Talk about satisfying a late night craving for Popeye’s. No matter which Popeye’s I have been to around Our Country, you have never let me down. This restaurant would be one of two Popeye’s closest to Hialeah. Literally, take NW103rd Street/West 49th Street heading west, go over the bridge, and it will be on the left hand side on the intersection of NW17th Avenue. You can’t miss it. If this wasn’t one of the first to open in Miami, it’s close to being the first. It has been here for as long as I can remember. This isn’t your typical modern Popeye’s that have been popping-up in recent years. It has a drive-thru and a walk-up window, that’s it. They have two small concrete patio tables outside, that’s it. I frequent this restaurant quite a bit. I just didn’t have Unilocal before to let everyone know where I was. What happened was, I drove by here the other day on route to Hialeah and saw their banner for their New Ghost Pepper Wings Combo. DELICIOUS, spicy and meaty! I have to come back here soon and have this again. We all already know about their rice, biscuits and other delicious stuff so, no need to elaborate on that. P. S.: I have never encountered any problems in this neighborhood and that’s all I’m going to say about that.
