Loved my manicure pedicure with Vanessa! She was great, my mom and god mother also got mani/​pedis and we all had a wonderful experience. The coffee was great as well. I would definitely come back here again!

A nightmare of an experience. Large patches of hair remain on my thigh and bikini area. In addition I have some frightful bruising. Was told the result was my fault for having waited too long between waxes, something I have never before been told or experienced. I complained and was given a discount but still paid $ 65 for my mutilation. Save yourself and your money!
I contacted Nikki to try and remedy the situation and was basically berated and accused of blackmail. Buyer beware.

Brownes is a cute spot for a reasonably priced mani/​pedi and sells a lot of nice products (Bumble & Bumble, MAC, Dyptique, etc). I was recently here with five girlfriends during my bachelorette weekend and we all got great mani/​pedis. It’s not super high-​end, but a cozy place with friendly service, complimentary coffee & tea, and a decent selection of polishes. We all did standard polish, so can’t speak to the gel manicures.
I knocked off one star because one friend had to re-​select her polish when the color was clumpy and running out, and her second choice had the same issue (I would have expected they’d have back-​ups?). Also ONLY CASH TIPS, which we weren’t aware of until we arrived, though that seems pretty common at salons.
All in all, I would definitely recommend Browne’s if you’re looking for something more reasonably priced/​low-​key than the beach hotel spas.

My friend of a long time (sergio) recently began working here … I trust no one else with my hair … So I was stumped when I needed a touch up and he wouldn’t be back from out of town for over a week … The owner … Who is an absolute delight … Took my apt since my hair is very fragile and gave me the color of my dreams and pampered me to no end … The environment here is cozy and I’m so happy my friend now works @ brownes I def look forward to returning every month …

Got a last minute manicure and pedicure. They did a great job, we’re so sweet and it was fair prices. The salon is really cute and very chic. Sadly I don’t live in Miami or else I would come here all the time!

By far the WORST experience I have ever had getting a mani/​pedi. This place DOES NOT deserve a 5 star rating.
Upon arrival, I was greeted, asked to wait a couple minutes as they got my seat ready, and asked if I would like something to drink, I said water was fine. As I waited, another lady asked me if I would like something to drink, I again said water was fine… I never received my water during my time there. Once they sat me down, I waited 30 minutes before my gel manicure began. Manicure was extremely brutal: 3 different cuts on my nails and poor filing job. Not to mention they have a very small choice of shellac to choose from and no matching colors so that your pedi is the same color. Then proceeded to get a brutal pedicure where I had to continue to hold the pain and once the torture was over, I was given thin sandals that was the same material you would use as those no-​static dryer clothes. You would think a place in south beach (where you have to walk a good distance to get to your car) would have more durable disposable sandals. Once I waddled my way to the front I was told the total for my mani/​pedi was $ 96.00!!! Never in my life have I EVER received THE WORST manicure and pedicure ever and then have to pay SO MUCH for it! I also was not allowed to put tip on my card (which did not make sense because when I received the receipt to sign, it did in fact have the option to give tip) so I gave the lady the little bit of cash that I had… Which was probably what she deserved anyways. And to finish it off, as I walked away in my thin clothe sandals, I was forced to put on my close toed shoes so that I can make it to my car without having to step on the dirty concrete… Which resulted in ruining the most expensive and worst pedicure I have ever received.
I would never recommend this place to get a mani/​pedi. There are MANY other places in south beach to go to. Do yourself the favor and don’t go.

Booked this place for my gf for a Mani/​pedi. Excellent service and exceptionally friendly staff!!! Outstanding!!! Will definitely return when we’re back in MIA vacationing!

Such a cute shop! The staff was so friendly and this is definitely one the best pedicures — it was long overdue and came with a lovely massage :) Marta was fabulous!

I am still waiting to get refunded for all the unauthorized monthly charges by Brownes on my credit card without my 3 digit security code, that has been kept on file. I have resent my bank statement to the owner since a week ago to the correct email address. I am hoping that this is a mis understanding and that I get refunded the $ 1107, less the services rendered, owed by Brownes immediately so that I can update my review.

Spectacular place for manicure and pedicure, is nice clean and the attetion is number one.
Yami is the best manicurist in the world, she know how to do the manicure and pedicure that can stay for weeks.

My wife and I left the Hamptons for r and r in south beach. We decided to treat ourselves to some pampering ! We saw great reviews for brown and company and we felt we found the spot. We certainly hit the jackpot. We were met by the owner Nikki who was extremely friendly chatty and helpful. I am not normally a mani and pedi guy however Martha treated me like was a regular. I felt I had «arrived». !! I then went for a hair trim. Although I don’t have a lot to work on the result was a huge difference to my normal barber cut. My wife had a trim, color Gloss and a manicure. She looks and feels fabulous. Wow what an experience the staff were awesome and what a treat to meet the owner too. It is on our must do for our next south beach trip !! Shay d

Visiting Miami this weekend, I was in desperate need of attention to hair and nails. I was fortunate enough to follow previous posters advice for Brownes and co., right off Lincoln Road in SOBE, I had a great experience at their sister shop in the design district a few years back– but this was my first visit to Jefferson. First off, the décor is fab– great art, great make up and product displays — great music and sound system! Flat screen movies playing, cool air, iced tea, magazines– happy girl! Gabriella gave me an amazing massage and perfect shellac mani/​pedi. On to the hair– Janet colored, bumble glossed and trimmed my hair, and finished it off with a sleek blow out– I didn’t recognize myself after this experience! feeling polished and brand new, thrilled with the results and ready to hit the town! Thank you owner Nikki for accommodating me on such short notice, you run a classy shop– will be back for sure!

Nikki did an amazing job on my color, I got so many compliments. She also went out of her way to accommodate my desired time and supplied me with drinks! Carolina does amazing facials. Mercedes is a sweetheart and blow drys like a professional. I will definitely be back for all 3 services and next time for nails!

Love it! This place is as great as it gets! By Checking in on Unilocal you will receive 10% discount on any products — lipstick, mail polish, perfume… Browne’s is a must stop for me when I come to visit Miami. The manicure and pedicure’s last longer than anywhere else. I live and have traveled all over the US and hands-​down they are still my favorite and first stop upon arrival to South Beach!
They also do waxing, hair, etc.
If you wish to be treated like a lady, come here!

What an amazing store! They carry the best brands — stuff you don’t see at other beauty stores — which makes it so unique. And the staff is amazing — super helpful and knowledgable about the products. Two thumbs up!
