Got the check at the same time as the food, like they wanted me to leave. After tasting the food, I did. It was as bad as the service.

For $ 300, my girlfriend and I got the used-car-lot treatment. Horrible service, they were very sleazy/misleading and did everything to rack up the bill. Food is very unimpressive and overpriced.

I never complain. I’ve worked service industry before and always offer the benefit of thedoubt. I received the worst service ever here. The server barely spoke English. He got our order wrong and mixed up our bill with other patrons. He didn’t charge my credit card correctly,(multiple times. Ultimately I was still charged twice. The management offered no apologies.

My husband and I stopped here after we were handed a promotional card. I usually don’t succumb to things like this being a marketer myself, but the menu looked great and the special was only $ 10 for lunch. There were also bogo drinks. I ordered the mussels which were good, not great, but the portion was huge so no real complaints considering it was only $ 10. Our drinks were awesome, but ended up really spiking up our bill. $ 16 or something close for one drink(next one free). The patio was pretty right on the street with lots of shade and misters which seemed to be the standard in this part of town. Nice interesting modern furniture, but again seemed standard in this area. Go though, I would recommend it.

On Tuesday afternoon this place was a 4, but when I returned on Thursday night, this place barely deserved a 1. Once we got past the carnival barkers offering«20% off dinner and 2 for 1 drinks,» we had a mediocre meal, then the waitress«forgot» to apply the 20% discount. When I checked the receipt for the Tuesday meal, I realized that they«forgot» to deduct 20% from the meal on Tuesday(which was part of the hook to get us to sit down to begin with). Two lessons learned: if you decide to eat there, do it at lunch(different chef), and check your bill! BTW, the happy hour drinks are $ 19 a piece!

I didnt realize that eating in south beach was going to be like walking in the mall and having those annoying cell phone people try to harass you to buy a phone. Yeahhhh– eating was like that in south beach. Everywhere you walked there were people hustlin’ just to get you to eat at their restaurant. wtf? weird. Anyway– well since i cant review all the restaurants i had delicious fine dining food at(because of Unilocal policies) I only have a few places i can review on Unilocal. This place was by far my favorite(aside from the one’s i cant name). We sat inside and decided to just act like normal girls from LA and avoid people watching like everyone else was doing. Food was awesome and our waiter was this older gentleman. I cant remember his name, but i just wanted to squeeze him because he was simply just sooo sweet. Very attentive and sweet. But if you come to south beach come eat here :)

Café Victor is a new Italian restaurant in the beautiful Hotel Victor on Ocean Drive. It replaces the former restaurant Vix and adds a new expanded patio and terrace seating on the street and a new menu mostly made up of Italian cuisine. Enjoy la dolce vita when you dine al fresco on delicacies such as Beef carpaccio, prosciutto di parma, paired with a nice glass of chianti. For dessert, I recommend the Vanilla Panna Cotta. Now any South Beach evening can feel like summer night in Tuscany — save on the trip to Europe, but do expect a big tab.
