First time having Cuban food was here in this little gem. The rice, beans, plantains, stewed beef, braised pork, potato balls, pastries and espresso were all on point. I ate here everyday I was on my trip. Very cheap as well

Bomb Cuban home style food for a very affordable price. I highly recommend. The prices are good. You can pick up all the basics if you’re here traveling as well. I prefer here over Walgreens.

A great little store for picking up whatever you need from drinks to local food. I was staying the night in South Beach right down the street so every time I needed something I would come here. The service was good, the prices were decent and there was a long line of people waiting for some local food. I didn’t get any food but it did look damn good. I love little mom and pop stores like this. Forget going to Walgreen’s because this place feels more like home. Well anyway if you need a quick local bite or a few drinks then this is your spot.

Has a lot of items, some of which appear to have been on the shelves too long. They close earlier than you would think, and the locals will stare you down. All in all it’s worth saving the extra blocks to CVS in a pinch. Other than that not much reason to stop by.

Beware!!! Hard to give one star. Bought cereal there and there was mold inside the bag. This place is a danger to your health. Most of the cereal was taped shut. This box was not. I think they shop at Costco or other stores and stock their shelves with outdated merchandise. Please beware!

Part grocery store part fritanga. Might be in only fritango on South Beach. Get the fried pork chicharon. It’s the BEST I’ve ever had.

Been going here since I was about 9 or 10 years old. Some of the best hispanic food on the beach and great people own the place. A below 5th st staple.

Hidden gem a few blocks from Ocean Drive. Great buffet style Latin American food. Best bang for your buck in South Beach. $ 5 for a heaping pile of chicken, rice, beans, empanadas, and anything else you order that can fit into a container. Everyone was friendly. Other than the crazy deal, there’s a nice wine selection and fresh produce, and any other necessities that a little grocery store offers. Stop by if you’re on a budget and you’ll be surprised how good the food is.

Walked into this place even before I found it on Unilocal.Small market with fresh fruits and liquor. They also sell hot food. I got rice and beans with plantain + beef. It was really good. Pretty cheap as well. Try the Papacito ice cream. A perfect way to cool down after going to the beach.

Delightfully, almost unaware of the tourist hype, this handy convenient store stocks cheap grocery staples, big variety of fresh fruit and the big prize — a Latin grill counter. There are many local places like this in South Beach, but this one has some of the best food. For breakfast, flaky crust empanadas, and homemade pappas rellenas(mashed potatoes filled with ground beef and then browned in a skillet.) for about $ 1 a piece. For lunch $ 5, they write on your sack, gets you a small container of grilled steak, rice and maybe some fresh avocado. Positioned a block from the beach, I often score some tapas for a late morning beach session. Usually one item is totally gone before I hit the sand. Mainly cool locals and a few in cognito tourists, often having long, sometimes loud, conversations in the aisle ways of this tightly packed little super store.

Awesome find, thanks to Joseluis. The cafeteria is delicious. There seems to be a mix of Dominican and Cuban food. The prices were very reasonable, definitely the best on the beach. A completa is just under 6 bucks. The arroz moro is delicious, the pollo asado is flavorful and tasty too. There are always plenty of options as well. The day my boyfriend and I went, they had costillas de cerdo, masitas de puerco, pollo asado, and one other thing i can’t remember, arroz moro, veggie medley, maduros, and another side I can’t remember, plus a selection of croquetas and sweet pasteles. The lady at the cafeteria line was nice enough and patient. She got some tourist before us who kept changing their minds on stuff so much that I wanted to kick them out of the place, but she kept her cool, showing only minor annoyance, especially by Miami standards. You need to either speak Spanish at the cafeteria or have your pointing finger ready. She is patient with that. The lady at the register, however, isn’t exactly the friendliest. As far as the grocery store part, they have just about everything you could possibly need from cheeses to juices, spices, a plethora of fresh fruit, lots of yogurt options, milk, detergent… seriously, everything. Prices are surprisingly reasonable for everything, considering that this place has the look of a convenience mart more than a full supermarket. I felt super lucky to have this place so close to where I was staying. I had everything I needed just a few blocks away. They accept cards too, which is an added convenience. If you are staying in the area, I highly recommend stopping by at least once if you’re hungry and having a chill day. You won’t be disappointed. Everything’s tasty and authentic.

I was staying at the hostel down the block and came here to eat every day. Delicious and cheap Cuban food you can see them making there in their front open kitchen. Their meat stuffed potato balls(papas rellenas) and coffee were my favorites.

Best market in SOFI, i love their fruits(way better than publix or WF) and they have a great selection of fresh to go foods, Domincan to be precise. Also have a magnificent bread and rice pudding, the best in SOBE!!!
