The primary reason we picked this hotel was that it is Pet Friendly. Despite one crotchety old man who didn’t seem to like this fact and made sure I overheard his complaints about that«Damn Dog» as I walked by with my «Damn Dog» the location was Pet Friendly. My only two complaints were, an INCREDIBLYLOUD Fridge. Every time the compressor kicked on it made a loud barking sound that would likely wake the dead. For the sake of all humankind, please replace the fridge in room 132. My second complaint is that the faucet in the tub seems to only move one direction, and then alternates from«kinda hot» to «HOT» to «a cold trickle.» In any case, I’d stay here again. It isn’t the Ritz Carlton, but for such close proximity to I-75AND Pet Friendly, it’s a good choice. (There is a nearby Original Pancake House I recommend if you decide not to partake in the Continental Breakfast)

Very clean and comfortable room. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. I would recommend this place. We felt safe here.

This place has some of the WORST customer service I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Our room, was decent enough, for the price. That was until we turned on the AC. Within 2 hours the carpet was soaked in about a 4 foot radius around it. Then, a wonderful moldy smell began to linger in the air. It was, of course, coming from the carpet. We thought we’d be nice and move the chair and ottoman do that it wouldn’t get wetter than it already was. Big mistake. In the indentation where it sat, were 4 big squares of black mold. We call down to the front desk to switch rooms, but of course there is a soccer tourney in town and no rooms are available at the inn. The solution…“lay down towels and we will try and move you tomorrow”. Oh, and we got a whopping 10% discount for that night. We still had the following night to worry about. The nice lady on the phone said to ask for a manager the next morning and they will take care of us. Boy did they. I went down to «take care of things» and was met with nothing more than disdain and apathy. The man at the desk acted as though as was a nuisance and had better things to do than help. When I asked the OUTRAGEOUS question of, «you think we could get a room upgrade for the inconvenience?» I was met with a look like I had just stepped off the mothership. «A manager will be here tomorrow.» Well that’s helpful. I immediately left the front desk, returned to my petri dish with pillows and told my wife we were checking out. I will NEVER stay at another Quality Inns and Suites. I am a medical sales rep who travels quite often and have a lot of clients who travel as well. I will make it my mission to make sure they do not stay at one either.

Lack of Quality Inn: I will not stay here EVER again. The«pet friendly» policy aka dog policy very much depends on if you get a nice night manager or the forever-alone-cat-lady daytime manager. We checked in at 2am and we had a reservation. I stated that we had 2 dogs(19 pounds and 9 pounds). Night manager was super nice and even pet the dogs and put us on the 3rd floor. Next day my son and I walked the dogs and as we’re coming back through the lobby the daytime manager states«May I help you?» as if I’m some sort of an intruder. I said«no, I’m staying here» and kept walking. DM: «What room?» ME: «346» DM: «That’s not a pet room. You can’t have dogs in that room!» ME: «That was the room we were given early in the morning, and also there are ash trays in the room which states it’s a non-smoking room, but there it is». Then she made up some story about the smoking in a non-smoking room which really sucks to a non-smoker, and went on about how people are so allergic to dogs and would freak out if they learned that dogs had stayed in a non-pet room. OMG lady. So we switched rooms down to the first floor. Now instead of the room smelling like smoke it smells like cat pee/wet dog near the sink area, but I’m told it’s a full hotel due to a convention for amateur radio. Ugh. While switching rooms I notice that maid that we saw upstairs is now downstairs and allowing another woman who I thought was just another guest to load up her giant purse with amenities from the maid’s cart. I wouldn’t have even noticed, but I heard them speaking Russian. What are the odds I also speak Russian. Meanwhile, I find out that the original room we were issued has now been given to another guest with a small dog. Wow, Quality Inn management, seems like you have other issues like employee theft, inconsistent communications with customers and overall lack of customer service, which are far worse than my 2 little dogs.
