This place was the absolute WORST restaurant I have been to in a very, very long time. I would pay to NOT go here. We came in on a Monday evening — place was totally empty. There was perhaps just one other party here. Place was very dated and saw two flies flying around the place; I was not excited to eat here already. The menu had way too many options and the prices were suspiciously low. $ 8.99 for a churrasco? Makes you wonder what quality items they are buying for their restaurant. I decided to try to churrasco out of curiosity. I asked for maduros as a side and I was informed several minutes later that they didn’t have maduros. Um, what? Never heard that in any Cuban restaurant… The food arrived and my «churrasco» didn’t look very much like a churrasco. It was accompanied by «chimichurri» sauce, yucca, and black beans. The sauce was more oil than anything with pieces of onion and browning chunks of parsley; I placed that to the side almost immediately. I started cutting into the steak and noticed how tough it was to get though it. I realized I was never asked how I wanted it cooked. I like my steak cooked medium and this was made well done. I decided to taste it and realized it was seasoned like a palomilla, with cumin and other spices. Also, this was not a skirt steak. This was something else… I was ultimately left confused. What did I just get? Who doesn’t know what a churrasco is in Miami? I decided to try the beans and realized that they tasted TERRIBLE. I think black beans from a can would taste better than the beans I got from this restaurant. They were watery and tasteless. The yucca was lukewarm and didn’t taste fresh, although seasoned well. I quickly lost my appetite. I went to a funeral right after and started feeling stomach cramps and nausea. To make a long story short, I got food poisoning from this place. All in all, SHAMEONMARINHOUSE! Shame on you for delivering terrible food to customers. SHAMEONYOU for delivering food that did not represent the description, and SHAMEONYOU for giving me food that poisoned me! I would hate to see what their kitchen looks like — probably disgusting.

Mixed feelings… Food is good for the value, but place is dated & empty most of the time. It needs to be renovated badly! Staff also needs basic training on how to wait on a table properly. We go here often because it’s a convenient location for us & food is good & cheap… But, it’s not a visually appealing place.

First off this place was out of plantains at 3:00pm on a Sunday. How is it even possible for a Cuban restaurant to run out of plantains??? My food wasn’t bad, chicken was cooked fine and the beans lacked flavor but at least my food was cooked correctly. The service was pretty slow and also this happened: upon leaving we walked passed our waitress who was going through the trash in the dining area. I guess someone had lost something maybe some jewelry in the garbage. The worst part is I watched her go through it and then pickup someone’s bill and take it to their table. She didn’t wash her hands. She didn’t wear gloves. Absolutely freaking disgusting. Never again!

The worst food ever!!! Saturday, 1÷30÷2016 was a very bad experience. I was visiting a friend close to this restaurant and I decided to stop by on my way home. I’m Cuban so arroz con pollo is a very well known dish for me… They gave me yellow rice with a piece of roasted chicken, unbelievable, never, ever I’ve seen such horrible thing… My husband had a churrasco, it was on but the salad was awful, dry and ugly… Don’t go there!!!

If I could give this place a –5 stars I would! For starters, the tables were poorly set and the chairs were all stained. But being I’ve heard somewhat good things from this place, we decided to give it a try. For a place that advertises on tv and is next to a funeral home which normally generates a lot of business, it was totally empty, except for another couple. We let that slide since it was about 9pm and a weekday(Thursday). When the bread came out, it looked amazing until I tried to bite into it. It was hard as rock and stale as can be. We ordered 2 soups(chicken soup and crema de malanga). The crema de malanga was gray, seems it was sitting out for a day or so. The chicken soup was bland and colorless. Next, we ordered a plate containing ham, cheese, pork, croquetas. Croquetas are soft, normally. These were so hard we had to use a steak knife to cut them and once we cut into them, 1 of them was black on the inside. This place was disgusting by all accounts and I will NEVER set foot in here again.

Good prices but this restaurant is inconsistent and has gone downhill. We ate at Casa Marin on a Saturday night and we were one of only two parties in the place which is never a good sign. My Miami sandwich which was fair was definitely the worst I have ever had and took their sandwich maker what seemed like forever to assemble. Bread put on the table had little to no butter. Hot dishes were cold and so were the fries. I saw the waitress bring out the fries to the sandwich maker a full ten minutes before the sandwich was put on the table so of course they were ice cold, and the«hot dishes» were consumed before the sandwich ever made it to the table. One good thing is they are open late; we wanted to go to Rio Cristal but they were closed. Based on my last two experiences at Cass Marin(my first was very good) I doubt I will return anytime soon.

My job often orders food from this restaurant. I always order my food around noon and in 20 minutes I pick it up its hot and ready. Their food is great and prices fantastic. Must try the pollo milanesa, vaca frita, and of course Cosita marin. Delicious.

was there last night had to wait more than 45 min. for our food., no problem with that. There were 6 of us, all paying individually. Prices are very low compared to other Cuban restaurants. When it came time to pay, it took another 45 min. to get our bill. We all paid our own bill, 3 of us gave 15% tip on 7.00 bill. one gave 20% on her 7.00 bill and the other 2 gave their corresponding % tip. When the server came back with the receipt, she ask if her serving was bad, because by adding all 6 bills we had given her less than 15%. We really got insulted because these were individual bills and each of us had given her %. she said this in front of everyone in the restaurant, every one there heard it. i told her that we would never come back there. I feel that Mr Marin, should let his server know that they can’t do. we have been there many, many times and the food and server were excellent. Must of the old servers are gone, these are all new, they need to be trained better. Esa es la ultima ves que voy a su restaurant.

Awesome food at a reasonable prices. They even have live music at night. It was a great place to spend Father’s Day with my dad, he loved the place and that was what matter. It was his day

Go somewhere else. We sat down for lunch. They have about 15 sandwiches on the menu, but no one could tell me what was on any sandwich except«ham, cheese». Not just my waitress, she asked two other servers that were nearby. We asked for lemon food or water, said we could have a few slices that were never delivered. I ended up with a regular Cuban. It tasted fine, except I had no idea what was on it until it came to my table(I realize this is a popular sandwich, but I had never had one and wrongly assumed that going to a local place I could get some good info). There was very little flavor to the sandwich except the pile of ham; imo it could have used some spices or more mustard, or just some really great meat. Bottom line: if you’re in a rush there’s a walk-up window, but I’d take my chances somewhere else.

Had a cuban sandwich at the walkup window. The sandwich was good, but really lacked«pop». Not much seasoning. It was very bland. Needed more mustard. It was a good tasting sandwich, but if they’d have seasoned it, it would have been amazing.
