Über trendy, modern, unique spot in Miami Beach. First floor bar, with attentive, approachable bartenders. Second floor dining room and third floor dance club accessed via an elevator. Cool concept. The restaurant was filled with pretty people, so dress accordingly. Impressive wine selection(via an iPad), delectable tapas. I opted for the Florida avocado salad and the organic chicken. Both were wonderful, albeit a bit on the small side, even for tapas. 3 plates per person are probably necessary here. Service was flawless.

Chef Luke and staff were dead on! This was my first visit and I’ll be back. Our small dinner party decided to go all out and each of us opted for the«Tasting Menu» which exceeded our expectations(if you can splurge, it was well worth the spend). Each course was elegantly plated. The Chef’s special menu was prepared to perfection. From the seafood to the meat and game; all offered smooth, velvety textures, dispersing subtle tasty flavors on the palate. The avocado salad was very tasty. My husband found the striped sea bass and gazpacho to be delicious. The desert was fabulous: we had Strawberry Incense(surprisingly, it contains muddled strawberries with peppercorns but it is highly recommended). This is not a white glove restaurant but you wouldn’t know it. The staff service was right on point. The pouring of wine and water and the plate exchange was attentive and well timed. The ambience is quite upscale. We were seated in the lounge and the dining area is modern yet invitingly warm. If you’re looking for a delectable meal, an inviting unpretentious atmosphere with conscientious service; make reservations and try 1826. Chef Luke and the staff deliver!

I have to admit I was a bit nervous coming here after reading mixed Unilocal reviews, worried it might be too over-priced/over-hyped South Beach, but am happy to report I was very pleasantly surprised! Came here with a Gilt City deal(included an appetizer, 2 entrees, dessert and bottle of wine) and the service was smooth and hassle-free. We were greeted with a smile and promptly led upstairs to a modern and elegant dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Collins Ave. Our server, Albert, and the entire wait staff were very attentive and provided excellent recommendations. We ordered a bottle of Malbec; beef tartare with grilled foccacia; the chilled cucumber soup with crab and almonds(while I’m normally not a fan of gazpachos, this was very light, refreshing and well-done); the duck duo(perfectly cooked and well-seasoned); the garganelli pasta with squash, mushrooms, sage and truffle(deliciously indulgent without being very heavy); and the bread pudding(with simultaneous textures of doughnut on the top and flan at the bottom). I found the portion sizes fine too. Overall great experience and although it is a bit pricey, I would come back.

Giving it 2 stars because the FOOD was really good and we had a nice server. Everything else was crap I called on the way there and asked if they validate parking 3 times… they young lady that answered the phones kept on saying yes we have valet. LOL The parking is $ 25 and they do not validate FYI. When we arrive they tell us that the restaurant is fully booked and we needed to wait at the bar which is on a different floor then the restaurant. Husband ordered a Bombay sapphire and tonic…$$$$ 25!!! for ONEDRINK! I almost fainted and was so irritated that I didn’t order a drink myself. Its been literally 5 minutes and we have dropped $ 50 for a crappy drink and we basically parked are own car. Once they come to get us and take us to the restaurant… low and behold the PLACEISEMPTY!!! Its almost as if they wanted to gouge us for the cocktails… I almost needed a xanax! Thank god the food was really good or I may have started a riot and you would have seen me on the news! We had the zucchini blossoms with the ricotta filling.(very good, we had these in our wedding in positano and these were pretty comparable) We also ordered a tiradito, the shared branzino and the chocolate lava cake. All yummy

This is what Miami is all about. Having a fantastic meal, followed by some amazing house cocktails, and then upstairs for some dancing to some of the hottest DJs. 1826 has it all, and it does it in style. We arrived just a few hours before Croatia Squad and some others were to play. Greeted warmly, we were taken upstairs to the restaurant, and attended to quickly by our lovely waiter. I wish I knew his name because he was very good with his recommendations, and was able to guide me with the menu(I have food allergies). Nikolaj and I decided on our choices: starters were Chilled Cucumber Soup(without almonds) and Lobster Salad. The soup was perfect, refreshing on a hot night. The lobster salad was also exquisite. Our main courses were the Wagyu Beef and the Berkshire Pork Chop. WOW! That was some tasty meat! The potatoes that accompanied the beef weren’t quite as appetizing as the rest of the meal, but that didn’t matter since there was so much Wagyu need to enjoy. It was seared perfectly. My pork chop was the greatest piece of pork to ever pass my lips. I will be ordering this again for sure. The black rice was a perfect accompagniement. We only had cappuccino for dessert, which wasn’t that good. But the cocktails were beautiful. I had one with strawberry that was a perfect balance of tart and sweet. Nikolaj had a peach one that he enjoyed so much that he had another! After our meal, we went upstairs for the event. It was during Miami Music Week, so some Swiss DJs were playing that night. The club is GORGEOUS! I was so surprised. I was only used to the super clubs of Miami, but this took my breath away. The bartenders were quick to take our orders, and everything was done with a smile. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, and he was a really nice guy. This place deserves to be visited. It’s just amazing

I came to know about 1826 in a peculiar way. I made a reservation at a restaurant a couple blocks away. Within minutes 1826 followed me on Twitter. That was not coincidence. There are tools out there that help businesses do this kind of thing and I’m going to suggest to you that because they are using one or a social media expert, their reviews are skewed high. It peaked my interest so I checked out their website and was impressed by the menu and photos. The food looked very sophisticated. Later I searched them via google and got a PPC ad for a special they were running through Gilt City(a discount website). For a set price you could get an app, two entrees, a dessert and a bottle of wine. I booked using that promo. Let me sum up before giving you the details. This place shows glimmers of good or even great but those are buried underneath terrible service and spotty execution. We arrived at the restaurant on time. The building is a four floor stand-alone. You enter at street level to a host desk. A tall young lady was behind the desk. We approached her, stood there — no words. She didn’t utter a word to us. She wasn’t busy, she just didn’t speak. I finally said my name and reservation time. Without any words she grabbed two menus pressed the elevator button but then became distracted. The elevator came and went. I pressed the button again and she joined us in the elevator and took us to a table. She handed us two menus then walked away. She uttered NOTONEWORD to us the entire time. No greeting — NOTHING. Very off-putting. If she has social anxiety disorder, have her find another job. This is the face and voice of your business, period. Once seated we waited a full ten minutes for anyone to approach us. They use a team serving model where several people help your table and that misfired over and over. Looking at the menu it became clear that this promo was for a limited menu, not the full menu. I had to figure that out myself. The place itself looks like it’s trying desperately to be trendy. It was loud with an open second floor lounge/bar below us. We started with CHILLEDCUCUMBERSOUPWITHKINGCRAB, ALMONDANDMINTSNOW The portion was very small with maybe two small bites of crab. The mint snow was a nice touch and there were a couple green grapes in the soup. This is a good example of a well-designed dish being poorly executed. The soup was so salty that any subtlety of flavor was lost. The palette was blasted with salt. The entrees we had wanted to try from the menu online were not available in the promo so we moved on to: LONGISLANDDUCKDUOCONFITWITHTOKYOTURNIPS, BLACKTRUMPETSHONEYANDALMONDS This was a decent dish. The breast and confit were cooked very nicely. There were a few parsnips on the plate and I’d say we both enjoyed this one. We also had: GARGANELLIPASTAWITHKABOCHASQUASH, MIATAKEMUSHROOMS, SAGE, ANDBLACKTRUFFLEESSENCE This dish resembled a stroganoff and was nothing short of terrible. The pasta was brutally overcooked for one. I did not find any pieces of squash in it. It was also tepid by the time it reached the table. By FAR, the best dish of the night was the dessert: SWEETGORGONZOLAGELATOCELERYGRANITA, MEDJOOLDATESANDVILLAMANODORIBALSAMICO This was a wildly creative and delicious dessert. We both loved it. The number of service issues during the night was astounding. I won’t go through them all but overall service was slow an inattentive. A busperson came by and cleared a dish and picked up our wine glasses. We were having a white which was kept in a remote ice bin. We had maybe one class at that point — again, no communication, no words. Guys! Speak WITH your customers. When I pointed it out to our main waitress who I had to flag down every time, she brought us two red wine glasses for our white. Later a helper poured tap water over our sparkling water. No words, just moved on. When I pointed that one out I will say they responded appropriately by comping a new bottle of sparkling. Lastly, they asked for the promo code for this promotion not once, not twice — FOURTIMES, despite the fact that I had given it to them when I made the reservation. The next day? A phone call from 1826 — «we need the promo code». You have got to be kidding. The place is seating too many people, the service is miserable and the food is spotty. My suggestion — pay less attention to pretense and more to the quality of the food and service.

Ok. Last night was our second time dining here. Still the food continue to impress us but the service was awful. Server was inattentive to our needs during our meal. When I asked him for a refill of water he only refilled two of the glasses at a table of four. As he turned to walk away, I asked him to fill the other two empty glasses and so he then went ahead and did so. He also never asked us if we wanted coffee or tea after dinner. For a high-end restaurant, this is just unacceptable. This can’t be called fine dining. As another reviewer put it «service is miami, f*ckin SUCKS!» I was going to recommend this place to some friends coming into town, but now it is off the list!

Came here based on reviews and I had the worst experience. Service: It took 40 minutes to be seated after our reservation and the restaurant wasn’t fully booked. Front of staff was not friendly and the long wait for the elevator was just AWKWARD Took a server over 5 minutes to come to the table and forgot to bring us menus. Food: Burrata was too watery, not great at all. Whole foods Burrata is 10 times better. The chicken entrée had 3 small slices of chicken and it was so dry i couldn’t even eat it. They brought out some other chicken thing that was super salty and the garganelli was just bland. I woke up in the middle of the night starving basically. On top of that the espresso was served in a huge coffee cup and was not even hot. I would never go back and never recommend this to anyone.

Been meaning to make it over to the place for a while. A business dinner gave me the opportunity. We had an early reservation and we spent some time at the cool bar on the top floor(3rd floor). I realized just before we dined here that the executive chef had changed. After having a drink at the bar our large table was ready(party of 8 or so). The food was excellent, the prices are also high as expected. The service was superb. The prosciutto croquettes were really amazing here, very good consistency and perfectly cooked. We ended up ordering more :) The burrata was decent, along with the Zucchini blossoms. Main I opted for the Duck and it was fantastic, some of the best duck I have had anywhere. They do it three different ways, which makes it interesting and unique. I would come back.

Every bit the South Beach hotspot, with 4 inch heels and a tight skirt never more than a few feet away, it was just after 7:30 that our party of three entered the second story space and deferring on a dreadful first table offered by the buxom hostess it was with a window-side view that we soon sat, a plate of buttery warm focaccia landing along with the menus as EDM pulsed overhead. Trending a touch ‘Vegas’ in terms of style and demeanor, but decidedly upgraded in service by a team well versed in the menu and its nuances, it was after mere moments of indecision that selections were made from the menu’s 3×2 format and although an opening volley of delicate croquettes were decidedly pricy at $ 3 per marble the explosive potato center teaming with butter, pork, and chives was a wakeup call to the palate and a good sign of things to come. Onward to appetizers suffice it to say that both the beets and the blossoms traced the flavors of late-autumn in bold lines with light touches of acid helping to brighten each plate while a nearly three ounce slice of creamy foie gras took an entirely different route in resting atop a slice of buttered brioche, the substantial heft just barely reined in by a duo of fresh fruits while grated cookie lended just a bit of texture up top, a sort of torchless brûlée, if you will. Largely focused on heavier proteins and pastas as entrees it was after a short respite as the dining room filled that two bowls of risotto plus a «duo of duck» arrived and while both the snappy crustacean amidst buttery cheese as well as the mushroom crusted fowl served alongside crackling confit were delicious neither were in the same league as the simple combination of rice, cream, wine, and fresh truffles — the tableside unveiling perfuming the immediate area and each bite as good as the last until the diner is running their finger through remaining sauce lamenting the focaccia long gone. Moving into dessert it was with minimal debate that a «one of each» approach was taken to a menu from which all options appeared divine and although molten chocolate cake and a composition of bright fruits atop ethereal key lime curd were both quite pleasant the reference standard made-to-order mille-feuille and complex«frozen cheese plate» were undeniable must-haves, the former a shattering juxtaposition of butter pastry and thick cream while the later melded brine, bitter, acid, and sweet into an amalgam that should make folks in Miami very excited for whatever Chef Grant and his new team at 50 Eggs plan to hatch next.

Ummmmmmm… Let’s see how can I describe my thoughts and experience, 1826 was a nice dining experience and the food was great no complaints on the quality and presentation of the plates, but the prices are 100% SOBE! I mean an $ 18 Beef tartar appetizer is beyond me and an Entrée of undercooked risotto of $ 40 speaks for itself. But I give credit where it’s due, the flavors are all there! The restaurant is very divey! The first floor is the reservations check in, then you take the elevator to the second floor for the bar and then third and fourth floor is the main seating for the restaurant. The atmosphere is kinda dark, smokey look with couches and chandeliers. When we arrived we were seated right away. The waiter came to introduce himself and brought us an iPad for cocktails along with(one iPad for 16 people) it took awhile for him to collect the cocktail orders LOL! After ordering the cocktails and the food the appetizers came fairly quickly, the food was hot and there were no plates returned, so the staff did a good job. Overall it was a nice restaurant I would go back and give it another try with my hubby!

INCREDIBLE! Started on the 3rd floor for happy hour, was treated to complimentary champagne and enjoyed delicious cocktails made by their very approachable and well-trained bartenders! Great appetizer of Croquettes filled with a chive-crème and prosciutto. Then came dinner! So romantic and intimate! Very beautiful dining room but very sleek and cool at the same time! We were seated by the window overlooking Collins Ave and Miami Art Deco buildings. Pasta — The picture doesn’t do it justice, the most perfectly cooked pasta with a rich sauce bursting with onion and beef. We literally ate every bite of pasta and sauce. DUCK — This was new to the menu for the night and it did not disappoint! A trio of roasted and fried duck skin, melt in your mouth, earthy and juicy goodness. One of my favorite red meats! SWORDFISH — My personal favorite of the night! The cut swordfish was the«Filet Mignon» of seafood. Topped off with heirloom tomatoes and a very generous portion! Thank you to Shaun K, the general manager for such an incredible night! What a great restaurant /atmosphere! Would definitely come back and can’t stop raving to all my friends about one of the best meals I’ve ever had!

mmmmmazing. Ok, first lets start with the ambiance. The atmosphere alone would of almost gotten a solid 5 in my book. Loft style restaurant with beautiful floors and grey walls. The lighting was perfect and the floor to ceiling windows make it such a sexy sophisticated place. Just a tip: If you would like to sit by the windows, you need to make a reservation. It was kind of a tease to be seated in the middle of the restaurant when there was such a nice view by the windows. The only thing I did not like was the fact that the wine list was on an iPad. I’d must say, rather see the physical list with at least 40 wines on one page. It was kind of annoying to keep scrolling back trying to choose a wine. Our waiter Steve was a doll. Really nice and down to earth. I must say that dining at really nice restaurants sometimes entails being snooted by a waiter that’s mind is clouded by the fact that they must be extremely arrogant because they work at such a fancy shmancy place and that they personally paid for the glass you just cracked on the table, even though I’ve never done that. Kinda reminds me of the old ladies that work at Saks that have such humble attitudes. –Oh hey Betsy, you’re working here, NOT shopping here. k bye. Back to Steve, yeah he was awesome. Kuddos to him and his great service. Crowd Watching is awesome. My girlfriend and I caught the early bird 7p. m dinner and were pleasantly surprised when we encountered the Real Housewives of the Graveyard. Although they were all still alive, the muscles in their face were long gone. R.I.P FOOD: Simply amazing. Went here without any expectations at all and was floored. Contrary to my dinner at Katsuya where expectations were high and met with mediocre food like YamaYama SushiHama in Hialeah. Presentations are simple and pretty and the foods flavors are so nicely combined. The Avocado Salad was light and delicious. BEETSALADWOW. Comes with fennel marscapone cheese on the bottom. Little baby blueberries as well. The proscuitto croquettes were the best I have ever had in my life. No joke and I’m almost Cuban. 90 miles to be more exact. On my list this place only looses to The Bazaar by Jose Andres. I ordered more food too but I think I have already written enough. Go and be Merry.

I had high expectations. I thought it was generally good, just not great — a few moments of brilliance and a few of mediocrity. Atmosphere and Service The atmosphere of this place is very cool, with very much a SOBE«scene». The servers were friendly but missed a couple of marks(i.e. failed to fill empty water glasses, etc.). We were told that it is a «sharing plate» restaurant and that we should order 5 or 6 items for the two of us. This would have proven to have been way too many. We ordered 4 and didn’t finish the last. We tried to place our order for the first two items and we were told that we must place all orders at the same time. I generally hate doing that to avoid the uniquely American phenomenon of being served the next course while you’re still eating your prior course. To digress, imagine if you had a dinner party with friends over. You serve soup. As each guest finishes his bowl of soup, you clear each bowl as they finish. The message — the stragglers need to stop talking and hurry up with stuffing food down their gobs, this is not a social event. Then, before the last guest is finished his bowl, you present him with the next course. The message — finish your damn soup and I don’t care if your next dish gets cold. Or even worse, if everyone else is polite everyone’s dish gets cold while they wait. No normal person would find this polite and acceptable behaviour at home. Why does anyone tolerate it when we are paying for it? Eventually, they seemed to agree that we could stagger our order. But weirdly, they didn’t even tell us that they agreed to that. The first dishes just showed up. But OK, at least they did agree. We then placed our next order for two more dishes, and both arrived at the same time. So yes, one sat cooling while we ate the other. Also, they handed us an ipad to pick the wines. I find this too cute, and frankly not as easy to peruse as an old fashioned wine list. The obvious advantage is that it can be updated instantly to reflect the wines that the restaurant actually has. Yet bizarrely, when we finally settled on a Gigondas after considerable negotiation, we were subsequently told that it hadn’t arrived yet and we needed to pick another wine. I appreciate that that can happen, but someone took the effort of putting it on the ipad, just ahead of a busy Saturday night, when it didn’t exist — thereby defeating the one advantage of the cutesy ipad. When I’ve had this happen to me in other restaurants, sometimes the apology is coupled with an offer to substitute a similar, but more expensive wine, for the same price. We were only given alternate suggestions. Notwithstanding the above, the service was the right balance between friendly and professional(i.e. not stick up the ass white cloth, and not«hi my name is Chad I’ll be your server and do you mind if I sit down too»). Food We started with the tuna tartare. This turned out to be the highlight of the meal. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with a touch of sweetness and acid. Some bites hinged on overly salty, but otherwise no complaints. It was delicious. We then had the rabbit terrine with a yogurt sauce. It was only ok. We both felt that it was missing something. It was perfectly fine, just not memorable. The next dish up was the grilled shortribs with Jerusalem artichoke and meyer lemon. We both thought this dish was in the running for top dish of the night. The shortribs were cooked to absolute perfection, the combination of the artichoke and the lemon had the ideal ying and yang to match the dish. This and the tuna were 5 star dishes, no question. At the same time as the shortribs, we received the lamb shank. We both thought this dish had presentational issues, both in terms of how it looked and how it came apart on the plate while we shared it. Once we laced into it, it turned into a yellowish orangy blob of meat. It did not look great to begin with, but it looked like something from a school cafeteria once we got into it. Flavor wise, it was the most mediocre dish of the evening. There was nothing wrong with it, but it turned into eating a pile of lamb shank with a creamy sauce, and nothing to make it stand out of the pack. If it were a mid-priced dish at a mid-priced restaurant, I would consider it fine. But it failed to soar above that. So to sum up: some hits, some misses, pretty decent place. I wouldn’t avoid it on my next trip, but I wouldn’t seek it out either. The service was friendly, the atmosphere and people watching were first rate — so if that’s your thing you might really like it.

Let me start by saying that this place was SO incredible that I came out of my Unilocal review writing boycott in order to review 1826. I’m visiting Miami for the weekend and I was told 1826 was *the* spot to try. I’m so glad that I did! We strolled in a bit late after a quick change of clothes from our airplane attire. Even though we were on the later side(and they definitely accommodated by keeping staff late) you would never have known. The staff was beyond knowledgeable about the food and we’re extremely professional. The food was superb. The chef is a 2 star Michelin chef.(The only in Miami.) The menu is set up into 3 categories comprising meat, seafood and vegetables. We were started off with two types of bread, one of which was stuffed with bacon, and two spreads. We ordered the lobster & crab which came with an amazing pastis foam. We also had the pasta vongole which was surprisingly light. Prior to our entrées, we shared a Ceasar salad which was probably one of the best I’ve eaten. For dessert we shared gelato. Unfortunately, I was unable to try a drink from the vast cocktail menu as we shared a bottle of champagne. As for the ambiance, the place is beautifully designed. I was told that the décor was by a Moroccan designer. It’s 4 stories are made up by the entrance, dining room, a lounge/bar and the owners table. The whole place is modern and sophisticated yet it gives a homey feel where necessary. This is a great new addition to the Miami staples.

I was a bit disappointed by 1826, especially considering the praise it’s gotten recently and Chef Danny Grant’s Michelin stars. But the food, the service, the bar/lounge, and the unique concept of the location on Collins Ave. add up to 4 stars for me. When we arrived for our Saturday night reservation, we were promptly taken to … the worst table in the house? What gives? A group of young, attractive women dressed to the nines, and we get shown to the broken booth corner table all the way in the back?! After we asked to be re-seated, we were taken to a window table looking out over Collins. This really should have been a no-brainer from the start, and definitely started things out on the wrong foot for me. Our server was outstanding, but his name escapes me. He was eager to describe every item on the menu, the presentation, and make recommendations for our curious group. The menu is divided into 3 sections — The Harvest, The Hook, and The Hunt — featuring veggies, seafood, and meat, respectively. Each section has selections varying in size, with the smaller options at the top. We were sharing dishes, and compiled a real mix-and-match menu for ourselves. We ordered the cucumber gazpacho, the heirloom beet salad, the Florida avocado salad and the charred shishito peppers from the Harvest section, the tuna tartare two-ways and the poached lobster, king crab and scallop dumplings from the Hook section, and the grilled short rib from the Hunt. Everything was tasty, but the standouts for me were the poached lobster with king crab and scallop dumplings and the grilled short rib. I would return for those 2 dishes. The tuna tartare was tasty as well. I must also mention the bread service — you’re given the choice of 2 types — with bacon or with olives. Both are outstanding, but the olive-bread was the clear favorite at our table that evening. We were able to bring our unfinished bottle of champagne up to the lounge after we finished dinner, so that was a nice touch. The lounge was pretty packed for early-ish on a Saturday evening. The music was good, but there wasn’t really space for dancing, which is disappointing. Overall, 1826 is a winner for concept, tasty food, and a great setting. If the portions were a touch bigger or the prices a tad lower, and if not for that seating snafu at the beginning of our experience, 1826 would’ve gotten 5 stars from me.

Trust me I’m shocked by my 3 star review. I walked in expecting to be blown away by the food and sadly that was not the case. I don’t think I need to rave about the ambiance. It’s South Beach, it’s a «see and be seen» restaurant and they do a great job with the simplistic design. It’s absolutely beautiful from head to toe. 5 stars for sure. The service I’ll give 4 stars. It started out at 5 stars when the restaurant was 1⁄3 full when we were sat at 8pm. By 10pm the restaurant was ¾ full and our waters stopped getting refilled as promptly. Also our initial waitress seemed to have handed us off to another waitress by the end of the evening — not a big deal for me but it may bug others. I must note though that our initial server Samantha was awesome. She probably should be working in advertising as she had such a great sales pitch selling the concept, menu and restaurant as a whole. Drinks — I tried a drink called something like«Make You Feel Something»? A rum based drink that was really good. Steven C. had a drink whose name escapes us, but it may have had«midnight» in the name — orange and bourbon and was a bit too strong for me, but he enjoyed. For South Beach I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. Food. This is where my disappointment comes from. I’m strongly rating my review based on the food as I believe the service and ambiance should be givens. There were a few redeeming dishes but my general average would probably be at around 2.5 stars. I should note that as a whole the presentation of all the dishes was 5+ stars. *The fresh baked bread — this comes out to start. No complaints and the olive tapenade was great! *The Beef Tartare — 4 mini«ice cream cones». Great presentation but the flavor was lacking and not great. *Yellowfin Tuna Tartate — again great presentation that was lacking something in taste for me. The olive chips on the side were quite lovely though. *Foie Gras — I actually had to force myself to eat this dish. I love foie gras but this did not taste right to me. *Cucumber Gazpacho — again another dish that I almost had to force myself to eat. Not tasty although the liquid nitrogen snow they put on top was again a great presentation. *Artichoke Gnocchi — we almost didn’t order this dish. Thank god we did as this was the only thing I’d go back for and funnily enough was one of the cheapest. I wanted to lick the plate. *Sweet Corn Pasta — good but average at best. It wasn’t anything better than a pasta dish from a fast casual restaurant. *Truffle Risotto — before coming here I was already trying to justify spending $ 50 on this plate. When the menu listed it at $ 40 instead of the $ 50 I had seen online I figured it was justification enough. The dish was good but only 4 stars good. I loved the fresh shaved truffle on top that was shaved right at our table but for such a small dish priced so high I felt as though it should leave me wanting to go back there and kiss the chef. *Chocolate Ganache — despite the slate plate sending chills down my spine every time my fork scraped against it, the dish was quite good. The flour cakey pieces on top of the ganache didn’t work for me at first but by the end they had grown on me. Steven C. of course ended his meal with coffee. Again awesome presentation with the sugar packets and sugar cubes. The check came out in a little box with two small cake bites. So again presentation here has not been overlooked at any step. Sadly, I won’t be back. I do regret not going up to the lounge to check it out so perhaps I’d come back for a drink but not for food. I left pretty disappointed.

The place is the whole building… brand new amazing glass box(4 stores I think) super chic and modern. I go to a lot of fancy restaurants, lounges etc in south beach and brickell and this one by far is one of my favorites already. I went up to the 3rd floor to see the lounge which I don’t think is fully open yet and I couldn’t stop getting goosebumps because it is really beautiful and grand! I loved this one signature cocktail I tried called«strawberry incense» I believe that’s the name. It was made from real fruit not that crappy stuff from cans. No doubt this place was designed to be 6 star, private jetting customers etc, not your typical bang for the buck«ma and pa» restaurant down the block. The portions are small but amazing food presentation and divine taste(at least 90% of the stuff I tried). My impression of what they are trying to achieve here is an overall high class nightlife experience in one place, 6 star dinning and then going up for drinks and dance at the lounge. Which is cool. I never heard of a 6 star«all you can eat buffet» venue with a fancy lounge/club in the same place. So I don’t think the small portions for like 10,12 bucks was a big deal at all. And no I’m not rich but I do appreciate the fine things in life and know the cost and value of things. Nothing is free in this life. All my friends who came with me(we had a big table) also agreed because they too are used to going to high class places to eat and didn’t think the prices were bad or good just standard for this type of place. Ok back to the food. So beautiful and yummy. My favs were the risotto, short ribs, king crab, cucumber gazpacho and leek croquette, chocolate banana desert and the other coconut desert. I also love their tea next time I have to ask for the name of the brand! I forgot. Oh yeah the foie gras was the best I had in miami so far… and I’ve been living in miami for 15 years… been and go to a lot of places where they serve very good ones but this one they served me there really impressed me and my friends. I’m giving it 5 stars because of the amazing experience we all had. Will definitely go there again very soon and recommend to my friends and clients. I also am going to post some pictures of what I really liked about the place. Decoration, plates etc.
