CHURROS!!! Who doesn’t love them? I must say it’s hard to shop at H&M and not get a little dose of Churromania on my way out. For being a tacky chain place, the churros are surprisingly good. The classic which has sugar is always a safe bet, but recently I’ve been having them topped with dulce de leche or chocolate or both(yolo) and omg, good stuff. Service is eh whatever, and if it’s crowded it could be a bit uncomfortable and hectic trying to find somewhere to wait while other people try to order. Also, they don’t serve cups of water, and warning: these bad boys make you very thirsty. Yum yum yum.

I love churros, and churromania, but had never tried this location in international mall. I am sad to say that I was disappointed. The churros were not fully fried. Instead of having that gold-brownish color, it was a pale beige color. Even after trying them, I couldn’t have more than one. Doesn’t change my interest in churromania, but I wouldn’t return to this location.

I love churros!!! Now that I got that out of the way I’d recommend the churros from this place. They are prob the best I’ve tried in a while. My fav is to do half sugar and half dulce de leche. Mouth watering as I type and I just had some yesterday!

I once lived in a world where I could only eat churros in singles. Long, stale, and powdered in sugar, these churros were sold in on the side of the street or in amusement park booths. Thus, I ordered two packs of 8-churros for my brother and I. Lessons learned are listed below: 1. These churros are good. 2. If you order a topping(i.e. dulce de leche), it does not come with powdered sugar. 3. You can have more churros than you can finish.

The cream cheese and guava churro is delicious. The dulce de leche one is too sweet but I can definitely share one :-)

When I was in high school, my level 1 Spanish book was called«Churros y Chocolate». When we asked the teacher what this was, she described a pastry that was drizzled or dipped in warm chocolate sauce. My mouth started watering and I’d always looked forward to trying them myself. A few days ago when I was at International Mall, I walked past Churromania and for the first time in memory, I actually saw one of these stores without a huge line in front of it! I went over, ordered up an 8 piece Twist Mania and asked for it to be served in the most traditional way. She suggested that I have them drizzled, ½ with chocolate sauce(Nutella, I believe) and ½ in caramel. A few minutes later, my churros were ready. I’m not sure if these are an acquired taste, a cultural thing or if it’s just my American palate, but for some reason I was expecting something much sweeter and more rich — Maybe something akin to a chocolate glazed donut. At any rate, I had 4 of the 8 pieces, decided these weren’t for me and certainly weren’t worth the calories, and I discarded the rest. I see that a few different listings for this chain have received high marks from others who’ve tried it. Perhaps if I’d ordered a different topping I’d have been happier, but I wasn’t thrilled with the ones I tried.

Having the«Big Mania» made me miss the churros I had a million years ago at an Orlando Argentinian restaurant. I made a mental note to re-visit the place when I got back. This particular Churromania is in the Miami International Mall and of course, I got giddy when I saw it. It’s like the funnel cake to the Latin America world so I had to have it. I asked the guy at the register a question about some of the churros, whether they all had filling(a stupid question, it’s all there on the menu) and realized he didn’t understand or speak English. Really? I realize it’s called the«International» mall and I’m in Miami and all, but give me a break. Since I refused to elaborate in Spanish, I just said, «Big Mania». He understood that much. It’s nice that it’s made to order and it satisfied my craving, so I guess that’s the point.

If you like your dough fried and with sugar on it raise your hand!!! //raising my own hand// Yea, who doesn’t? All I have to say this, never trust anyone who doesn’t like fried dough with sugar or other sweet yumminess, they aren’t normal. This Churromania is quite stealthily placed next to the indoor playground here in International. It never has the massive lines like the one in Dolphin which is a huge plus. The only con is that the tables are placed around the little park, so if you mind kids screaming while you eat them no problem. they are kind of portable if you don’t add the sticky stuff, so you can walk around with them if you prefer.
