The Wind Condominium

I stayed a couple days at a friend’s apartment.
It is from far the WORST VALET SERVICE I have ever experienced! You have to pay everytime you get out, cash only… so if you don’t have cash you’ll have to go to the atm and pay the extra fees.
Nobody helped with the suitcases. More than that, when I arrived and told them I needed help with my suitcases, they sent me to get a cart and parked the car in the mean time… when I came back i had to find my car in the parking and unload my luggage Alone, plus the guy would not leave me my keys when I was unloading. Better than that… they brought me the wrong car and just handed me the keys… Awful job
The apartment was NOISY. You hear the noises from the i95, the metro mover and even the planes. And there is a sewer smell that is super gross!

I lived here for 2 years. The security and staff are very friendly. The building is beautiful and very well appointed, maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. The gym is state of the art and includes a racquet ball court and spa-​like men’s and women’s locker rooms. The pool deck is very swanky with beautiful views of Brickell. The tenants are quiet but not very cordial (typical self absorbed Miamians).

This condo’s floor plans aren’t the best, unless you’re choosing the top of the line, maximum square footage option. It’s true, they minimize functionality and are over-​priced for the amount of space given. HOA fees are high. It doesn’t matter to an owner whether it not this is validated by the fact that they have a lot of units in foreclosure (or simply never sold like the rest of the new buildings east of 95). It’s simply very pricey, even given their wonderful amenities.
FYI: dogs aren’t allowed to be taken through the main lobby, even if you carry them in your arms and don’t let them touch the floors. This is a new rule as of February 2012. You’re forced to come in and out of the building with your pup through the back, delivery, messy, construction entrance/​exit, so don’t forget your fobs or you’ll be stuck outside!

Overall a decent apartment complex in the south downtown/​miami river area

* Classy pool area with spectacular views of Brickell
* Modern gym and fitness areas
* Great city views from condos
* Up and coming surrounding area
Cons:
* Bedrooms are tiny for the price
* Apartment shape minimizes functional space
* Guests must valet their car to visit
* HOA fees were high at the time
