THEHOODSPOT — Everything you can think of(as far as wanting authentic Miami-Cuban food.) DISCLAIMER: They have some of the most potent Cuban Coffee in Miami. No lie. I drink one colada by myself and sometimes get heart palpitations. Every dessert they make there is the to success. Try the pastelitos de guayaba that look like empanadas. They make them fresh everyday with menecier style dough. Their lunch menu’s are the best in the area. Everyday the plates are prepared fresh and written on the marker board. REALCHEAP! Why spend $ 20 on the same dish 2 minutes away in Brickell when you can get it for $ 7.95??? I love this place and the area is booming. Right next door they have a Walgreens and on the other side a really nice frame shop called I’ve Been Framed. If you get nice with them you can use their guest wi-fi, too. I love this bakery!

The place is legit. The customer continuously coming and non-stop. The begat with butter press is fresh. Bake goods with chicken is something that I have not tried in So Cal. The breakfast is big portion for the children. Most importantly the espresso is good and gave me a good boast. One thing is limited English in the store however patrons willing to help and assist us ordering.

The chocolate is horrible. Although I came here to try some sweet goodies with my friends, we couldn’t finish the cake. The taste of Lipton tea was anything except tea! This is what you got for cheap stuffs!!!

Yum! Great Cuban bakery! In particular the rice and beans were stunningly good. And the papas rellenas were«to die for».

We live nearby and come here at least four times a week for coffee and food. When my kitchen was being remodeled, we came every day. Their pastries are super fresh, all of the food is made to order, and the service is on point. I ordered a delicious cake for my daughter’s birthday, and it was so beautiful and moist! I also ordered a «buffet» once for work, and for less than $ 50, I got a ton of pastries for my staff to sample. I hope that this place stays in business forever! If you’re not sure what to order, here’s a quick list of my favorite items: 1. Café con Leche 2. Torrejas 3. Croquetas de pollo 4. Pastelitos de carne 5. Sándwich cubano 6. Vaca frita 7. Ropa vieja 8. Pan con bistec 9. Pastelitos de guayaba 10. Jugó de naranja natural

I can’t express how awful the service is here. I made an order yesterday for a small tray of pastelitos. 25. I told them I would be there at 8am to pick up today. I arrived at 825 and they told me that they sold my tray. I explained that I had to get my son to school and not be late and if they can please hurry. They took all the time in the world. Finished their cafesito, walk as slowly as possible, etc. I will never go there again

The best crema Catalana in Miami So amazing and rich Cuban style Good assortment of desserts The negative is the service is rude sometimes and over the phone sometimes there is no one bilingual . Check it out for the crema catalana, flan and pastries. Good prices and authentic

Another spot I’ve been going to for years. From delicious Pastelitos to their homecook style dinner items this place is awesome. Its always packed but the ladies who work there are quick to get your order and get you out. Parking is always an issue since its right on 8st and during peak traffic hours can be a hassle. My favorite thing about this place is the BREAKFAST! $ 3.75 for café con leche, tostada, fries and scrambled eggs with ham. Must try this place!

This place is amazing! I judged it walking in thinking it would be like any other latin café… I was wrong! Desserts are so so good, and the food is very tasty and for a very good price! Definitely check it out. I live on the beach but ill be coming back here for sure!

This bakery is awesome! Such delicious goodies and so cheap! Their savory treats as well as sweet pastries are all great and so is the coffee. I’m pretty sure I’ve stopped in here on my previous Miami trips as well.

Loved this bakery. I purchased 2 pastellitos and a café con leche for $ 3. WAT! The price alone is enough to keep coming back. The food is so delicious and I’ll definitely try more when I visit again.

You can’t miss a bakery or cafeteria along 8th street because calle ocho is the place to grab a café con leche on the run. Although, I’m guilty of passing this one in particular, probably near a million times. I’ve stopped by now a couple of times for their breakfast special because let’s be honest, brunches can get expensive. Not only are they fast but they take your order as you come in so be ready because they always seem busy. Be specific with your café con leche because they tend to make them dark. I also recommend their orders for pastelitos because they’re efficient and dependable.

A day trip to Miami can’t be done without a Cubano. I listened to my fellow Unilocalers and they were spot on.

Incredible. This place is basically a hole in the wall. Cheap decoration(if any), nothing is fancy looking. However, EVERYTHING is soooo DELICIOUS! Honestly has to be my favorite latin style bakery in miami. Coffee, pastries, TOAST(!!! my personal fav), sandwiches, hot plates, etc, are all amazing! Only bad thing is parking but its not even that bad. MUSTTRY!!!

This is the epitome of Cuban bakeries! No English required! This place has it all: breakfast, sandwiches, pastelitos, Cuban food, cakes and desserts. Their pastelitos, aka pastries are simply the best. I personally love their breakfast special: eggs, toast, ham or bacon, fries and coffee for less than $ 5 with tax, AWESOME! Everyday they have lunch specials that range from pan con bistec(steak sandwich) to vaca frita(shredded beef). Everything I’ve ever had there is delish and cheap! The staff is always nice and efficient. Those ladies can take like 4 orders at a time and not break a sweat! there’s also a couple of tables to sit down and enjoy the food. If you happen to be in the Little Havana area, I definitely recommend this little spot.

So, this is my bakery near work and I go all the time. ALLTHETIME. I take out breakfast, snacks, and lunch. Everything is good from the cheese pastelitos and croquetas, to the tostadas and ham and cheese toasted croissant sandwich. The bizcochos, cuban éclair de caramelo, capuchinos(no, not the coffee but the almivar drenched cake), and torticas de moron are yummy. And they know how to make really good coffee.
