The ONLY good bagel & breakfast place around is now closed. I can’t explain that which I don’t understand.

This place is clean, well-organized and has a great location; however, the one word I thought about my food was ‘bland’. Bagels didn’t have much flavor, I didn’t like the coffee much(tried a few different flavors) and thought the prices were a little steep. Doubtful I’d return.

I stumbled on this place when I was looking for some coffee near my job. The coffee, although simple is really delicious. I love mixing the vanilla and regular roast. Everything I have had from there is super fresh. My all-time favorite is the blueberry muffin. We have ordered delivery from them and generally everything has arrived within 15 – 20 minutes of ordering and the food is good. We especially love their Mediterranean menu! Another plus, the staff is super friendly.

Being from Detroit we have lots of good bagel places. I was a little scared to try this place but I was starving, stuck at a down hotel with no car so options were limited. For about 25 bucks I feed 5 people and everyone was happy. We got a panni, bagels, muffin, pastry, and a egg/cheese sandwich. Everything was hot, fresh and most importantly good. I am leaving tomorrow so I wish I found this place the first day I was here instead of spending 20 bucks a person for room service.

I say this place is okay. I will give it one thing, the place is darn clean. Way cleaner than you would expect a bagel shop in a bad hood next to a gun shop to be. But I gotta admit, this place is not worth a drive from anywhere, I may stop by if its on my way and have a spot of time to kill. I had the Dave Special #2. And well, it was just okay, nothing to write home about. I was also terribly annoyed that the staff decided to gather on one side of the restaurant and have a total bitch out session with each other for a full 20 mins. I ordered some bagels to go, and again they were appreciated by my office chums, but it wasn’t anything Dunkin’ Donuts could do better.

I’ll admit, I’ve never had a bagel here, which is pretty crazy considering that bagels seem to be this place’s forte. What I have had are wraps. Wraps galore. So I’ll comment on those. Very quickly. Very. I usually get one of two wraps: an «Iron Man» wrap — which is nothing more than egg whites, spinach, and turkey — and a more filling, more fattening(i.e. more delicious) ham, egg, and cheese wrap. The Iron Man wrap is about as delicious as you can expect a healthy breakfast option to be. I’m not a huge fan of eggs without cheese, and I don’t think they add too much salt. However, I’m not complaining. The fact is that, often times, healthier options aren’t going to be as tasty, especially in my onion– and pepper-less world. It is what it is. The other wrap — the fattier, tastier option — is pretty damn good. Fluffy eggs, tasty ham, melted cheese just dribbling down your chin. It’s great. Now, I’m not trying to make it seem otherworldly. After all, we’re talking about a very basic breakfast item here. But really, you can’t discount or dismiss an establishment’s ability to get breakfast right because it can so very often get breakfast wrong. Now, I won’t name names(The Daily), but I’m sure everyone knows what I’m talking about(The Daily). Also, the wraps are very nicely put together. Burrito-like expertise. I can’t forget about that. It really sucks to have a wrap or a burrito or some other blanketed sandwich just fall apart in your hands. Ok, I’ll name a name. Just one! The Daily. I really hate that place.

Brooklyn Bagels is a great casual spot to grab some breakfast. They have a large selection of bagels that rivals Einstein’s in selection. In addition, they also have wraps and daily specials. I had the«Brooklyn Hero» which was a special wrap written on the bulletin board. It had eggs, sausage, cheese, and salsa on it which gave it just the right amount of kick. We also had iced coffee which was pretty good. There is also a Mediterranean menu being served for dinner here. Not sure what’s up with that, but I might be tempted to try it one day. The guys who work there are also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend for a great quick breakfast.

midtown is filled with hipsters, i mean, the neighborhood IS called ‘midtown’, oh really? where the fuck is uptown then? how could there be a midtown without an uptown? midtown should be called uptown, i think, right? maybe midtown is called midtown just cause its midway through the hood. anyways, the point is that brooklyn bagels not only serves awesome bagels and sandwiches, like the williamsburg, but they also have a mediterranean menu. the sad thing is that hipsters have not discovered this cuisine just yet, hipsters borrowed sushi from the douchebags as their common favorite cuisine ever too. so that being said, if you want to get the mediterranean fare at brooklyn bagels, call in advance cause they will cook it for you to order. falafel, shawarma, kabobs, hummus. the good stuff. service is very warm and friendly. i started conversation with one of the guys behind the counter who let me know they are of egyptian descent, this explains the delicious lentil soup. no lie.

This is my go to bagel place. The bagels are just as they should be, chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. Brooklyn Bagels has a variety of cream cheeses to choose from, all of which the friendly guys at the counter tell me are low fat. Apparently they also serve middle eastern food like falafel and shwarma, but I have yet to try. I also like how they sell locally squeezed OJ so that you don’t have to choke down OJ from concentrate while enjoying your delicious bagel at their nice outdoor tables.

Fast, convenient and friendly! Had breakfast there yesterday after finishing up a long run and it was just what the trainer ordered. The guy behind the counter, who appears to own the place with his brother, was so friendly! A rarity in Miami! He was chatting with some other customers who appeared to be regulars — it was nice to see that they have a good base of customers who clearly enjoying coming here regularly. Bonus points for the fact that all of the cream cheese options were low fat!

So Ive been here a few times, and i can report: a. The bagels are not great(sorta gummy, bad texture!) b. The sandwiches are decent(the only thing that keeps it from a one star review c. Wretched«ambiance». Hey, for a bagel place I’m not looking for a white table cloth sorta thing, but I wouldn’t mind having a place to read a paper or maybe have a conversation. These people had the tv turned up so loud I could barely hear the cashier. I had to take my paper and leave. Which meant I didn’t get coffee from them, which translates to less dollars in their pocket. Due to a TV. not smart.

The phrase for the 2 stars is EXACTLY how I feel about this place, «Meh, I’ve experienced better.» Came here after a morning appointment at Midtown and I was extremely hungry. Based on the name of restaurant I assumed that they would have a variety of bagels and shmears to try. Well you know what they say about assuming things… so anyways, I was disappointed when I looked at the wall of bagels. There were just a few variety of bagels and shmears. Maybe its because I have been spoiled from other bagel shops that I left hear a bit upset. I had to pay for parking for an ordinary bagel that I can make at home. Maybe I came at a bad time while the other varities were baking, I dont know. Based on the other reviews, I see that their hot breakfast is good so maybe I will swing by another time and try. Im not ruling them out quite yet.

On a rare day off I was able to meet up with my daughter before work for breakfast. She suggested this place, she comes often as she works down the street. The selection of breakfast items was very nice and I ordered a panini type sandwich with eggs, tomatoes and bacon(hold the cheese please). It was outright delish and the service was incredibly nice. Its very refreshing to find a genuine smile and good humor.

Yet another cool place in my quest for breakfast throughout my morning commute. I am a fan of options, and these guys give me plenty of those. Usually I go with the Whole Wheat with 2 egg whites and turkey with coffee and I am good to go until lunch. If I find myself in midtown during the later hours of the day, a plain bagel with coffee suits me just fine. And I usually grab a dozen to go so we can have some at home with the family. Either way, I like what I get here and I am always quite satisfied.

Having lived in Brooklyn, I know from bagels. The ones you’ll find at Brooklyn Bagels are as authentic as you will find in Miami, and this is said after having tried other ‘authentic’ local bagels over the past few years… all resulting in disappointment. If the lore is true, the secret is in the water. Apparently, they truck in Brooklyn tap water to lend that special touch. While trucking in water may not be green, it is making for some tasty bagels.

I’m always a fan of new places, especially those that aren’t the usual chains you constantly here commercials or drive by over and over again: Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Einstein Bagels… Brooklyn Bagels has pretty tasty options, I really liked the bagel with salmon cream cheese. No need for extra lox since the cream cheese has real pieces throughout. But the bagel didn’t really taste«brooklyn» to me, just a standard yet yummy, crunchy, toasted bagel. No flagels the day I went. The place is a quick, in-and-out type of place, nothing too fancy to stare at. They did have some fun identical twins working there that I think everyone in line was kinda mesmerized watching them slice, cut, and toast in the same exact manner. Definitely nice addition to Midtown Mall and great to have something different in the a.m. before work.

For lunch I dropped by the new Brooklyn Bagels in Midtown to check out their sandwiches. The No 8 Brooklyn Pastrami was thinly sliced and piping hot. I also couldn’t resist their hot Six Cheese Bagel. It’s great to finally have a place for a Toasted Bagel and for a new place for lunch in Midtown. Remember to feed the meter in Midtown or park across the street in the Garage for the free hour. If you have the Verrus Parking Card, you can even feed your meter on your cell phone as you wait for your order.

Brooklyn Bagels recently opened shop in the Shoppes at Midtown, just a few doors south of The Cheese Course. I’ve had the pleasure of grabbing both breakfast and lunch there in the past couple weeks, and let me tell you, these guys know how to make a bagel! They don’t just have regular olé bagels, they have FLAGELS(a/k/a flat bagels). They also have something they call bagel sticks, though I’m still not so sure about those. All their schmears are made in-house, as in veggie cream cheese with cut-up fresh veggies mixed in, lox spread with real pieces of lox mixed in, etc. For lunch, they have a variety of sandwiches to choose from, including house-made chicken, tuna, or egg salad, or cold/hot deli meats. Oh, and all the sandwiches are preceded by «Brooklyn.» I’ve had both the everything regular bagel, and the everything flagel, the lox spread, the bagel & lox, and a Brooklyn Hot Roast sandwich, and everything has been stellar! I also got to try my friend’s chicken salad sandwich on a marble rye bagel, and it was ridiculously good. Midtown was definitely in need of a bagel shop, and Brooklyn Bagels has delivered! Can’t wait to return(and probably will early next week!)!
