Definitely come here during happy hour. The drinks are BOGO and from what I could tell, weren’t watered down like some happy hour specials tend to be. Otherwise, I don’t think it’s worth it. The pool itself is nice and it’s always super to sit by the pool in the sun with a cocktail. I’d return just for that. The problem, though, was the bartending staff. They were SO awkward. Like some of the most awkward people I’ve ever encountered working at a bar. I walked up to them and they ignored me once and just stared the next time… what? When I ordered, I got a funny look and no one moved to make my drink or ask for payment… so uncomfortable. C’mon, man, I was just trying to do some reading poolside with a cocktail? Why does it have to be so weird? The short of it: happy hour deals are good, drinks aren’t anything spectacular, bartenders are awkward.

We went during the day. So you need to pay 10 $ to get in– even ladies — then you have nowhere to sit– literally every single Spot — where nobody is sitting has a reserved sign. You either have to pay 300 $ for bottle service or stand in the pool. Nobody told us that — I don’t mind not having a fancy seat but by paying entrance fee I expected to sit my butt down somewhere. Not a nice view — way to hyped up. We came back later in the night — died down. The entrance is nice though.

Really nice rooftop setting. The drinks are much better than what you’d find on ocean drive. They tend to get REALLY busy during the day, but at night not so much. Not a bad spot if you want kick back and relax.

I’d come back for the view. We came at the end but it was a nice rooftop with a pool and DJ. Sexy and very South Beach.

Drinks $ 12/each in plastic cup. Waitress completely ignored us. Ordered one drink and couldn’t get her for another. Finally saw her, and she ran over with the check said its time for her to go home so we needed to cash out. Automatic gratuity/tip included(good thing because she wouldn’t have got one otherwise). Only thing going for this place is that it’s awfully nice up top here.

I’m writing this review because High Bar recently changed their management and their new policy is: the rooftop pool and sitting area is no longer open to the public even if they are willing to spend money on food and drinks. I hope this new management gets aquatinted with the words«lost business.» High bar was a gem to many locals like myself. Always low key and free of the pretentiousness of the south beach party zombies. In fact, so low key that it’s practically empty on Friday night during happy hour. Saturday’s are not that different. So it makes you wonder what the hell this new management is thinking.

After reading some reviews I decided to give it a go, turns out when we got to the hotel they told us it was for guests at the hotel only? They said we could go upstairs, have a drink but that’s it… So nvm I guess they didn’t want money

My friend and I came here on a Wednesday after it had just been raining, so we were pretty much the only ones there, but that was to be expected. I loved the décor– so clean and classy. We ordered a cocktail each and enjoyed the beach view as the sun came out. Man do those drinks pack a punch. It was also happy hour so they were verrry cheap(for Miami). We only stayed for a little bit, dipping our feet in the pool, but now I really want to come back on a Friday or Saturday and experience it with a crowd.

You know, it’s a great spot. Fun layout of pools and lounges. Great views. The scene was kind of dead the night I went, but I’m an early bird so that’s my fault.

Awful! Ruined our 4th of July!!! We went up at 9am to claim a seat, had a great time until 4:30 then they kicked us out telling us our space was«reserved» for someone paying for bottle service! Had they said that at 9 when the entire pool area was open we would have chosen another space! When they kicked us out it wAs too late, everything was taken! Up there at 9am to not even have a place for fireworks! And the food is awful!

Roof top bar with pool. Okay for visitors, you don’t have to stay at the hotel to utilize this place. Decent drinks and lovely view of the ocean. Wish we had stayed at the hotel, nicer then our spot across the street.

Rooftop bar with pool. You can also order some eats from«naked taco» downstairs. Service is extremely attentive and the tacos are delicious. It’s probably the best taco in Miami. I guess there’s not so much of a view because it’s not on a high rise building but it’s still fine because it’s really close to the beach.

We stopped in for drinks a few weeks back on a Sunday afternoon.,…Kind of dated… boutiquey joint… went up top to the pool and bar… same thing– though it could be fun with the right mix of people… Drinks were fine, though they ran out of some hard liquor and that was a slight limitation. I would give them shot again–

Epitome of Miami. Breathtaking views. Pool top bar. Infinity pool. White errrraythang. Posh men and women lining the rooftop. Overpriced drinks. Pool hunnies. Comfy(and almost always taken) pool beds. Techno beats. Nighttime neon. Epitome of Miami.

This would be paradise if they had more chairs and umbrellas available and, if they insist on charging so much for drinks, they would at least make them bigger, colder and in something nicer than a small disposable plastic cup. Otherwise, the pool is glorious in the Miami heat, the rooftop views are incredible, the drinks are delicious(try the Lust!), and I love that they put towels out for you… very nice. If you’re staying at the Dream Hotel in South Beach, don’t let this little escape go to waste!

There isn’t much wrong with a rooftop poolside bar, especially when it’s only a short flight of stairs from my hotel room. What docked stars for me was the price(all signature cocktails were $ 13, basic Tangueray and tonic was $ 11) vs the quality. While my signature cocktail was tasty, it didn’t pack much of a punch. Womp. I expect high prices in South Beach, but there just wasn’t anything alluring enough about this place to make me want to come back. They do a 2 for 1 deal for«happy hour»(it actually runs much later than that) so you’ll get your money’s worth then, although when the sun goes down so does the primary reason for hanging out here.

It’s getting to the point where I don’t see a difference between Club A and Club B or Bar A and Bar B in South Beach. It’s not that I don’t mind a uniformity for all the establishments, but I just don’t see much of a distinction. Here’s the checklist: A) Loud music. Ironically, from a business standpoint, I actually know why the music is as loud as it is. The answer is rather simple, there is something in human physiology that causes us to consume more food and/or alcohol when the music is loud. Is that a bad thing? Well, not for businesses who overcharge for their drinks(see further down on the checklist). I’m not looking for awkward silence, but you shouldn’t need to have to shout at the person next to you to talk to them. B) Infinity pool. Just like opinions, everyone seems to have one. They look cool, but for the most part, that’s about it. They are just pools. Squared, circular, whatever shape you want them to be, they are still just pools. C) Mono-color. Highbar is mostly white. Other clubs are mostly black, or red, or blue, or some color. I’m not saying that the mono-color is bad. I think white is probably the best choice of all the colors, but it just feels cookie cutter after a bit. D) Illusion of exclusivity. Oooh. A private elevator that can only be accessed via a hidden doorway. Meh. E) Overpriced drinks. This is a staple of South Beach. You really can’t go anywhere(on South Beach) without paying higher prices for mediocre options. I do recognize that if a bar or club wants to keep a certain clientele out, they need to keep their prices higher so that the clientele they don’t want won’t be able to have a good time. Fortunately, the bartenders were quick and friendly. I can’t speak for every night, but my experience with them was positive. Bottom Line: Not a bad spot, just nothing new. I would just avoid it on rainy days since there is no roof!

I brought a girlfriend from out of town here for pre dinner drinks and this hit the spot. Tudor House is within walking distance to many great restaurants on Collins/Ocean Drive so ladies-don’t fret about wearing those heels. Great perspective of Miami Beach with ‘à la fresca’ views of ocean, Biscayne Bay, and downtown Miami. Northern view is blocked by the adjacent DREAM hotel. Arriving at 8pm on a Saturday we were the only ones there for a good 30 minutes. Seeing as though we just wanted to chit chat and enjoy the open air views, we didn’t mind that it wasn’t ‘sceney’ yet. In fact, preferred it better this way as we enjoyed clear views of the gorgeous skyline. Music was cool and quiet, easy to chill and not get too wound up… yet. What– old college girlfriends just wanna have fun! I loved the vegetation, low lighting, and little nooks with comfy chairs and benches. The covered bar area is very small with only a few stools, so grab your beverage and take to the open air! Menu is very limited and we couldn’t order anything from Tudor House downstairs… bummer. So we nibbled on and truffle fries and caprese salad watermelon bites. So-So glasses of wine start at $ 11 so I wouldn’t make a night here, but perfect place to show off the neighborhood before you cruise elsewhere.

There is something about being up high that makes everything look better Highbar is a sleek rooftop bar/pool/lounge with lots of nooks and crannies to hide in and a great view of South Beach below It’s decorated smartly with lots of whites and wood, relaxing, not obnoxious
