The dirtiest Pollo Tropical in history. Welcome to the land of no-clean tables inside and pigeons’ crap on the tables outside.

I’ve been to most Pollo Tropical places in Miami if not all and I always get the Caribbean chicken soup and this location has been the best one thus far and the most consistent one when in comes to the flavor and the quality and even though they get very busy, they’re pretty quick at this location.

Salmonella Lovers Unite! If you want nonstop diarrhea for weeks, just come here and order some chicken. Trust me! Your insides will decompose accordingly! Not only are they super slow but additionally only have like three workers taking care of the orders… that’s why it takes forever and a year to get anything served. My white rice was old, cold, and clumpy. The chicken breast was obviously RAW! The Yuca Bites were undercooked. They didn’t even put dressing on my Caesar Salad(with one croûton). Seriously? I know we’re in SoBe but there’s no need to have this pigsty of an eatery. It’s ridiculously disgusting by the Salsa bar and people also seem to loiter here too. The whole scene is weird. I’d rather pay a few more bucks for actually cooked chicken down the street. NEVERAGAIN!

The food was great! My bae has been talking about this place since we arrived to Miami. She knew exactly where to go. Yet the customer service from the old dark skin lady was some shit! Very rude & nasty. She needs more training or preferably a NEWJOB! The manager her name is Yzamin was awesome though! She definitely HELPEDMEWITH A SMILE! All in All a 3.5

Good food and very reasonably priced. The TropiChop reminds me of a Chipotle burrito bowl, although I’m not sure what kinds of ingredients they use or where it’s from. Rice(brown, white, or yellow) + beans + veggies(peppers, onions, etc) + meat(chicken or pork). And yummy salsas/sauces. The cilantro-lime sauce is good. The chicken was grilled and not overcooked.

Good regional fast food Tropichop is the signature dish and comes in a lot of variations Boiled yuca is my fave side dish The bone-in chicken is juicy The pork is tender But the high point is the salsa bar… Good luck trying to pick just one or two They are all delicious

It’s pollo tropical so the food is good but this is the longest, slowest location in Miami. Usually just 1 cashier working during the lunch rush and it’s an easy 20 – 30 min wait in line and 10 – 15 wait for food. Don’t come here if you’re looking a quick meal

2.5 Stars. My friend and I went to PT for a quick lunch and we ordered in about 3 to 5 minutes and the food was adequate considering it was fast food. They ran out of their famous curry sauce and the station was in decent shape. The crew was doing their job. However, the line went to 17 people including the people ordering. The quality and taste of the food could be better. Top management needs to keep trying to improve the ordering time and taste of the food.

I really have no idea why I keep going back to this location. They are all very nice but other then that there is not much to say. I’m sure they are busy but every time I go, the team gives the impression that they don’t want to work. Curry mustard is my favorite sauce… Today they had none. When asked for some I was told they were making it. Once given the sauce per my request from the drive thru line it looked like there was a national shortage of curry mustard. I’ll post a picture. I’m excited to see a chicken kitchen opening across the street.

Shhhh this is one of my guilty pleasures! Took me a long time to get the courage to review this place! Ok, it is a lifesaver! Come on! Home cooking open late, drive thru… Tk God it’s close to my house! The black beans and rice ave very similar to the home cooking style food I grew up eating in Brazil! And they are usually very quick, feels like it’s my housekeeper’s cooking(yeah nobody’s moms cook in Brazil; we are all raised by nannies and housekeepers lol!) mixed with McDonalds serving speed! I’ve been coming to this location for almost 15 years now! Only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because sometimes there are items missing from the menu in the early evenings… well I guess nobody’s perfect right?

So when we got here, I was informed it was a Cuban version of El Pollo Loco. I was excited to see that there were so many different sauces that we can dip our food into. First, the person taking our order was very unpleasant. It was our first time there and she was very unhelpful. She had a sour face on, and when we ordered, she said no. She didn’t even tell us how we were ordering incorrectly. Just no. So when I ordered again, she pointed at the menu and said, which one? I guess I was ordering a combo, and I had to clarify which combo. But still. so rude. Then when I got the food, I was disappointed. The chicken, which is what they are known for, was extremely dry. No wonder there are so many dipping sauces. At least El Pollo Loco has juicy chicken. I was excited about Cuban food, but this is not the place to get it. It was a fast food chain, and it isn’t a good one either. I wouldn’t be coming back.

We were surprise how good the food was for a «fast food» type of place. The food is not only good but it is pretty healthy compared to other«Fast Foods». This place is very conveniently located for us as we live at the Flamingo South Beach. We can easily walk there. The price for 2 adults and 2 kids is just a little more than Mac Donald’s but the food is healthier. Real salads and skinless chicken are options. I would recommend this place as a healthier fast food alternative. The only issue is that the parking is tiny and the drive-thru is difficult for larger cars.

Horrible and slow service. They always ran out of chicken. The line workers, including the manager, are crass and surly. I know it’s a fast food place, and most of the time the only healthier option after the gym. If we could have another option we wouldn’t be caught there. They are all miserable and exhausted. How sad for the brand that probably spends millions in order to continue growing their company.

10 of my friends ate here and I arrived late, saw their food, and decided to go across the street to Panera. This place reminds me of el pollo loco in San Diego. except with super dry chicken that looks scary.

Where else can you get lunch for $ 4 and change(and be full), without feeling like you consumed 1,200 calories? Feeling hungry after a friend stood me up for lunch, I hesitated coming here due to the construction madness on Alton Road. Stupid me, I came anyway instead of grabbing some shorts and a tee and walking over, or driving to the Pollo location in Edgewater. Getting here by car was a mission, due to traffic being diverted to West Avenue as Alton’s all torn up due to construction and installation of the water pumps. Ordeal over, I tried parking in their lot, but they have a measly 12 spots or so, and there was nowhere to park, so drive-thru it was. Okay, I can live with that. The girl at the drive-thru had a bit of a smart alecky attitude when I asked if she had included the sauces I requested. She just nodded and kind of raised her eyebrows at me. My bad. I didn’t hear you tell the other employee to include sauce in the bag. I said«thank you» and«have a nice day» and didn’t hear anything back from her. Okay, bad day, we all have them. I drove home and although my order was correct(yay!), the chicken quarter looked like a cornish hen’s quarter because it was so dry and reheated so the meat had shrunk down, rather than being fresh, juicy and plump. I was about to give this place 3 stars until I saw the chicken. It was a bit ridiculous. Also, 75% of my soda was ice. Very messed up that I essentially, paid for less than half a cup of soda and could not get refills and on top of it, was being bamboozled with the illusion of a full cup thanks to the ice. Plastic eating utensils were not included either. The Silver Bluff location gives you tons of sauce, styrofoam plates, and plasticware, all without asking. Why can’t all locations be this organized?

Pollo Tropical is a great option for a fast, somewhat healthy meal for very, very reasonable prices. But the location on South Beach leaves a lot to be desired. Let’s start with the positives — free parking, a drive-through, and filling meals for under $ 10. But unfortunately for this location, the negatives abound. It’s just pretty much gross on the inside. There’s a ton of people working there, but the place is never clean. The salsa bar — home to all their awesome sauces(curry mustard, guava BBQ, cilantro garlic and more!) — is a downright mess. The pump-serve containers are half-empty, which results in more messiness as you try to grab some for your meal. For the containers that are just open in general — just, no. On my most recent visit, the yellow rice in my Tropi-Chop was clumpy and mushy, and it was just an overall unsatisfying mess. If I ever return to this Pollo Tropical, it will only be due to an urgent need for a quick, cheap meal.

Drive thru is convenient on the go. And if you absolutely cannot leave your car you have drive thru. There is also indoor seating although if you sit there long enough you may smell like roasted chicken after. Its basically Spanish fast food but its better quality than mc donalds, BKOR taco bell. At the counter you can see probably 100 whole chickens turning on those roasters(i think that’s what they are called) cooking slowly… and the chicken is made the same day you eat it. What do they have you ask: chicken, mojo pork(shredded pork), rice, black beans, yucca, fries, sweet plantains, soda. I mean basically a typical Hispanic dish. They do have wraps and sandwiches as well but no beef. I would compare it to a chicken kitchen except its more Latin. I recommend the curry mustard sauce! if you are into that sort of thing! 3STARS– because for quick, easy food its great. but its still just a step above fast food. You can feed a family of 4 – 5 easily for about 20 – 25 $. SO… need to eat quickly? on a budget? and in the mood to stay in your p. j’s? this is the spot.

The food is too good to be fast food! I got the grilled chicken sandwich drenched with curry mustard. The lettuce on the sandwich is fresh… oooof! Sooo good! When I’m in Miami, this is my go to spot!
