Ate here today… it was just ok for me. The gravy was amazing over my mashed potatoes tho! My chicken cutlets were bland but not bad…

Best meal we had in Miami over the course of our stay in the area for 3 days. Jagerschinitzel was delicious. Yummy. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area if you like German inspired food.

Although most of the restaurant is dominated by enormous TV screens, which might be great to watch your favorite soccer team play, there is a somewhat secluded alcove where you can enjoy views of the marina — and of the Chili’s next door — without being bombarded with penalty kicks, fouls, fancy footy, and the(very) occasional goal. As is to be expected, they have a nice variety of German brews on tap. And a variety of tasty typical beer-hall German eats. All reasonably priced. The servers are costumed in traditional Bavarian garb and ours was friendly and helpful.

Excellent beer, sausage, kraut, and pretzels. Ambiance is very fitting, coupled with a view of the marina.

Horrible experience. I actually had a great lunch until the end. I was searching for the bathroom after my meal and a waitress treated me like I a homeless person intruding upon the establishment. I asked her where the bathroom was and she literally yelled at me to leave. I replied that I just finished my meal here and was looking for the rest room. I was yelled at again to leave. Embarrassing and insulting.

Great service! Really good food! Was a little skeptical about the food being on point when Miami is known more for their Spanish cuisine. Def. did not disappoint.

Absolutely love this place, if I lived close by I would be here almost every day. The beer, the food and the atmosphere is like I never left Germany. The flight of beers are amazing, the beef stew, fresh pretzel and the salad… ugh my mouth is watering… Only thing they have to figure out now is how to bring Muller, Lahm and the rest of the footballers to Miami :) Thank you for providing great food and service. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

We ate here twice during our stay in the area. Great view of the marina. Both visits were during happy hour so we had plenty of their great tasting beer to drink. We tried the pork roast and the sausage platter. Both came very fast and we’re very good. Don’t like the fact that the tip was included automatically for just two people. At least the service was good.

Decided to try this place out before heading to the Warriors game based on the great reviews from other Unilocalers. Wow. Man, oh man, was I really disappointed. I really enjoed the Bavarian Cucumber cocktail but that’s it. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel based on the photo that Beth K. uploaded. It looked BOMB. I was really bumbed out when I got my order. I thought about sending it back but didn’t want to wait. The gravy didn’t do much to hide the fact that the meat was dry and chewy. My fiancé got the Sauerbraten and said it was alright but definitely not something he has to have again. It took forever to get our drinks when we ordered with the waitress. My friend waited 15 minutes for a jack and coke and I waited 20 for a Bavarian Cucumber. I’m not sure what was going on with the communication between our server and the hostess and the bar, but it was a hot mess. Our server apologized profusely throughout our meal and on our way out. When we got our tab we were blown away by the total. Fortunately we’re thinkers and noticed that we were being charged $ 36 for a meal and $ 12 for a drink we didn’t order, with tip and tax included that was a $ 50+ mistake. We were comped a free«to go beer» but really we just wanted to leave. It wasn’t really crowded so I’m not sure what went wrong. I hope you other Unilocalers have a better experience.

Delicious German Hofbräu beer in South Florida?! Yes, please!!! Our server Andreas was friendly and professional. Our meal of pork(«MÜNCHNERSCHWEINSHAXEFÜR2PERSONEN» — crispy and tender, slow oven-roasted pork knuckle, served with dark beer sauce, pretzel dumpling and white cabbage salad) was so enormous that we had to take some home(this rarely occurs, since my husband has such a good appetite; but he was saving room for a giant pretzel for dessert). Everything was very tasty and satisfying.(In response to other reviewers, there was a tiny portion of the pork knuckle that was dry, but 90% of it was moist and tender. And OMG was this a huge piece of meat.) Note during Happy Hour: «Buy 1 Get One Free» means: if one person orders a beer, that same person receives a second beer free.(It does not mean that if I buy my beer, then my husband’s beer is free. NO. That’s NOT correct.) Not to worry! Everyone will want a second beer anyway. There’s a lot of food and the Hofbräu beer is simply scrumptious. My fave was the Hefe Weizen. Free samples of any brew are cheerfully offered in advance of committing to one. The view of the sailboats in Strictly Sail during the Miami Boat Show was terrific. Authentic décor, cheery German drinking music(could not stop Shazaming). Sparkling clean restrooms. Will definitely return!!!

They had me at GIANT pretzel. After wandering Bayside Marketplace with the family, we were hungry and needed to eat before attending an event at American Airlines arena just north of the mall. The variety of meats and spreadable cheese were good as expected. The pretzel was tasty, but eat it fast because once it gets cold it is not great. I wouldn’t recommend the desserts. But maybe I’m just not a fan of Bavarian desserts in general. Service was good until the end. The server disappeared for a really long time and we had to stand up and ask to get our check.

Ended up here randomly. The food was pretty good! The beers were delicious. And the ambiance is nice and relaxing. It isn’t as touristy as the other restaurants in the area. The serves are European. It has a very authentic feel. They include gratuity.

Came in for happy hour(HH) during a weekday to meet some friends from out of town. I believe the happy hour menu is not worth it because everything in it was fried and non– German. It was more like fast food. Beer was delicious so that was a good deal. I was so unsatisfied with what we got on HH that I decided to ask our nice waitress for any suggestions on something good to eat. She suggested the sausages and she was right! I was glad we asked. we got the Nürnberger Rostbratwurst and the Currywurst. both paired well with beer. Although I enjoyed the sausages and beer, I am not sure if I will come here again… I may if I have cravings for currywurst or someone convinces me to meet them there for dinner because my visit was not memorable for me to suggest it. They have TVs all around the restaurant and friendly staff so it could be fun during a game night.

DH and I went with friends on Saturday to celebrate his birthday. The atmosphere was warm and inviting as were the staff. Our waitress was wonderful and the manager visited our table equally as friendly. DH and I share the pork knuckle which was more than enough for two, delicious and served with the best brown gravy I have ever tasted. Friends got the weinerschnitzel and the spatzle dish from the vegetarian menu that turned out to be a German version Mac n cheese. Add to that German beer that DH used to drink when we were stationed in Germany and the best apfel strudel I’ve had in years, and this is definitely a place I will brave downtown traffic, even on a night when the Heat are playing, to eat there again! IF you have a German background you won’to be disappointed. If you are of Spanish background in Miami, the pork knuckle is wrapped in Chicharon! If you are neither but open to trying new things, this is a must!

This German restaurant in the heart of downtown was a much needed locale if you ask me. Upon walking in, will greeted by a musician singing typical German songs which is really nice. They have an outdoor seating area that is just beautiful and although you are not able to listen to the musician from outside, they play a German radio station Granted, all of the music is in English, but it was still quite enjoyable to listen to the commercials in German language! We have had more authentic German food elsewhere in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, but the food here is not bad. It was very tasty, the beer was very good, and the service was excellent. Friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back when in the area.

Located in a busy touristy mall in miami, We had knuckes, beer and sausages. Orders took at least more than 30 minutes to arrive, and when it did it was disappointing. The pig knuckles were dry and chewy, the sausages were nothing special I can get them from costco at a cheaper price. The place wasn’t even full. Service was mediocre. Pricey. Not worth the visit.
