple other stores I go to from time to time but those 3 are my top. I say all this to say that when I shop anywhere else it’s normally at H&M or Forever 21. I guess you can say I like to shop at inexpensive places. Lol The outlet does have a lot of name brand store such as coach, Michael Kors, Loft, Banana Republic, Vera Bradley, and so on and so forth. You should totally go and see what great deals you can find! Like I said I go every time I am in NWI and I’m NEVER disappointed in what I buy. Happy shopping! XO

This place has some awesome stores and has a benefit to being an outside shopping center. This place holds to offering some great deals and a variety of clothing outlets to choose from. During my visit here I went to Columbia, Calvin Klein, Le Creuset, Nike Outlet and a few others. The actual stores themselves are a bit small and hold only certain sizes and styles. My advice is to map out only the few places you wish to go to so you do not spend the whole day here. It is a nice stop to check and see if they have any deals to add to your collection. If you are in the area I would recommend giving this shopping place a peak.

Here is a great place to go shopping and eating. This«Shopping place» is outside, and the shops are inside. So if it’s cold, bring a coat or a jacket(and go to South Bend Chocolate Factory for hot cocoa). They do have play machines for young children around the place also a playground over near Gap, guess, and those other places. It’s like any other mall. Except, it’s outside! «I like this place to go shopping. But, the parking lot gets filled up at 12:00!»

This is a good place to go and buy cheap clothe and gift. The store where you can find a lot of good price are Calvin Klein, Aldo, Polo and Keneth Cole. There also are some place where you can eat like subway and other restaurants.

A comprehensive collection of fashion brands to choose from. I visited here in winter so could not visit the Indiana Dunes national park but this can be a nice vacation place in summer or fall. We got some good shopping done here. Unilocal check-in provided us with discount coupons to all stores which was very helpful.

This is the big Outlet Mall in Michigan City. There are some great deals here, but it’s a big piece of real estate, and be prepared to walk, drive, or otherwise know where you’re going. My advice is to look at the directory first and map out your plans. My visits so far has included Bose, North Face, Pendleton, and Columbia. And always remember, that just because you’re here doesn’t mean that you can’t sometimes get it cheaper somewhere else.

In my opinion this mall is part of the tourist attractions in Michigan City, along w/Blue Chip facility’s… It’s a nice short hop from Chicago and surrounding areas for a quick wknd away… Mall is nice for what it is… had some killer sales for Xmas 2015… nice mix of stores. Clark shoes. Polo. Nike Brooks bros. Anne Klein etc… If you have a fun car its a great summer wknd run from the city

Love finding good deals from name brand stores so when I was told about this place I had to see for myself. I left with more than I expected. Wonder what deals I’ll be able to find during the holidays. I only gave it 4 stars because the lack of food choices are really bad, as in slim to none. How do they shop outside during the cold weather without at least a cup of joe?

Love this place! Tons of name brands to choose from. Go during the week for less crowds. My faves are DKNY, Gap, old navy, Columbia… always great deals and get a coupon book at the visitor center for even more savings.

Back in the 1970s and 1980s, outlets were few and far between. The ones I remember were in old abandoned factories or maybe attached to the place where they made the stuff. And the items they sold were usually seconds and really cheap. Since the 1990s, outlets really aren’t outlets anymore. Outlets are everywhere now. But the thing is they don’t sell seconds anymore. They also aren’t really cheap either. And the same 40 stores are in every outlet center. This place has those same 40 outlet stores that every other outlet center has. There was nothing really original going on here.

I don’t live near this outlet mall but I have stopped a few times when I’m in the area. They offer plenty of parking around the shopping area. There are a variety of stores. Although some stores have sales and major discounts… not all stores have the outlet prices. It is worth checking out but I don’t think it is worth a special trip to look for something specific.

As someone who has been to many outlets around the country, the lighthouse in Michigan city is one of the best due to the low Indiana sales taxes and their mix of stores. For the most part this outlet will have the basic stores that you would find in a regular mall with some stand out specialty stores. Of course they have the big name major American designers like Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Kenneth Cole. They also have leather goods places like Coach, Wilson’s and puma. They even have a le creuset which, in my view, is a key store to have in the best outlet malls. All in all, it is a great outdoor outlet mall, especially when the weather is good. There are only two things that prevent this from being a five star review. First, it seems like the restrooms are few and far between. Unlike other outlet malls where it may seem that you can see a bathroom sign from any vantage point, you have to do some hunting and walking to find the bathrooms. Second, the lighthouse mall and area around it don’t seem to have easy walkable access to eateries. There is a Subway and a little basic café on the lighthouse grounds, but they seem to be jam packed because there are not enough restaurants at the actual outlet. If you make a day of it and want to eat too, it may be best to find a restaurant in the area near Marquette mall where there is a commercial strip of chain stores and restaurants. This outlet has clothing for everyone in the family, they have jewelry and accessory stores, they have specialty stores like Bose

Nice outside outlet mall. Lots of shops to explore and you can really get some good deals here. Pretty walk on wide sidewalks from store to store. Bathrooms can be hard to find, but they are there. The parking lot(or lots) is weird.
