5 Napkin Grill

The original 5 napkin is a delicious yet rich and heavy burger in South Beach.
It’s great but kind of difficult to swallow when it’s hot and humid :)
I still recommend it

Good option for a delicious meal in south beach. Never disappointed. Gave 4 stars because the area has some really fantastic places that set the standard.

Anyone that gives this place more than two stars doesn’t get out much !! Slowest service every yet the place was not even at half capacity. The BBLT burger was tasteless and the bacon was soggy raw !!! Two burgers, an order of onion rings and two mixed vodka drinks was $ 78.00 as they ad in 18% gratuity. With all the great mom and pop resturants on Lincoln road I don’t know what made pick this place. I was so disappointed that I specifically signed up to to Unilocal to write this review!

The theme of this ace is slow apathetic service! After 15 minutes I went to hostess and asked her if a server was assigned to our table because no one greeted us. Business was slow, I noted several servers congregating around hostess stand talking. It took another 20 minutes to get our beverages. I ordered the over priced $ 17.00 10. Oz ground chuck burger with sautéed onions, Gruyère cheese and Rosemary aoli. The bun was pedestrian and stale. The burger was undercooked and under seasoned. The fries were delicious.

Stopped in for happy hour and got a $ 2 slider and a $ 5 draft. The beer was good. Their Tampa IPA was pretty local and tasty. The slider was not bad and fit the $ 2 price but I was not very impressed with any aspect of it. The one thing I did like was that the bun was not cut all the way through so the back was together and it helped keep the ingredients from falling out after each bite.
Service was just okay and the outdoor area has good weather but is very touristy.

I came here with a party of four. It literally took 10 minutes before we were greeted, 20 minutes to get our drinks, an hour before we got our food (which was good but cold) and we only saw our server twice. We had a crappy experience and i’m not intrigued to return!

On a regular Sunday afternoon after black
Friday weekend decided to have lunch here. It was literally empty. We came in and were greeted and seated pretty quickly. Waiter came with our menu and asked for drinks. We places our order and took about 35 minutes to just get our food. Food was pretty good, decent sized portions, we ordered the original five napkin burger with a side of fries and don’t remember the name of the other item. Regardless it took way toooo long to get our food. Everything else was great

Food is 4 stars. The chicken in my dish was tender and full of flavor. Side salad could have been a bit bigger. It tasted great though.
Service was 1 – 1.5 stars. Our service was a bit sub par. July did not check on us until we were finished with our meal. I ran out of my beverage prior to being served my entrée and never was asked if I wanted not brought a refill… that pissed me off.
Don’t think I’ll be back. There are too many other options.

This place rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning. I went here on a Saturday night and there were plenty of open tables, so you can guess my reaction when the hostess told me there was a 25 min wait.
They urged us to go to the bar, where we spent more money on 3 drinks than we did on our dinner of two entrees and a beer. The food was good, but the first impression wasn’t good enough to bring me back.

I have a lot of complaints about Lincoln road eateries, but this is not one of them. 5 napkin has indoor and outdoor seating. Sun-​Thurs from 4pm till midnight they have specials in the $ 4-​$ 6 dollar range, which is almost unheard of in a prime Miami Beach location. As for service goes, Alan the bartender is nice.

Decided to stop by with my family for a late bite. Despite of my eating habits I decided to give it a try. My boys had the beef sliders that are part of the happy hr I had veggie sliders $ 2 a piece! Along with some French and sweet potatoes fries. I loved the sweet potatoes! And my veggie sliders were filling! I didn’t like the fact they added pickles to it, but no biggie! All of us left happy and spent less than $ 30! Tip is included but it’s fine… Great service and everyone was very helpful and attentive.
The hostess was really nice.
Management were prompt and efficient when I gave them my card to charge me.
I’m coming back again soon!

The ambience isn’t so bad. The type of food they serve is overpriced. Don’t order the spinach & artichoke dip– it’s very small. The blackberry margarita was great! That was my favorite thing. I think if you’re paying a higher price, you should at least have more of a portion. We probably won’t be back.

The firs time I tried this place was in NYC. When I saw that there was a location in my hometown, I could not pass it by.
I took a friend with me and we ordered two well done burgers — I forget what type. But I can’t forget those sweet potato fries-​yummy!
The South Beach location looked and tasted very similar to the NYC location. The experience of eating at this restaurant and being in South Beach made the food taste better, that being said, the burgers were good but not the best.
My friend and I were not disappointed and I would definitely recommend this place for a date or special occasions.

UNDERCOOKED burger was just gross and raw and tasteless, I fed most of it to my dogs. The salad that it was on was one of the strangest combinations of vegetables I have ever had… and not necessarily in a good way. Service was very good. Food was overpriced.
I will never return.

This place gets a big olé «ehhh» in my book.
The reason I visited 5 Napkin in the first place is that it is located right by my job. I needed a quick lunch, I didn’t know where to go, and it seemed like a decent place I can get a meal. The first time I visited 5 Napkin I got the pesto flatbread for a meal and it was pretty good. I got a side of sweet potato fries just because and those were the best part of the meal.
I went to 5 Napkin again with some coworkers and we tried the guacamole which was not very good. I guess it was good for a burger joint, but at a Mexican place that type of guacamole would not pass as acceptable. I also tried the cheddar tots, which sound amazing, but aren’t. There was a lack of flavor and if this was another restaurant it would not be acceptable.
By this point I’m starting to realize that 5 Napkin’s MO is mediocrity. They food doesn’t have much flavor, but it’s in a good location so that is where they get most of their customers. I’ll visit 5 Napkin again on a day I need a quick lunch and I don’t feel like going too far. But is this best meal I’ve had, or even the best meal on Lincoln? Absolutely not.

Ever wonder why this place is so empty? It’s because there are so many better burger joints within a five minute walk. Run, don’t walk.
I went as they were preparing to close. My mistake. The GM said the kitchen was still open but the burger I ordered was haphazardly prepared. Seared to appear cooked but the middle was bloody rare. To make maters worse the GM refused to remove it from my bill and insisted I pay half price for it.
Don’t believe me. Look at all the empty tables and ask yourself why. Walk down Washington to Five Guys or for a bigger burger cross the street to Cheeseburger Baby.

Mittelmäßige Küche zu gehobenen Preisen. Die Lage ist toll, aber im Vergleich zu der Filiale in NYC gibt es hier nur leidenschaftslose Kost, gewürzt mit mürrischen Personal. NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN !

Sriracha deviled eggs? That got me to go inside and sit down.
My friends and I were looking for a quick burger spot. It was the typical «can’t check into the hotel for another hour» meal.
We started with the deviled eggs and were pleasantly surprised. All of us like spicy food and it was just the right amount of spice and Sriracha. I had the Avocado — Ranch burger and subbed in sweet fries. The burger actually comes with guacamole, which was nice. It’s hard to go wrong with avocado and ranch. The patty was only OK — there’s better and there’s worse. The sweet fries were great.
Rich’s recommendation: stop in for a decent and quick bite and some people-​watching.

I had such a horrible experience here with the menu I refuse to be back. I had asked the waiter for different meals and they had told me they can’t serve me cause they are missing certain ingredients.
Its kinda rude when you have your mind set on a certain meal and you can’t have it cause the restaurant isn’t fully stocked. That has honestly never happened to me and as stated I won’t be back cause of it.

I’ve been avoiding coming here since there are so many great places to choose from for burgers. I finally come here for an event, and we had specials on sliders, and beers which made it really reasonable. The service and servers are good, and the location and people watching is great.
The burgers were decent, but there are better choices nearby, if you want to have a burger and sit on Lincoln road to people watch, this is a good option. I would come back, but I doubt I would crave it.

Had a bacon cheeseburger and fries here and loved my meal. Think I had the wings as an appetizer. All the food here is great. For myself alone re bill was about $ 30. Would definitely eat here again when I’m feeling gluttonous.

Après un long voyage depuis Bruxelles, il né nous restait plus qu’une chose à faire… Manger et ensuite dodo!
En se baladant on est tombé sur ce resto à burger.
Ce que j’en retient c’est que dans notre état de fatigue avancé, c’est exactement ce dont nous avions besoin. Pas compliqué, nourrissant, et un serveur sympa et très souriant. Burger: Check. Salade: Check. Menu enfant: Check (0 légumes par contre). Je recommande le dip artichaut épinard, par contre éviter les ailerons de poulets… ils étaient trop gros.
J’aime bien noté relatif aux autres endroits de la ville, et je sens que en rapport qualité prix il y a probablement mieux. Mais le spot est top pour mater les gens qui passent sur Lincoln road ;-)
Quelques jours plus tard, un jour de gros orage on a courus et sauter à nouveau dans le 5 napkins, et je confirme c’était bien parce que ça nous tombait sous la main, et parce que dehors l’orage était tellement violent que chaque goute de pluie contenait minimum ½ litres d’eau. Donc bien au sec j’ai cette fois ci manger une très bonne salade. Et le dip… et bien touours top ;-)
Ah oui j’oubliais… top séléction de bière. Et ça pour moi ça vaut bien 4* :-)
