Love those Colombian empanadas and pan de bono. Their Colombian breakfast is also delicious and the service from the two lovely ladies that are there — is the best. Nothing like going into a restaurant and being greeted with a smile and when the food is great, you have a win win situation. Keep it up Q’hubo Café!

Great food at a good price. It does lean towards Colombian food and I absolutely don’t have a problem with that.

The patacon con todo is perfection, just like it is made in Cartagena. Their customer service is amazing. I have been a client here ever since it opened and I keep on coming back. If you don’t like something, they’ll send it back. Love it! Best Colombian restaurant in Kendall. I highly recommend it.

I was really looking forward to a Venezuelan arepa. They gave me something that looked like an arepa but was not what I am used to getting. Kinda on the flat side, soggy and burnt in spots. It was filled with carne mechada(shredded beef). the beef was tasty. I also ordered a colombian empanada that was soggy as well and cold.

Neutral rating — only had one thing here. This Colombian-Venezuelan was packed with school kids when school was let out. So popular that I was curious about this place in Kendall’s Hammocks area. Pretty large menu for a small place, with pabellon, bandeja paisa, hamburgers, hot dogs, patacones, mondongo, arepas, etc. They also have Venezuelan empanadas($ 2) and Colombian empanadas($ 1.25). $ 6 weekday lunch specials. I suspect one of the reasons for its popularity is also the low prices. PROS: + low prices + large menu covering Colombia & Venezuela + frozen items for purchase available + open late during weekends(2AM Friday & Saturday, pretty good for the area!) + open early(6AM everyday except 7AM on Sundays) + weekend sancocho soup specials(de costilla(beef) on Saturday & de gallina(hen/chicken) on Sundays) CONS: — tequeños doesn’t seem to be the way I like them — caribañolas were just eh(they’re Colombian yucas rellenas, I think?)
