Vesuvio Pizza & Panini

Grabbed a quick lunch to go. One Philly cheesesteak and two slices one anchovies and one bacon.
The Philly cheesesteak was delicious. Steak, mushrooms, peppers and cheese all in a nicely toasted bread.
The slices were very tasty as well. The crust was chewy and crisp.

I’ve been coming here for about two years (up to three times weekly… I know the addiction is real) and this is my Favorite pizza joint in Miami! They have and amazing owner in Albin. He’s an avid golfer and you’ll realize that as soon as you walk into his restaurant and see his business filled with some funny golf signs. He really has created an Awesome Team that delivers some Amazing pizza/​dishes, exceptional customer service and family atmosphere that keeps me coming back.
I genuinely Love seeing local businesses Succeed…
Vesuvios has the Best Pizza in Miami… Hands Down! The cheese, sauce and dough are made right in front of you so there’s no denying their commitment to Excellence. Thanks for all that you do guys! Our Kendall community is lucky to have you in our backyard.
One last thing… I’m from Jersey and although the pizza in NJ/​NYC have some solid establishments… I find myself Craving Vesuvios every time I’m up there. Kudos to Vesuvios!

The delivery is fast. Pizza was yummy but kind of small for a large. Extra cheese didn’t look like the one in the picture. Tomato sauce was good. Crust was okay. Wouldn’t be a first choice but would call them again. Maybe my pizza choice wasn’t the best.

Vesuvios is a pizza place that really tastes fresh, everything tasted original and fresh, the service was unbeatable and is friendly, I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and chicken, but there wasn’t enough pepperoni on it and the place was one of those pizza places with limited indoor seating, my father who really doesn’t like any drinks with sugar, was very thirsty, but they only had soda and juice, no water, and the pizza was very messy at first, the cheese falling off instantly on only the first slice, and the place is located near the back of the plaza, it was impossible to find it! 4 stars since the pizza tasted great and the customer service, definitely coming back in the future!

Best pizza ever. I drive from downtown to kendall for a slice of heaven. The ingredients are fresh. Everything made from scratch. This is a neighbor gem. In the same mall as Baptist outpatient tucked around the corner closest to Carvel.

Just about the very best pizza to be had locally even for delivery, never disappointed!

Outstanding pizza. I moved to Kendall 2 years ago and my wife (who’s from Brooklyn) introduced me to this place. I honestly didn’t think I could find pizza this good in Kendall.

I go from pizza place to pizza place because I love pizza so much! Every pizza place I go to I always end up comparing to Vesuvios. The ingredients they use are top notch and the quality stands out. It’s not a fancy place but if you want good pizza, philly’s, steak and cheese calzones, lasagna, baked ziti… please try this place!
They don’t disappoint. I have yet to eat something they make that I don’t like.

To begin i am not a new yorker but i can appreciate a good pie. Ive been looking for places other than the ones i know to compare as well as to have variety. This place tops them all, i had the sausage and bacon pie, first pizza ive had where you can taste all the ingredients and they dont over power eachother. Cant say enough about it, best pizza ive had hands down!!!

First time here after reading Unilocal reviews. As a native New Yorker I am very critical of pizza. In fact my husband and I have gone to numerous pizza joints looking for that perfect taste of home. Although we live south of Country Walk, we will go the distance if the pizza is good. There are maybe two spots that we have considered pretty good in South Florida. One being Two Brothers. We decided to give this place a try last night. We were certainty not disappointed. The service was good and the pizza was pretty close to home. The pizza was thin with a nice crust. The sauce was also nice and sweet. My husband who loves pizza more than I do actually said that it was better than Two brothers where we have been going to for years. It looks like we will now start coming to this little hidden gem.

The crust was the first bite… that almost never happens. I’m a pepperoni lover and today I tried their version of Hawaiian pizza and I’m so glad I did! After three slices from a small 12″ pie you’d think that you would feel heavy or guilty but it’s so very far from the truth. The combination of the crunchy dough and freshly prepared tomato sauce that tastes like it didn’t come out of a can is so incredibly delicious that I’ll be happy with just those two ingredients. You can imagine what adding cheese, pineapple slices, onions and bacon will do to your mouth! Pizza Johnys and Mike’s will be taking second place tonight folks. Vesuvio you are my pizza hero!

Heard of this place from a friend from back home in Jersey. I took the suggestion and ordered a pie to go. By the time i got home with the pie it was perfect. Excellent thin crust that doesn’t fall apart, the sauce well balanced and the cheese is perfect. My new favorite place in Miami for homestyle NY/​NJ Style pizza… Check it out.

Tried this placed based on the reviews and wanting to try a new pizza place. Ordered the family special which brings a large pie, garlic rolls and a 2 liter bottle of our choice of soda for $ 18.95.
Went to pick it up, being that it was my first time there, I was surprised to see that it really isn’t a restaurant where you can eat in. Yes, they have a a few tables outside for sitting but I think it’s better suited for pick up or delivery.
I was disappointed that for a family special there were only half a dozen garlic rolls as opposed to other places such as Marinos or Mama Mia’s family specials which include a dozen in their family specials.
The pizza was ok. My husband and sons like it.
Not sure if I will order again. I hate to give this type of reviews but I have to be honest. As always we all have different likes and dislikes and this place just wasn’t what I expected.

Very authentic style. Huge portions. The guys accent makes it very authentic as well.

I grew up in Queens, NY and I haven’t had pizza like this since 1997 when I moved to Miami. I’ve gone back to NY and the pizza isn’t the same as it used to be in the 90’s. Vesuvios Pizza is THE place to go for authentic New York Style pizza. My friends from Queens have to fly to Kendall and go to Vesuvious to eat the best New York Pizza.
Please note that pizza like this is best when eating it at the location. You’ll never find a pizza parlor in my neighborhood in Queens that will deliver and there is a reason for it. Get your asses out of the couch and drive to this 11^th wonder of the world.

The pizza here is great they offer a delicious crust and even better sauce and cheese.
The toppings they use are fresh and very tasty too.
Ok now let’s get down to business with this pink sauce they make. OMG this sauce will blow you away!
Have it on bake zitti, or on your favorite pasta I have it on lasagna cause I’m like Garfield obsessed with lasagna. When I have their lasagna with pink sauce its like it competes with the top Italian restaurants in the city! (Yes, its that good.)

Some other favorites are the vesuvio sub and their garlic rolls.

First off, either the place has renovated, or the reviews exaggerated, but the place is not dumpy, and most certainly not near a dumpster. There are a few tables and picnic benches outside for bigger groups, facing a residential side street, and counter seats with a couple of small tables inside. No linen and silverware but it’s clean and comfortable enough to sit down and enjoy your meal. We were hesitate in trying this based on the comments, so I just want to set the record straight. This place is at the west end of the plaza, near McD and behind Carvel. You can park in the back lot near the tire shop.
We had the white pizza with garlic sauce, basil and mozz. The pizza has a nicely crisped thin crust, generous heap of stringy cheese, and aromatic fresh herbs. Very good pie indeed.
While we ate our pizza a stream of people came in and out for take out. The staff are very friendly, asking after a customer they haven’t seen for a while, pleasantly chatting with another. When we left, they asked how our pizza was and seemed genuinely caring that we had a good experience.

They’ve got Gorgonzola so I can order my Pepperoni and Gorgonzola pizza!
Delivery took an 1 hour exactly on a Thursday night. but it was still hot! (Marinos takes 25 minutes for me) but I’ll see how it goes next time. But Marinos doesnt have Gorgonzola and they are more expensive. Ha!
Oh yea… Garlic Bread with Cheese ($ 4) is DELICIOUS. Its a hoagie type bread split in half. Next time Ill order 2… or 3. Garlic BREAD WITH CHEESE. Do it.
