My brother got his very first tattoo here recently, and I would definitely recommend Hell Bound for anyone looking to get inked. They worked with him a bit on price(he’s at that«broke college kid» age) and made sure the placement and size was perfect. It was simple, just roman numerals representing the birth dates of our immediate family, but it turned out great and he was really patient with my brother who kept sitting up and looking at his ribs whenever he would stop for a second. My brother hasn’t had any problems with the healing process and the tattoo looks awesome. Two thumbs up.

Just finished getting the outline and shading portion of a traditional-style quarter sleeve done by Felipe, and it looks AMAZING already! And that’s not just my personal bias, all the friends I’ve shown it to in the short time I’ve had it have gushed about how nice it looks, and more than one has asked for the shop’s info. I can’t wait to see it w/the color in a couple of weeks. And did I mention it’s a cover-up? It can be tricky when you’re covering old work, but mine looks perfect. You can’t even tell there was an old one, but the design wasn’t forced by the CU either. Regarding Felipe, I’d recommend him to anyone w/my eyes closed. He does incredible work – really clean-looking, sharp and bold designs. The lines look awesome, and his shading came out beautiful. I came to him w/general ideas I had, but nothing concrete, and he got really involved and into the project, brainstorming and making suggestions, and helping me put together a cohesive theme that I’m really happy with. It’s extremely encouraging when your tattoo artist shows enthusiasm for the work he’s going to do before even beginning. I’ll also say Felipe’s got a really good hand. It’ll heal smooth as butter. And he gave me a killer price on it too. As for the shop itself, after spending several hours there, I can say w/confidence that the place has a great vibe in general. All the guys there are really cool. There’s none of that tat-snob vibe you catch when you walk into some places, where everyone working there seems to think they’re cooler than you. The atmosphere at HBC is exactly the opposite, which is exactly what you want – really comfortable and laid-back, so you can feel at ease and enjoy the experience. And like one of the previous reviewers said, they play great music, which also helps keep the vibe nice. Of course, it’s impeccably clean, which is of utmost importance, otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed. And the place is nicely decorated w/a fun tiki theme to boot. I’ve only had Felipe work on me, but from what I’ve seen of the other artists’ work, they’re all very talented as well. I would strongly recommend Hell Bound City to anyone looking to get tattooed. I’m headed back for color in 2 weeks, and will definitely be going back for any future work I want done. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I might be going back for fresh ink sooner than I expected.

Joey was great. I had a pic that he drew and did perfectly like I expected. Healing has been great and tat looks awesome. Home-like feel at this place. If you’re paying with a card 10% is added.

I like to think of myself as somewhat seasoned in the knowledge of tattoo shops, so let me tell you there are few other places that I’d even thinking about going to. The shop is clean, super chill and exactly what a tattoo shop should be. There’s no bullshit, no pretentious attitudes, no glitz or gimmicks neither. It’s a legit tattoo shop with great artists. If it’s your 1st tattoo or your 100th this is the place to go. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

Classy, simple, cool and relaxing. Just what a tattoo shop should be. It makes me wonder why places like this one are not at the forefront of the tattoo industry in Miami instead of the trendy south beach shops. Esteban is an amazing artist and the music at the shop is MONEY !

My turn and it keeps the 5 stars!!! Yup. Right there on the hip, yes on the bone! Ready? Okay. ~ I close my eyes ~ ouch ouch ouch! ~ Tell me when you’re going to start… what do you mean you’re finished??? No pain. Quick. Pretty red. Okay — so one week later the red is not as bright, but the pigment is infamous for that, so a touch up will always be needed — but if it’s as quick and painless as the first application, I’m in! Esteban rocks! TAA… Hi my name is IMC and I’m an addict!

One day I said, «I really want to get a tattoo.» Then I said it again and again and again until I annoyed my own damn self. Then on another day I got up and said, «get the freakin’ tattoo already and shut the hell up. You are so annoying!» Lucky for me, I know the first reviewer of Hell Bound City — Ivonne C. She is no push over. She does her homework. She takes no shit. She appreciates the value of a dollar. She’s a lovely and positive spirit. She likes tattoos. I trust her judgement. Jackpot! I took her advice and made an appointment with«Sebastian.’ Well, turns out — there is no Sebastian at Hell bound — but there is an Esteban — and he rocked my world one day by carving a beautiful, red Asian Sun on my wrist with great skill — and speed. This boy knows his ink and is as laid back cool as they come. I booked a spot with him at 4:45 and at that very second he drove up as I drove up — and the rest is my history. The place is sparkly clean, and has lots of books of tat art to browse. «Damn– that girl got a tattoo where??? What the hell is that? Oh– it’s kind of nice.» The price was $ 80 for the honking tattoo that took over my entire inner wrist. I was stoked because I was expecting to pay much more. Considering I carved a symbol of what I strive to keep in my life forever(passion and power) I thought it was a great value! None of that South Beach overpriced nonsense. It was my first tattoo so I can’t compare it to anything. I just know in my gut that I was in good hands and I made the right choice. The tat was skillfully executed for sure. Bring a picture of what you want and a Zen like relationship with pain and you will be fine.(I also brought a good friend and a camera phone. I highly recommend Facebooking while Tattooing — good distraction from skin carving.) Thanks Esteban — you rocked my world — and almost made me pass out cold.(I think I’m in love.)
