This is probably one of the places with the best view ever, but you can’t say the same for the service. Too bad.

Credit where credit is due, the food here has gotten really quite good and seems to be every improving and developing. It’s clean, healthy, nicely presented and delicious. We recently had the crispy artichokes and they were perfection. The raw, vegan«lasagna» was not only clever, but very tasty, way surpassing our expectations. Simply put, having some drinks and small bites here is a very pleasurable experience indeed.

Tons of other options that put this place to shame. Food, views and service are better at Flanagans, Montys, Duffys and Shuckers. But, if you’re looking for high prices and pretentiousness, Lido is the place for you.

Place is great but the food and service are simply terrible! I don’t understand why they don’t get a real chef and a real pro team for this place! Change also the wine list there nothing interesting to drink! Been there three or four times times in the past months and now it’s more than enough I really can’t go back there! I keep being disappointed every time!

The biggest asset for this restaurant is its outdoor dining area view is the bay, Miami beach, and downtown. All the seating is outdoor, and just about any table has a good view. Obviously with such a setup, pay attention to the weather before going out there. Nice music background and staff is pleasant. Food is average(maybe slightly above average). But again, you get the view and atmosphere. This restaurant is part of the ‘The Standard’ hotel property. You don’t need to be staying at the hotel to eat at the restaurant.

The view is amazing, the vibe is fantastic. The food however, is not impressive… I think I will just come back for the drinks…

That view, though. Lido is almost impossible to find, nestled in the back of the Standard Hotel through a maze of trees, bushes, and hammocks(non-banana kind). It’s hidden for a good reason, as it takes that long to trek through hotel property in order to reach an amazing view of Biscayne Bay. It’s a five-star view that means Lido doesn’t have to put full effort into its menu. Which it doesn’t. The food is fine. There’s a sparse menu with little rhyme or reason, basically a medley of dishes thrown down that are easy enough to source and cook. The food isn’t bad by any means, but it’s entirely forgettable. But let’s be honest. You’re here for the views while dining al fresco. Admire it.

I was here about a year ago and food was okay but the relaxing atmosphere and the view were exceptional. So I decided to come here on Sunday for brunch and called to make a reservation to which I was explained that reservations are not required. However when I showed up there with my friend a guy at the hostess stand kept repeating that they were fully committed and refused to sit us despite apparent 80% empty tables. There was no sorry and no attempt to keep us there just annoyance that we even showed up. So guess what, I’m never stepping my foot into this place again. And thanks to Lido’s host hospitality we ended up at Smith and Wollensky where we received an exceptional welcome, great service, delicious food and VIP seating by the water.

We came here for lunch & dinner as we were staying at the standard hotel for the weekend. That being said, I did not enjoy lunch or dinner. If I had to choose between the two I’d say dinner and that choice being kind of hard because they both sucked. Drinks, I had to return my drink twice because they weren’t consistent in making any of the drinks. First I ordered a sangria and it was probably the worst sangria I’ve ever had(not refreshing at all), then I switched it for a lido lemonade and I stuck to that all day, then the next day I ordered the lido lemonade again and it was good, but after the second round the lemonade had turned into cranberry juice and vodka. Therefore, they are not consistent at making their drinks at all… I also noticed this when I ordered the«avocado and kale» smoothie, the first day I ordered it, it was delicious second day it was delicious too but it tasted like a completely different drink than the one I had the previous day. For dinner I had a turkey burger, which was pretty decent for a turkey burger. Hummus dip(don’t waste your money), and ceviche(pretty good, can’t complain). Then for lunch the next day, I had the kale salad and common it’s pretty hard to mess up a kale salad. Well they did. This was the worst kale salad I’ve ever had in my life and I’m not very picky when it comes to kale salads. My boyfriend had the beef sliders and those were pretty decent. However, the place is beautiful and the view is magnificent. Definitely a must try if you want to splurge on a nice scenery with below decent food.

Everything here was great, from the view to the service to the food. The servers were nice, well mannered and very attentive. The food is extremely fresh. We stayed for hours talking and laughing and didn’t even realize that 4 hours had gone by. The day to night transition was beautiful. We went on a Thursday night and the crowd was nice– busy enough to create an ambiance, but not too packed. Can’t wait to come back with my hubby. Note: they have a lot of hang out spots and a fire pit to hang out before/afterwards.

A+++++++ Service. Waterfront seafood dining for folks with an above average budget. A friend invited me to dinner and he ordered a bottle of the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru, Jean-Marc Pillot 2008, the Char Grilled Octopus with white bean and artichoke salad, and the Pan Roasted Crab Cake with remoulade and cabbage slaw. The food was delicious, our table was next to the water, the atmosphere was fun with a movie playing by the pool, and a cloudless sky was adorned by a Cheshire cat moon. All of it contributed to the positive experience, but what really made this a great experience was the service. These are the times I wish I remembered our server’s name so I could specifically accolade him for fantastic service. The best part of my dining experience was deciding on a wine. I’m not Californian, Chilean or French, so my wine knowledge is limited. But, my Northern California dining companion is and happens to *know* wines. Our server knew what to recommend, why and articulated it beautifully. The wine we decided on was divine. Plus, our server was on point with service(he didn’t check in on us every 5 seconds but didn’t also forget about us) and with his overall professional and warm disposition. Fantastic. When you decide to go know this: No self-parking on the premises, just valet parking, the nearest public parking is across the bridge. I hear Sunday brunch is nice as well as just to hang out by the pool into the evening hours. The first Sunday of the month the hotel hosts«Not Your Standard Bingo» night.

Solid spot for a long lunch with friends and enjoying the top notch view. Though I found the portion small and expensive, I enjoyed my chargrilled octopus. I also had a bite of someone’s raw vegan lasagna — wow. A small dish, but expertly constructed and absolutely captures the taste of «real» lasagna. This is something I never would have thought to order, but will if I return some time. The chef really did an uncanny job on this dish. It would be the«must order» for me even though I’m no vegan and no raw food fan. Service was earnest and attentive, but also amateurish(i.e., a lot of dancing around the table waiting to fill water glasses but not wanting to interrupt). Didn’t really bother me, but a bit odd. It took an extremely long time for food to come out. Thankfully we were not starving and our purpose was to hang out with friends and have a leisurely dinner outside. So not a problem. But someone else could have easily been annoyed. A final note: I was a bit unhappy that with many open tables, and our reservation, we were nonetheless made to wait for our entire party to arrive before we could be sat.

This was a good place to relax during lunch. I enjoyed the view but the food was meh. If you are looking for better quality food I would recommend another place. However, the ambience is casual and relaxing. The prices are reasonable.

Our server had our orders mixed up. All good though. The sliders my friends ordered weren’t as good as our last visit. My huevos rancheros was quite good. Their thin fries are always good. Be sure to reserve a table –and even then you may still have to wait, esp wknds and peak hours.

This is one of the most poorly run restaurants I’ve been to in a while. It’s a shame because the view and ambiance is fantastic. We arrived and were told the wait would be 2 – 3 minutes for a couple. It took 45 minutes, and about half the tables were empty. We literally waited longer than it would have taken us to eat. The food was so-so. There are strong vegan options, so I liked that. If they replace the hostess and restaurant manager I’d potentially give this place 5 starts. Until then…

The service standards have really gone down here since I last came. I understand the concept of a wait list but they won’t even seat people bc kitchen is backed up and we are roasting in the sun(and have already ordered food while back). The front male host was so rude to me just now when I inquired why we could not sit down if they were not seating anymore since we have already been in and ordered.

The view is very lovely and worth coming for the average dinner. Entrée menu was short. I expected more from food. It was just ok. A friend of mine ordered Milanese chicken and said it was overcooked and had no taste. I had octopus which was good. The bread pudding was very delicious and enough for 5 of us. Service was kind of slow, but we enjoyed the view and company so we did not complain. Server assistant Bright was very attentive and positive.

Um… Yum. Skip breakfast… that would be like 2 stars… BUT for lunch do it!!! The view is killer and with the menu offerings, its a great combination. Every course I tried I enjoyed, I cannot wait to return and try more. Maybe dinner next time? I wish I remembered what I ordered but I don’t… looks like i will have to return for lunch so I can update this review! And maybe even add on a dinner review!
