Service slow and awful. Food came except one dish a pizza, server said kitchen ran out of dough but they can make a flatbread and do we want. Told us when they brought our food, why didn’t tell us way earlier??? And served said should I bring back rest of food to wait… Uh why so it can be served cold! And kicker the food was cold! Awful customer service and knowledge!

Girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. Very romantic and very delicious food and great service. She made reservations. Where we sat made me feel like we were in Italy. The music was beautiful and the lighting was perfect. Definitely coming again.

I’ve been driving past this place for years and finally stopped in. The ceviche appetizer was very good. The roasted half chicken entreé was good and the matzo ball soup was just OK. However, the dessert was awesome! It was the best bread pudding I’ve ever had. It was also huge! Definitely enough for at least two people. Our server was attentive and very friendly.

Went here on a Friday night at 7:30p. Crowded but no wait so we were seated promptly. We decided to start with the baked Brie appetizer. It’s was delicious! Creamy cheese with a delicious honey and fruit topping. The bread it is served with is perfectly baked. If you order this, I recommend asking them for a new fork and knife for your dinner. The cheese and honey clings to the utensils and ruined my first bite of dinner, then I had to wait to get new utensils. And the dinner was to good to be ruined! Half chicken with potatoes and carrots. The chicken was roasted beautifully with a nice crisp skin. The potatoes were a little bland on own, but the gravy made them great. Dessert was chocolate raspberry mousse cake. Very tasty. Live music started at nine and was perfect background. The singer had a beautiful voice and the band was loud enough to enjoy but quite enough to still have conversations. If come on a date, ask for the covered walkway. Very romantic!

Nice place, romantic and elegant with live music… Atmosphere is great and the menu is simple. The only reason that I put 4 stars if for the prices that are a little bit over the average of the restaurants in that location.

Perfect, from approaching to leaving! Starting with the valet to the hostess… and the ambiance to the fresh and perfectly cooked salmon atop spinach, mushrooms and jasmine rice, the experience was PERFECT. MY friend had the thin, crisp yet tender crusted pizza… also prepared to perfection(I will go back for that PIZZA). Then came the New York style cheesecake! Really, I know NY cheesecake and they nailed it.

If the service wasn’t so horrifying it would have been 5 stars. Aloof hostess, inattentive waiter and lazy valet. 3 out of 4 entrees were fantastic. Skip the salmon.

I’ve been visiting Soyka since its inception in 1999. Always a pleasure to visit. Last night I went with 3 others and a dog, so we sat comfortably outside. To start? Ask for Jess to be your server… Great personality, expert knowledge and he knew exactly how to read the table. As much as I appreciate good service with a smile, I’ve learned to appreciate honest servers even more. Don’t misunderstand this; he did not paint any menu items negatively, but he smoothly led us to a different menu option. That is an art, and we all appreciated his smoothness. We all enjoyed our meals, 2 burgers perfectly cooked, a veggie burger and the Margherita pizza was excellent. DESSERT? Banana Cake Supreme… round banana cakes smothered with peanut butter cream cheese icing, banana flambé and vanilla ice cream. YES, as good as it sounds…

The food is so good!(5 stars!) We got the fried brussels sprouts, burger, and porcini mushroom ravioli. It was all delicious and filling and beautifully presented. The brussels sprouts have a surprise sweetness that gives it extra oomph. The ravioli are large and served with a creamy but not heavy sauce. The service, however, could’ve been better.(minus 2 stars) We parked right in front but was accosted by the valet requiring payment(but we PARKEDOUROWNCAR). Whatever. Our waiter was pushy and seemed rather flustered with our large party. My friend had called beforehand to confirm we can split checks and reiterated our intentions before we began to order. He acutely refused but then later worked it out, with obvious chagrin. Not sure if we’ll be back. Do they offer take out?

Very nice atmosphere with soft Jaz music playing. Went on a Friday night, hoping for live Jaz band as advertised elsewhere. Didn’t see one, but still enjoyed ourselves. For the most part this is a nicer restaurant, where majority of guests dress up. Business casual. Ordered the salmon penne, was ok. Definitely had good flavor of the fresh basil but the pink vodka sauce was a bit lacking in flavor. Salmon is segmented in pieces and incorporated into the pasta mixed. Would have preferred a grilled or pan seared seasoned filet to sit on top but whatever. My friend ordered the meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Turkey based, moist, and was told very good flavor. I tried a bit of the mashed potatoes, which the waiter swore by were amazing. They were good, but not out of this world. My 7 yr old was able to get a good sized burger off the kid’s menu for $ 8. Very thick on the meat, impressive even as an adult burger. Was served with sweet potato fries. Service was excellent. Our waiter Salim was very attentive and anticipated needs before we noticed. Very friendly, never ran out of fresh bread or drinks. Overall this was a great restaurant find. Food wasn’t as wonderful as I would have hoped but then again I only tried the one dish. Would probably stop by again.

Enjoyed the Valentine prefixed menu. Disappointed they weren’t serving there regular menu though. They have delicious bread, the spinach dip was very good. And the huuugggeee tomahawk steak we had was very good and very well cooked. Not too crazy about the brownie and ice cream dessert. Salads are whatever. Favorite part of it all the décor. They have life jazz Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday’s for brunch.

Soyka, we are more acquaintances than friends. I visit you only if a close(and I mean close) friend of mine wants to see you. Other than that, I don’t fucks with you. You may be wondering why we haven’t been able to break the acquaintance barrier. It all boils down to your menu and, ultimately, your food. There is nothing inspiring about the food or the taste. Snoopy knows I’ve tried to like you because my mom loves you but I can’t. If I ask you for a kir royale, you make it with warm champagne and too much crème de cassis. If I ask you for eggs benedict, you give me stiff poached eggs. If I ask your for a chicken sandwich, you give me some chicken but then smother it with cheese. What’s up with you? Maybe it’s not you. Maybe it’s me. Either way, I know that we are not meant to be.

Nice atmosphere with live music(check schedule for days on the restaurant website). Amazing tuna tartar(I order it everywhere and judge the restaurant on how they serve tuna tartar). Liked ceviche also. Good place!

Came to Soyka for the second time this past Sunday. First time was for a bridal shower, this time was for a baby shower. Let’s start with the décor — it’s beautiful! Very vintage looking — a perfect space for an event because you don’t have to do much to it. The private room is a nice size — comfortably fits 30 – 40 people if not more. Also, it has a private bathroom, which is convenient. We had a limited menu — eggs Benedict, California omelet, or French toast with scrambled eggs. I went with the French toast, which came with scrambled eggs and either bacon or sausage. My meal was delicious and the portion was large. I ended up leaving the second slice of the French toast. The food took longer than expected to arrive. I also noticed that after my table finished eating, people were still receiving their plates. A little disappointing since we weren’t a huge party. Service was okay at best. There were two waiters for the private party. They didn’t come around enough to refill the beverages. I would love to try this spot for a date night or maybe with the family. Gonna give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re better with smaller parties. Definitely worth a shot.

Great space with good music, good food. The décor is amazing. Met friends for drinks on Labor Day Weekend and close to closing so the place was not as jumping as times that I have been there before. Wine as good and bartender super nice and friendly even if service was a bit too slow considering we were basically the only people in the place. If you are in the area this place is definitely worth checking out.

The atmosphere here is incredible! They have a beautiful intimate alley with lots of plants and it’s really an awesome setup. I would recommend sitting outside if you can! During happy hour, they have half off their cocktails, wine and beer. I tried the specialty lemon and ginger drink, it was incredibly delicious! We started with the calamari, and it was a huge portion and very crispy. Lots of sauce too, they don’t skimp you. For dinner we split the hangover burger, spinach salad and Mac and cheese. Everything is served in super large portions. Everything! Even the sides. My only complaint was that the burger was over cooked, but everything tasted delicious. The ambiance was so good I’m willing to overlook it and would come back again! Also, our service was really good :)

I recently ate at Soyka for the first time and immediately the experience did not feel like I was in a typical Miami restaurant, which is a good thing in my opinion! My friend and I were able to sit in the outdoor hallway area, which was a fantastic location. Not only does it stay cooler because of the cross breeze, it also feels like you are in a little European café. When we were seated, we were immediately checked on by the waitress for drink orders. I ordered the Lemon Ginger Punch, which included vodka, lemon, ginger, sage, and ginger beer. The combination of the ingredients worked really well with a bit of a zing from the ginger. Once we received our drinks we then ordered our lunch entrees. I had a difficult time ordering because there were a few different things I wanted to try. Finally I decided on the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich had fresh horseradish, which definitely had a kick. The only thing slightly disappointing with the sandwich was the bread, which I personally thought was a bit dry. Other than that, the sandwich was very good. I then had the sweet potato fries on the side. The service was excellent and attentive throughout the entire meal. We were checked on by the waitress during lunch, who also brought refills of bread to the table without any issue. I noticed both the restaurant and bathrooms felt very clean. Overall I was impressed with the meal and the experience.

Great service, decent meal, great dessert, boring ambiance. The edamame with the ginger soy dipping sauce was tasty. I had the snapper which I didn’t care for at all, the only flavor in the fish and vegetables was butter; I ordered the half portion and couldn’t even finish it. My friend ordered the pasta with pear and ricotta and it was great. We had the bread budding for dessert which was amazing. They had live jazz, but overall the décor mixed with jazz was a bit drab for me, especially being near news lounge and andiamos, it just didn’t seem to fit in.

Been wanting to check this place out for some time. First let me say I am in love with the Mimo neighborhood. The little tree lined stretch around Soyka is so appealing it makes you want to keep revisiting the area. Soyka menu is mostly fusion takes on comfort food with a touch of old school jewish flavors like the food my grandma used to make. Deviled eggs with smoked salmon and dill took me back to my childhood. But it’s not all nostalgia, great salads, delicious and innovative seafood dishes and a limited but well curated wine list, keep it edgy. The food was delicious, service spectacular and there is live jazz during the week. We were concerned with the small wine list but we found a very rare argentine Malbec that no one else carries. We are wine collectors ourselves so whomever put the wine list together knows what they are doing. We loved the cozy outdoor patio and the lounge seating with cool butterfly chairs on the front stoop. All in all classy place with detailed attention to service and an impeccable menu that we will return to. Did I say how much I love this neighborhood?

I had Soyka bookmarked because they have the most romantic seating and really wanted to pretend I wasn’t a broke college student but flew to Italy for lunch with my boyfriend instead. Forget my boyfriend, forget the seating, give me all the Fiocchi Alle Pere. Located in Little Haiti I was glad they have their own free parking lot. I went on a Saturday around 4 o’clock which seemed like a great time to go since the restaurant only had about four other parties. The tables in the European alley only fit two due to a fire hazard! I went with a party of 3 so my dreams were crushed. I ordered an Island Lychee cocktail($ 13) to mend my broken heart… If you close your eyes it takes off your clothes and puts you on a beach in the Caribbean. It has vodka, Malibu rum, lychee purée, and it’s topped with champagne. It’s spectacular. We skipped the starters and went straight into the entrees. The Fiocchi Alle Pere has pear, ricotta, and parmesan cream. Every bite I tried explaining what was happening in my mouth but all I really saw were fireworks. The next day I told my friend I was still thinking about it and she told me she dreamed of it. That’s the type of meal I love. See you soon Soyka!
