i was here for a full moon party, my first impression was hmm the girl at the door only asks for a donation to the guys, not the girls. im all about equality. so whatever, i donated $ 20 cause im generous like that, besides, i was still a bit tipsy from the the sketchy party #2. the event was happening as we got in, a band started to play inside. there was also a bar inside and the service was nice. proper pours but you had to buy a ticket in order to get a drink, that means you make 2 lines to get a drink. then we decided to chill outside and get something to eat, i ordered my food, P ordered hers. i got charged for mine, P got hers for free. dont hate the penis miami art space.

So… I’m still searching for a reception venue for the wedding I’ve never planned… I came across the website for Miami Art Space and I saw some pictures of what looks like KICKASS wedding receptions. I must say, if you’ve got the dollar have your reception here! I’m one of those artsy fartsy girls who can’t stand reception halls and frickin chandeliers. If you’re going to spend the money, do it with some class. Treat your guests to some visual orgasms Check out the website art gallery. It’ll blow your mind, and you’ll wonder how come your friends never thought to think awesome when it came to that special day…

I just curated an event at the Miami Art Space. Paula E, came to see it!(New Times: 22 Years of Art) The space is great, it has a lot of versatility. There are two buildings, within a beautiful Banyan tree lined courtyard. You can shape the space to your needs with moveable walls, and adjust the lighting. The manager Alexis is a dream to work with, knowledgeable, fun and professional. It is a little off the beaten path so it is a great place to begin or end your Art Walk. There is ac, drinks and great works. Check this place out if you are hosting an event.

I’ve been to MAS many times before during Art Walks, but I had never thought of reviewing it. I spent a good amount of time there last night at the New Times: 22 Years of Art exhibit and I cannot begin to describe the fun I had. What an awesome place, super roomy, really good lighting, definitely a great gallery. I also enjoyed the big spacious outdoor patios they have, its nicely lit so you can take breaks from the inside activities and share your opinions with friends over a cig. Whitney R. was essentially in charge of this event, and she only had nothing but super pleasant things to say about Alexis, the owner. They were serving Puerto Rican rums at their open bar, where they mixed delightful concoctions. The Dj was really good, he played some really funky ethnic music. He was accompanied by a Bongo player and a lady that toward the end of the evening, started dancing to the beat of the drums and the music, and began a sort of dance-off circle with everyone. Not only that, but they were also simultaneously having a locks-of-love event in the room next door where the stylists from Snip were giving people haircuts(free if you donated 10 in.) All in all a very nifty shing-ding, I look forward to more events here.

Saturday Night was my first time at the Miami art space and I absolutely love it! I’ve done the art-walk only once before and never knew Mas was there !! Great job to Whitney R. for an amazing event!!! My favorite Miami New times Cover is the one with the Pig using different cuts of meat lol. The open bar was stocked with Puerto Rico’s best rums and the bartenders were more than willing to keep our glass full. Sadly I left before the dance party Paula mentioned got started but I wanted to get good parking near all the other galleries(Thanks Gipsy for the tip) I look forward to coming back to Mas in the future to see what beautiful art they will have.
