Worst customer service ever. These people really only care for money. I will never come back here ever again.

One of my favorite concert venues in South FL, and definitely the best one in Miami. Visited the venue last night with my girlfriend to see the band Bush and I had an amazing time. The acoustics were great, and there were a ton of spots to purchase beer and liquor, including right by the stage, allowing me to watch the show while I’m waiting in line. The inside of the venue is also very nicely decorated. This wasn’t the first time I’ve visited this venue. I’ve seen multiple artists here and I can’t name one negative experience. Parking was also not an issue. Found a parking lot right next door that had plenty of spots and I only paid about $ 8 to park for 4 hours or so. All in all, both me and my girlfriend had an amazing time and we can’t wait to be back. I hope more good artists select this venue more often.

Came to see Tori Kelly. Venue was nice. Cool vibe and décor. Super easy to get tickets at the box office. Paid a $ 5 service, but was still cheaper than online. The pit area is cool to stand in but you can only see if you’re right up front. No problem though because you can see pretty well from almost any seat. I liked that there were bars inside so you don’t have to miss any part of the show to get a drink. A little pricy, but that’s to be expected. Bathrooms were clean and quick to get to. The chandeliers are really cool. The sound went out during the show, but I’m not sure if that was a house problem or not. My only criticism is that some of the front of house staff was rude. I know they want to clear the venue when the show is over, but it’s not necessary to yell and be nasty.

Great place in terms of architecture and the proximity that it allows the audience to get to the artists. Old school theater feel also adds to the atmosphere. However, what to say about the drink prices? Felt robbed at gunpoint paying $ 12 for a plastic cup of draft beer. The only downside to the place, but a big one in my humble opinion. Reduce drink prices and the venue will get a 5-star review from me, hehe.

Beautiful facility to enjoy the Gary Clark Jr concert. General admission ticket offered lots of standing areas and plenty of seating(great for any girl wearing heels). Valet was $ 20 and didn’t have cash. Two ATMs inside didn’t work and had to rush over to CitiBank across the street to pick up my car(valet guys were very nice).

Live more. At the Fillmore. I could write a dissertation on how much I love this venue, but I will stick to what is hopefully a concise and honest and objective review. That said, how else on Miami Beach would a classy and trendy and hipster and classic venue otherwise operate that perfectly. There is not a lot more they could do aside from giveaway tickets, and if you are in the know(I am not), I am sure you could work that too. From the classic look outside to the chandeliers and red velvet interior inside the main room, the place is just a gem. As you walk into the lobby, after being frisked a little, this of course for safety, you are whisked away to what seems like a classic but up to date hotel lobby with full bars as you walk ahead, and then move through to either the food spot areas or the escalators to take you further up. If you opt to sit on the main level then you pass all this, walk through posters and billboards from classic and recent amazing performances, until you make your walk to the main concert hall. The temperature is always perfect and the sounds is fantastic. Truth being told, the place is really more like a giant theater, with the type of seating that most of the auditorium is equipped with, however the«pit» area can also be as such or they can add chairs and make the setting more of «sit down» for operatic types of shows or whatever the case may be. When the show is general admission and not sold out, once can feel free to move about and find the perfect seat; this is not difficult as there really is no bad seat in the house. My only gripe would be if one is way in the back of the up top area, a spoken artist or comedian may not come through so perfectly, as we learned over a year ago when we saw comedian and talk show host, Bill Maher. Otherwise, I have only the best things to say. Oh, and two tips for you. Park in the lots near and close by if you arrive with time to spare, as the parking rate will be minimal, and also, keep an eye out for a man who looks identical to Keith Richards; I kid you not, this guy is amazing and might even have a goodie to give way if you are real nice. Cheers and rock on!

This is my favorite concert venue and here’s why: 1. Super clean bathrooms 2. Close parking garages that only charge $ 1 offer hour 3. Theater style seating, and it’s cozy 4. Proximity to stage, if you choose the standing area, you can actually get very close to the stage. YES there are seating options. 5. Inside venue with good ac, very important for south Florida 6. Overall cleanliness, the place always looks good and has maintained a beautiful art deco design 7. They usually have fun theme named drinks based on the concert you’re attending 8. Awesome location, the best dining options are all close because you’re in the heart of south beach right by Lincoln road

I attended a Chucho Valdes concert at the Fillmore/Jackie Gleason Theater on Saturday, 11/14/2015. It was the only time I’ve been here so I know it’s a small sample size. From what I experienced, The Fillmore was a nice place to watch a concert. The night I was there, security was extra tight because the Paris terrorists attacks had recently occurred and there was a heightened sense of awareness. Security did their jobs with as little inconvenience as possible. And the ushers were the best I’ve ever seen at any concert I’ve attended. They were an all-black staff and were polite and very attentive. The guy who ushered me to my seat talked to me as if he knew me while staying professional the whole while. Yes, during the show they sometimes briefly turned on those little flashlights but it was only to help some of the late arriving concertgoers find their seats. The venue is small but that’s just right for me. Concerts are so much better at a place of this size because the setting is more intimate and the acoustics were grand. It was packed and I didn’t see a bad seat in the house. I was on the lower level in the orchestra section so I have no idea what the balcony is like. The aisles were narrow but I didn’t really notice it until some guy kept getting up from his seat and going back and forth during the show, seemingly oblivious to the fact that every time he did this people had to stand up or lean uncomfortably to the side so he could get past. There’s always one, isnt there? But the show itself was awesome! If you’ve never seen Chucho Valdes and his band Irakere live, you’re missing a style of musicianship that’s extremely rare nowadays. Their style is of a bygone era where musicians actually knew how to play instruments. Chucho’s instrument is the piano and he’s a virtuoso, standing about six foot six with huge hands and fingers the size of bananas. He plays forcefully, yet often so fast that his hands are but a blur to the human eye. He’s the senior bandleader while the rest of his current group consists of young Afro Cuban prodigies. If you have a chance to see them in concert, do yourself a favor and check them out. It’s latin jazz at its finest. Forgive me, but I hope my review hasn’t been compromised by how much I enjoyed the show. From my one experience at the Fillmore I cannot think of much to gripe about. Even though I got there early, the lights were still kind of dim so I couldn’t really tell just how clean it was. All I know is what matters: I thoroughly enjoyed attending a concert here.

What has happened to this place? It’s dirty, it stinks, your shoes stick to the floor from the layers of vomit and alcohol, the acoustics/sound are horrible, the«security staff» allow everyone to run to the front even though those lowlifes don’t actually have front row tickets, I could go on and on. Unless you will literally DIE if you don’t go see your chosen artist, skip this nasty cesspool of humanity.

BOOOOO!!! BOOOO!!! BOOOO!!! Shame on you Fillmore. You’ve taken otherwise upgraded seats and turned them into coach class seats with the comfort and class of Spirit Airlines. I have more leg room on an local transit bus. The theater in a move of inspired efficiency has removed the traditional theater seats and replaced them with padded folding chairs. The spacing between rows places the back of the person in from firmly on my knees. I’m not a tall man. My feet are considered small by most adult male standards; yet, my heel touches my chair and my shoe tip touches the row in front. I’ll say it again: BOOOOOO!!! We shan’t be back.

*3.5 Stars*Live music venues are one of my favorite types of place to visit. Having seen well over 200 live shows, there are so many to compare. I have seen quite a few acts at the Fillmore including Girl Talk, Chris Cornell, Purity Ring, and(most recently) The NBHD. So first off, patrons need to know that The Fillmore has a theater type of setup, with a front seating section that has removeable seats(when the seats are removed this becomes the GA Floor) and mezzanine seating upstairs. The venue itself is pretty large and can accomodate quite a few people. The GOOD: It’s in Miami Beach, decent sized crowds can fit inside comfortably, there are bars EVERYWHERE in this joint, parkimg is pretty close by and usually runs 3 to 4 bucks for the time you would be at the show. Techs here are relatively quick with set changes. The BAD: This place has had some sound issues for the past few years or at least as long i have been going to shows here. Since I have heard the same. problem over the course of four years or so, i tend to think the issue is with the venue, not the artists. Sometimes the ticketing is jacked up and a GA ticket will not allow you to sit in the mezzanine section. Drinks are rediculously priced and an obvious gouge. No cup or bottle holders on those seats you just dropped 50(or more) bones on. The UGLY: Shows seems to clip early at this place, I was going to mention the rude staff, but there is a huge difference between the jerks who were working the floor three years ago compared to some pretty nice ushers who are there now, also it’s in Miami Beach. At the end of the day, it’s a nice place to see a show, but with a few changes, I think it could be far better.

By far the Fillmore is one of my favorite venues for performances and that is attributed not only to its very intimate setting but also to its prime location in the heart of Miami Beach. In a venue with a seating capacity of less than 3k you can’t help but feel this place is cozy. They have full service liquor stands disbursed throughout the main areas– to the left, right and center as well as food stations. The theater underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in 2007 and is absolutely beautiful. It’s art deco-ish on the outside and the inside boasts deep reds, large chandeliers and a rich feeling of culture and history. Parking has never been a problem for me– they offer valet for $ 15 and there’s a parking garage that is literally right across the street from it as well as metered parking if you get there early enough. If your preference is dinner before or after the show-you’re only about a two minute walk from Lincoln Road. Huge names don’t always venture to the Fillmore just because of its limited capacity, but if you happen to see one or it’s a personal fave of yours on that performance list– book it quick! The Fillmore sells out fast. On that note– I was surprised to see Nick Jonas will be there later this month… and I hear he’s pretty big in the teenage girl world so again– check out their performance schedule as often as you can so you don’t miss a good opportunity.

I admit I was skeptical when I heard that Live Nation was taking over the Jackie Gleason Theater and renaming it The Fillmore. My first thought was that they were going to destroy the legacy of Jackie Gleason one of Miami’s greatest champions. I was also concerned that they were destroying the legacy of the historic Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco and Bill Graham the most important concert promoter of the Rock n Roll era. I was expecting a lot of people to be rolling over in a lot of graves. But, that was way back in 2007. The renovations enhanced both legacies and since then I have spent countless memorable evenings in one of the best venues in South Florida. The sound and lighting is always excellent and the large stage allows for bands to include whatever production & staging they are traveling with. The Miami Fillmore replicates the trademark chandeliers of the the San Francisco original. They also have the traditional«Blue Shirt» security guards with their good-natured but firm attitude that leads to great fan service. Another tradition that seemed to carry over was the free concert poster that is given out as you exit the San Fran Fillmore. This used to be common at the Miami location(often distributed by a local Kieth Richards doppelgänger) but I have not seen them lately and that is a disappointment. The venue capacity is 2,700 but through multiple configurations and curtains they can drop it down to what I would estimate at 1200. This allows the venue to look pretty full no matter what artist is booked and for the artist to not be depressed looking out at a sea of empty chairs. The lower level can be open general admission platforms or fully seated. The flexibility in size and function allows the Fillmore to book a wide variety of shows from punk rock to comedy and ultimately it is the bookings that makes the venue and not the other way around. When they do the GA Standing only levels it is the first three sections which takes up the lower half of the venue. Behind that there is also seats that are also general admission too. This gives you the option of getting up close if you want to stand or hanging back in the seats if that is more your speed. There is also a balcony that is sometimes GA, sometimes reserved, and sometimes VIP only. I find that the balcony overhang is pretty far back and even if you want to sit down you are better off downstairs. Within the GA standing levels the pit level closest to the stage is the most mysterious. It is capacity controlled by security on both sides. If you are among the first to arrive they will let regular people into the pit and after a certain point they will only allow VIPs in. This point must be based on some sort of logic but I have never been able to figure it out. It does mean that if you are able to get into the pit then you will not be crushed because security never lets it get too full. The South Beach location is pretty far from Broward and even farther from Palm Beach. They tend to start shows late which can make the traffic a bit easier to deal with but getting out after midnight makes for a late drive home. The South Beach location also makes for some great food and drink options before and after the show(but you’re on Unilocal so you already know this). Considering the prime South Beach location the parking for the venue is not too bad. I prefer to use the large Lincoln Road garage across 17th St. It is pretty safe and they charge a reasonable $ 1 per hour. Traffic out of the lot can get backed up after big shows so a little extra time and consideration of your spot on the way in can save you time on the way out.

I’ve seen concerts, DJs, and comedy shows here, and somehow, this seemingly small space, it accommodates all three just fine. I don’t know how they do it, but the staff manipulates the venue in such a way to make for a good time regardless of what you’re seeing. What I most love about coming here is that it’s not some overbearing arena or stadium. I’m not sure if you understand what I mean, but I guess that, going to the American Airlines Arena or Joe Robbie(it’ll always be Joe Robbie to me), what you’re getting is this brash monument to architectural one-upsmanship. Who can build it bigger and flashier. Who can more deftly swindle the local government into building a spaceship of a monstrosity for a low-class organization.(Let’s go, Marlins!) The Fillmore is just a small, elegant venue whose value isn’t measured in how many times the concrete used in its construction can wrap around the planet. The drinks are fairly priced(for the beach, for a concert venue), and the location, it’s perfect. There’s a public garage just across the way, so parking is inexpensive, and you can enjoy Lincoln before or after your show.

This theater is a true landmark. A great venue for concerts and comedy shows, because it’s not a huge theater you always get good seats, letting you enjoy any show you’re there to enjoy. I’ve been there a couple of times and I always had a great time. They also have a couple of bars that offer from beer to tequila as well as a snack bar that offers your regular«movie theater» snacks, hot dogs, pizza and chicken tenders. This time I went twice in a week because it was the South Beach Comedy Festival, we saw Patton Oswalt one night and came back again for Dave Chapelle, both performances were super funny but I must say my favorite was Dave Chapelle’s. He is STILL the best!!! The ushers at this theater were very polite but I have to confess my biggest complaint is that as soon as the show starts they are like Hawks, harassing you if they think you’re on your phone, I get you’re in the theater and trust me I don’t like people on their phones while a show is going on either but DANG!!! I wanted at least one pic that would document my experience. The only photo I got doesn’t look great and on top of that that guy with the«perfect arms» messed it up LOL All in all is a great place to enjoy a more intimate performance.

Visited The Fillmore this past weekend for the South Beach Comedy Festival. The venue was easy to locate, clean, and well stocked with available bartenders. The show we attended wasn’t overly packed, which made for more of an intimate setting with the comedian. Drinks were outrageously priced of course($ 18 for a double), but we had expected that going into it, so we weren’t surprised. Bathrooms remained clean throughout the night, which is always a bonus! While it was a bit of a drive for me, I would say it is a good venue!

I came to see Lana del Rey on a Sunday evening and I experienced the most disorganized way to enter a venue… I arrived 2 hours before the doors opened and the line was a few blocks long. This is really irrelevant mainly because the doors opened and everybody ran upfront defeating the purpose of a line… It took about 90 mins to get in and that’s because I ran towards the entrance with the crowd! I saw two security guards at each door and the personnel in charge of printing the tickets(it was a credit card only event). The people printing the tickets were very incompetent and didn’t know how to operate the machine to print the tickets. I loved the concert once I was inside… The restrooms are very outdated and the drink prices are reasonable — $ 10 for wine and $ 5 water. I had the greatest idea when I arrived to the venue to valet my car. Don’t if you want to leave right away! Instead of waiting, I went to have a drink around Lincoln Rd and when I came back my car was parked at the entrance, so that was a win!

Love the intimate setting at the Fillmore. I’ve been here for concerts, comedy shows, and ballet performances. Always have a great time and an enjoyable experience. Last night’s Lana Del Rey show was one for the books! The venue is nicely kept and even in last night’s sold out show never felt crowded.

Wow. What a beautiful place. I’ve been waiting anxiously to go here just so I could see inside. Of course, I wanted to see an amazing act but that’s beside the point. The Fillmore has such an old charm, but with a nicely updated flare. It’s reminiscent of a classic theater, but yet is not dingy, dirty or outdated in the least. What’s great is there are seats for those of you who are sitters and there is a large standing room(general admission) area for those of who you prefer to be up close and standing next to your favorite perform. For me, I love the two bars. One on each end of the venue. The sound is amazing. The acoustics are great. The staff is very friendly and of course I have to make sure the bathroom’s are clean(which they were). Definitely a great place to see a concert. I can’t wait to go back.
