New Era Flagship Store

After a long week I wanted to take a few minutes and head to a local hat shop and grab a baseball hat. For the last 10 or more years I try to grab a baseball hat from a local team every time I visit a new destination.
I can get the NFL, NHL and MLB teams anywhere but I wanted something a little less known. When I walked in I was greeted by several smiling faces asking how my day was and reminding me they were there to help if I needed them!
The store has a wall of all the main FL teams which I thought was nice for visitors. Also, the had a New Era store exclusive for Miami. Interesting concept. Employee mentioned not every store gets an «exclusive city hat» but it was cool to see. Not my taste but would be a cool collectors item for any New Era fan.
I had glanced at a different hat and explained I liked that it was local but really wanted a local team hat to take home and represent. One of the guys smiled, his eyes lit up and he said «follow me.» He took me to a side wall and pulled a drawer out. Inside lay a treasure trove of hidden local teams. The employee pulled out an awesome blue hat with a For Myers Miracle team logo. It’s an «M» with a palm tree. It’s a minor league team in FL with a pretty iconic Miami themed logo. This is just the type of souvenir I seek on every trip. My head is pretty small (7 ¹⁄₈ or 7 ¼) so the hunt was on to find it. I swear he checked the entire store trying to find me one. Just as we almost lost faith he found one! The chorus of applause sounded in my head and his and I smiled. A glance in the mirror and the deal was done.
I paid as we chatted about where I was from. He said to drop by anytime i’m in town and he will find me more local gems.

Their customer service is great. I loved that they were able to adjust the fitted hats. Also, for $ 5 a year they will adjust and clean your hats.
