Los Tanitos

This place rings tried and true! I’m Argentinian and there are few and far between decent places… Family owned and always do a good job with antojitos y comida fuerte!!! I would totally recommend !!! Que vivan Los tanitos!!!

Los Tanitos is my favorite breakfast and lunch eatery! Absolutely fantastic customer service and the food is so yummy. I pick up food from this restaurant at least twice a week and I’m never disappointed. FYI the café con leche is my favorite.

If could give this restaurant a zero start, I would. It has the worst servers, they don’t bring anything you ask for. Last weekend my family and I went to celebrate a nephew’s birthday and we asked for three parrilladas (they were so small and hardly food on the plate), they never brought us the third one, they forgot the sodas, the brucheta, and a cup of sangria. It has the worst service and attitude. I won’t recommend this place to anyone and I won’t come back here ever.

Went on a Groupon and had a decent meal: special note DO NOT order wine, it’s included but not worth it, even for free. Good news is it was ok for the money. I have to say the best part was the warm bread!!! That’s about it though… I paid $ 21 for two which included vacio (flank) steak, two sides and two glasses of wine. Skip wine, as I said, better off with water. I ordered side of home made mashed potatoes and caprese salad. Not bad, not good. Decent. Boyfriend had rice and beans, bland tasting According to my man. Although we were the only ones there, granted it was 500 on a Tuesday, service slow. Had dessert pasta flora, a pie filled with Membrillo (quince) which was again just ok. The big question. Will I return? Doubt it.

Excellent service. Parrillada was delicious. Used Groupon voucher. Validated without issues.

I’ve been here a couple of times for working lunches. The parking is practically nonexistent– the spaces are always full mid-​day.
That being said. The restaurant is a sweet little space with a few tables (15?) flanked on one side by a meat/​deli/​wine station and on the other by delicious smelling baked goods.
The lunch specials are reasonably priced and are served with your choice of sides (noted on the back of the menu) and a glass of wine.
I ordered the lunch selection without the wine and the server actually pointed out that it was a better deal to just order the full portion if I wasn’t going to have wine. I was certainly surprised until I commented and he explained he was the owner.
While we waited for the food to arrive I noted a wide array if meats and cheeses and sweetbreads and other butcher worthy selections available for purchase in the glass display counter. Prices were reasonable compared to that if my local butcher.
When the food arrived (promptly) the churrasco was flavorful and tender. The portion was perfect for lunch. The service was efficient and friendly. The owner delivered the food himself and checked back to make sure the meal was enjoyable.
(The cheese selection appetizer was enough to share and there was a variety of cheese offered — I wish someone would have told us what was on the plate or cheese markers would have been used– it may have resulted in a purchase of cheese to go. This was a comment from a previous visit which I feel I should point out as if it had happened when the owner was present the experience would likely have been different).
Overall a lovely experience in a restaurant with nice ambience and really good food (better parking and cheese explanation would equal a home run). They also have groupons available.

This place is the 21^st century incarnation of an old Kendall classic, Che Tano… which opened its doors in 1992.
It is my local spot for all things Argentinian, especially their empanadas. Best empanadas in Kendall (maybe with the exception of Mr & Mrs Bun, but they’re a new take on an old classic there, so maybe it wouldn’t be fair to compare the two).
Their prices are reasonable for empanadas, although I find their other plates a bit small for what they charge.
I miss the old location on Kendall and 137^th, it was roomier and had more variety… but I guess rents in the area were getting too high so they moved over to a smaller locale about half a mile down the road and changed their name to reflect that.
I’m glad these guys are around for many empanada fix. They’re the perfect food.

Great service good food. First thing I noticed… it is very clean… Gordan Ramsey would not have a temper tantrum. Food pretty good well worth the Groupon experience… I will come back!

I came here for my coupon on LivingSocial, they accepted with no problems. This spectacular place hidden in Kendal. Since the minute we arrived the waitress was really kind. They offer free bread (great great bread). Prices are really reasonable for the excellent quality. Desserts are awesome, empanadas also great and their coffe is something that you wanna try.

The most expensive parrillada for two, the place it’s good, I like the fact it’s a little market for meat and Argentinian stuff, bakes empanadas and the best sea salt for bbq, but the restaurant it’s not the best.

ZERO STARS for Customer Service and they NEVERRRR HONOR their Groupons. 3 TIMES we’ve come (to give them the benefit of the doubt) –EVERY TIME that I try to use the Groupon, they ALWAYS have an excuse as to why they won’t accept it. This time, we came on Easter Sunday, and they wouldn’t accept the Groupon because it was a Holiday. I showed them THEIR Groupon ad, which ONLY excludes Christmas Eve/​Day & New Year’s Eve/​Day …and they still wouldn’t honor it. Last time, we came with 3 other couples, who all bought the Groupon… and we were told that they couldn’t honor it because they ONLY use it on «certain tables» and they were «already taken» (NO WHERE on the Ad or the restaurant did it say such a ridiculous thing). And the very 1^st time… they wouldn’t allow us to pick a dish from where the Groupon stated. LAST TIME HERE! …and I STILL haven’t been able to cash in the Freakin’ Groupon – calling to get a refund. Our ADVICE, go to Burger King or anywhere else but here.

I was accused of not paying my bill. I won’t ever be going back to this place. Upon walking out, a rude waitress with black hair called me back to ask me if I paid my bill. I was so insulted. «Of course I payed, that’s why I am walking out» I told her. Never again will I’ll go back!

The food is great and so is the wine. The atmosphere is a little to be desired for and the waitresses aren’t that attentive. The only reason I choose to come back is because they really do make a good plate of meat. If you’re in the Kendall area and you’re looking for decent Argentinian meal, this is the place to go, but if you’re willing to drive further up north I would recommend that instead.

Great baked empanadas. I love the baked Spinach they are made fresh daily. Lovely lady begins the counter will offer to heat it up for you, which I recommend you do. I have one for the ride home. They also have ham and cheese, meat, spicy beef etc The bread to go is crusty and perfect size for a great sand which. Love the desserts so many to choose from, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve not dined in.

Not sure if this place has taken all the negative reviews into consideration but we just ate here tonight and the food and service was good. After reading all the negative reviews I thought this place would be a total dump… my wife was scared of going. We used a Groupon deal and we did not have the same problems others are mentioning about substituting Churrasco for chicken, etc.
The place is clean, the wine they served me was great and the bread they bring before the dinner was excellent. I have to disagree with all the negative posts and we go to nice restaurants all the time. I think they must have taken the negative posts into consideration and improved their entire service from the food to the servers, etc.

The worse service EVER!!! The owner is RUDE and does not care about his customers!!! He is nasty to customers in front of other customers. If you want a rude Argentinian owner that does not appreciate your business this is the restaurant for you.
I went with a Groupon and he insisted that it was expired. I called Groupon and they requested to speak to him. He brought me the phone back and told me he had no time to speak to them because he was watching a show on his restaurant TV.
Amazing!!!

Watching the game, having lunch, getting some meat and sausages to take home as well as dessert and wine. What else can I ask for?

Used to be good when it was Che Tano. Now it’s so mediocre.
I had pretty subpar food a couple of months ago and today I decided to give it another shot today and bought 6 empanadas and 2 pastries.
Few things:
— They microwave their empanadas to heat them up. This made them a little soggy and they lost the baked goodness.
— the dough itself was undercooked. I opened one and the inside part of the dough felt like it needed more time in the oven. Too doughy.
— too much oil. (Posted pics)
— the humita one is so horrible. Probably the worst one I tried.
— the pastries are ok. But nothing remarkable.
I’d return to try more things but I’m so discouraged. Not even worth it.
For good empanadas and Argentinian food I’d recommend Puerto Madero.

Restaurant & butcher shop.
This is a combination of restaurant, pastry and butcher shop.
We went specifically for a grill sausage for that night’s BBQ. The butcher was very helpful with suggestion as what to buy and how much.
I have to tell you this sausage was absolutely delicious once cooked. We couldn’t stop eating it.
Argentinian meats are great.

el desayuno deja mucho de desear. los huevos revueltos son grasientos. el café es de los peores que he provado en miami. la atencion depende de quien te atienda.
almuerzos y cena, fui dos veces con groupon y no me dejaron escoger del menu. solo podia escoger enter dos tipos de carne que por cierto eran muy pequenas. la oferta de groupon decia a la carta.
en general el rest. si se puede llamar asi me parace mediocre y no lo recomiendo para nada…
