This place is a dumpster, most unprofessional and rude employees ever, talking bad behind customers, they do not know and or respect the boundaries between employees and customer and forget that they are just fitness center employees and nothing more, they are there to clean up after people and help people with their issues. This place smells and the locker and bathroom are always dirty as if dogs played in there, there’s never clean towels and even the wipe containers to clean the machines are always empty. In the morning the openers many times never arrive on time and the gym is closed when it should be open and at night it gets closed and access restricted way ahead of the actual time it should close. Dorothy, Chris and Franky are the worst and most unprofessional people ever talking bad about each other as well as other customers in front of others as well as giving attitude to the same people that pay their salaries.

I was told«do not drop the weights» before I even started working out. As soon as I was told this I even tried to reply with a «Sorry, that must have been someone else, I haven’t started lifting yet.» I did my best to be polite, but this dumbass then replies with«You look like someone that would drop the weights». I told him to go fuck himself and I left the gym. He typed in the system that I had to be escorted out by security and I was very violent. I am 6’5250 lbs. The biggest security guard in the building is just shy of 5’7, maybe a buck 50.(if that gives you any idea at how much of a liar this guy is) I can’t remember his name for the life of me, but he’s tall, bald, and walks around like he has a stick in his ass. You can’t miss him. I wanna say his name is Chris. I called the new manager, Thomas(everyone says this guy is cool) to try to explain the situation to him, but he’s a flake and never returned my call. P. S. My buddy Claude is a GREAT trainer! Sign up with him.

This gym has plenty of things going for it: it boasts some spectacular views of the downtown skyline, the quality and variety of equipment is generally sufficient for the amount of members, the sauna is an added bonus, and the front-desk staff are pleasant and welcoming. The monthly price for Flamingo residents is $ 60, which isn’t too bad for the area. I posted a picture of the new guest prices, which are considerably higher. They also have some classes(e.g. Brazilian Booty and Six-Pack Attack) which are bound to give most gym rats a slight inability to move normally for up to seven days afterward. The qualities that I mentioned probably warrant 4 stars, but let me now tell you why I am being generous with a 3-star review. Let’s start with Claudio(a «trainer» at the gym). He constantly holds up equipment for his clients when the gym policies clearly read«DON’T HOLDUPEQUIPMENT» in CAPS when you enter the gym. On my most recent trip to the gym, there was a sign posted on the only treadmill available for several minutes which read«In use for personal training session.» Being a paying customer who follows the gym policies, I removed the sign and proceeded with my run. 10 minutes later, Claudio comes and stands on the treadmill besides me, stares at me and then reaches right in front of me to grab his reservation tag as I am closing my 2 mile run at 10.5MPH, and then talks some crap under his breath. I finished my run and went to tell the manager how Claudio is breaking the rules that the gym supposedly enforces and Claudio comes in the room and starts yelling at me to defend his case. I shared with the manager that yelling at customers should increase the likelihood of disciplinary actions and went to continue my workout. Claudio then continues to yell at me from various corners of the gym while I attempted to ignore his childish demeanor. I then overheard him spreading rumors about me to other members. Needless to say, this kind of pathetic level of customer service is unacceptable on multiple levels. I’ve posted a collage of the evidence with the partial hope that Claudio might consider posting a picture(alongside the pictures of other trainers at the gym) that actually looks like the ungreased version of his arms. Mind you, this is the second time that I, a paying customer, have been yelled at by staff members. The first time, I was falsely accused by a lady(who I was told has been fired) for dropping weights«for the last 20 minutes» when I hadn’t been in the area for more than 10 minutes and I wasn’t dropping weights. Not to mention, as a further example of the hypocrisy here, I’ve witnessed certain trainers drop weights from shoulder level. In all, it’s unfortunate that the perks of this gym are overshadowed by the hypocrisy and unprofessionalism of a few. This gym has many good things going for it, and it’s possible that I would even give another star if the general manager(Debbie) addresses my concerns.
