I came here in a time pinch before leaving town and because it is walking distance to my apt. If you are looking for an upscale experience or atmosphere, head down the street and you’ll have plenty of options. If you ARE looking for great prices and quick service this is a great option. I was having a day where I didn’t want to chit chat or get pampered, just get the job done. I was happy with my product driven experience.
I had two weddings to attend a week apart so I got a Shellac Mani and Spa Pedi to hold my color over. The salon is run by a brother/​sister duo with some other help and they cover nail/​hair services. Not the most friendly people but they get the job done. My Shellac Mani came first and I went with a neutral light pink. I thought she made pretty good time and moved me onto the pedi. I was SO happy to be seated in the large comfy spa chairs, that are a rarity here in Miami. I mentioned that these chairs really make the experience for and is super relaxing as opposed to having feet in a small wash dish, bleh. She said that only SPA pedicures are in these chairs and include leg massage and callus removal. Regular pedis are in wash dish. The color selection was just ok and didn’t have any new seasonal colors but I was going for neutral so no biggie. The salon itself is a little outdated it seems, but hey– the services were up to snuff.
They only thing that bothered me was my nail tech smelled of nasty cigarette smoke after coming back in from outside to work on my mani. Ick.
Overall it’s a great place to come for the convenience and prices. Street parking is impossible so use 17^th street garage for $ 1/​hour, it’s practically across the street.

I am officially hooked on this place! I orignally bought a Couptessa coupon for Shellac and Pedi. Its a family owned business and you actually feel like part of the family. Everyone is so pleasent and the vibe is great!

I just had a Keratin treatment on my hair two days ago (bought a Couptessa coupon) and I had a GREAT experience there. It’s my first time getting this done and so far I LOVE it and have gotten lots of compliments on my hair’s appearance. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Alejandro did my treatment and he was very thorough and professional. William was great as well; always making sure everyone was seen on time and helping out anyone he could in order to keep everything running smoothly.
Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend this place and I’ll definitely be back :-)

I have never found a salon that i can be loyal to, until i discovered Leonardo Salon! I have been coming here for the last 7 months for my shellac mani/pedi’s with Astrid… AMAZING! My hands and feet have never looked better!
People: consistently nice and friendly. William does great makeup and hair!!!
Service: the manicures and pedicures are perfect! not too slow not too fast! the tools always come from a sealed sterilized pack, the products are good quality, and Astrid is gentle! my biggest complaint at salons is usually being cut with the cuticle clipper! i am happy to say… Astrid has never cut me. also The selection of Shellac colors is constantly growing and pretty large! I have found that i can go 2 – 3 weeks without chips on my nails and 4 – 5 weeks without chips on my feet. And they offer 2 different keratin treatments– My hair is in love! very reasonable prices!
Location: Perfect? 1 block north of lincoln rd across from macys and the parking garage… its so underestimated… good for me bad for them– its easy to miss since the main attraction in the area is lincoln… but once you find this salon you will be torn whether or not you should tell your friends… But the answer is yes! tell them! there are plenty of appointments to go around!
FYI for those of you who haven’t been on the shellac boat… my nails have been thin and weak for as long as i can remember… i can litterally bend them down the center… but the shellac has made them much much stronger… and it stops my nails from breaking! in the beggining the nail would chip under the shellac and the shellac would remain perfect! now my mani’s are lasting longer and longer! (Sorry Astrid) lol
Conclusion: Go there now! you will not be sorry! great people, great location, great quality service, and great prices!

Ok, I must say that this is not a high end salon, The salon could definitely use some updating. They will be moving soon to a new location. I arrived at 12:45pm (my appointment was for 1pm. Cuban coffee was immediately offered! At 12:55pm, my hair was being washed. The young Cuban girl who washed my hair was super friendly and she did a great job. Not too hard, not too soft. She was also very gentle in detangling it. William was the one who did my Keratin treatment. Quiet at first, but super nice! He assured me I would have Chinese straight hair! The entire treatment was done in one and a half hours. Super fast compared to other places I have done the treatment. I loved how it came out. He told me to wash it off in four days. Best part of it is that he offered me future treatments at a discounted price! I paid $ 79 through CoupTessa and I’m glad I did because I will definitely be coming back!

I came here twice in one week — one to use my dealtificate for a shellac mani/​pedi and second to use my Deal On certificate for a keratin hair treatment. Both times I left happy. The ladies who did my nails were very friendly and did a great job with my nails. One of the other ladies in the salon offered me Cuban coffee when I came in, which I gratefully accepted! When I left that day I was almost immediately asked where I did my nails! I love shellac it dries SO fast and they had a decent selection of colors in comparison to other places I’ve had it done. When I came in for my hair treatment I was attended to immediately, and the guy who did my hair was quiet but efficient and did a great job with my hair. I loved it, and I got so many compliments! Only thing I can recommend is that he explains a little more about the keratin process and what to do/​not to do. I’ve had it done before so I knew not to wash my hair or tie it up, etc. Thanks Leonardo Salon, see you again soon!

I bought a deal from DealOn to get a shellac manicure for $ 18 (original price: $ 45). I was pretty excited to get my nails done for our honeymoon and had heard great things about shellac. The salon didn’t impress me, but I didn’t care. Well, my shellac manicure only lasted 2 or 3 days before it started chipping. After a week, most of my nails had chipped. I’m not sure how it happened when I wasn’t doing any manual labor… just vacationing and being lazy. Everyone I know has said their shellac manicures usually last two weeks. I’ve also heard that in order to remove shellac, you need to go back to a salon to soak your nails. They never mentioned this to me, but I had heard from friends who have had it done. About a week and a half after the manicure, I could literally peel off the shellac. Won’t be going back here.

I just discovered this place by buying a Dealtificate. (A Groupon like voucher)
The staff was ready to take care of me immediately. I had a hair wash/​deep condition/​blowdry and style as well as a manicure.
They were friendly and experienced and I was very happy with their work.
1 star off for not speaking English. Although the cuban coffee served on a tray nearly compensated for that.

I went to Leonardo Salon because of their great keratin hair straightening offer. I’d had it done once before at another place and wasn’t too impressed with the results, but their Groupon discount made it irresistible. I LOVE the completely and always straight hair that Nancy gave me. She did a meticulous job and I’ll always go back to her. I just blow my hair dry — no round brush, no iron — and it is always perfect. The staff there couldn’t have been nicer, and the salon is spotless. I highly recommend you try this place!

Ok, first of all… THEY MOVED!!! They are right by City Hall and Macy’s on 17^th STREET!
More importantly, this family run salon is AMAZING! They are truly the nicest and most efficient salon as a whole that I have ever experienced. I get the SHALACK (lasts 2 weeks mani/​pedi) from them which I love. I even took my mother in law (who is impossible to please) to get her hair colored and highlighted and she cannot stairing at herself in the morror while smiling! The place is clean, unpretencious, PUNCTUAL! Might I add that it is a fabulous place to treat a kid to salon day for fun!
So far, I am very impressed with several nail technicians and hair stylists alike! BRAVO!
