I went on a gloomy day and the market wasn’t as full as I suppose it should be but the prices are great! I got a couple of fruits(apples, grapes, pineapple etc) for only 16 dollars! And there was this Indian food tent which was delicious as well. I got spinach and feta cheese samosas for $ 8.50.

I love love love the farmer’s market scene in Miami! They have all of the seasonal tropical fruit that somehow can’t travel 30 miles north into broward county. Right now, they have a ton of longans, rambutans, and dragon fruit; most were $ 4-$ 5 per pound. Fresh soursop is $ 8/lb. I bought 3 full bags of fruits, vegetables and herbs for $ 30 whereas it would have been close to $ 70 at publix. The ceviche stand there is awesome! It’s $ 5 for a container which varies in size depending on what type you get. I had the mixed while my boyfriend had the fish only one and his was bigger. This came with crackers. They also have a tabletop full of different hot sauces you can add to your ceviche if you so desire. I ate mine the way it was: refreshing, light, and flavorful.

I was so happy to finally see a farmers market in west kendall. It’s something the area needed desperately. My family and I have been here a few times. We love to stock up on fresh veggies and fruits. The smoothies are always fresh and delicious. There’s a guy that sells ceviche of all sorts that are incredible. Also there’s local merchants that sell everything from candles, soaps, and hand made products. Come support local pork and the business and check out the west kendall farmers market!!!

We are so happy that there is finally a quality Farmers’ Market in West Kendall. The location of the Market is ideal given its located just west of the Florida Turnpike on Kendall Drive within the Kendall Village Shopping Center. There are a variety of vendors and they are all real nice and helpful. The access and parking are a breeze and it’s nice that we can shop or dine after within the Center that contains many wonderful retailers.

Pretty good for a S. Fl farmers’ market(which is setting the bar somewhat low). Not as big as Pinecrest’s but a good variety of produce, crafts, prepared food and more. There are stands for cheap produce(Juice orange 5 for $ 1!) as well as organic, local stuff(local lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, etc). The market is behind the cinema and shops, there are clear signs directing you, and parking is plentiful and right next to the market. My favorite stands: In Your Face Delight: raw, vegan desserts sweetened with dates and fruits. Their key lime pie, for example, uses avocado instead of condensed milk and while one can debate whether it’s the best pie, sure tastes better than many conventional ones. Black Gold dark chocolate is very delicious too. Sprouts: this guy has like 8 types of sprouts and wheatgrass, and cut the sprouts off the trays as you buy. Can’t get fresher than that and a good price too, $ 5 for a big bag, and you can mix several sprouts in one bag. Keez Beez: honey from the keys, with flavors like black mangrove, sea grapes and more. Nisha’s Indian food: home made chutneys, curries, nan and parantha. Their website lists some of the good deals for the week. Check it out ahead of time, as there is no mention of it on site.
