I can’t believe it burned down earlier last week 3÷31÷15. I really hope they rebuild and open again soon. This place was really good and really quick. One lunch plate was enough food for me and my wife to split.

THIS PLACE BURNED DOWN THE WEEK AFTER I POSTED THIS. Not sure they well reopen. It’s disappointing. I really like this place! There chicken Shwarma and gyro have a really good char that tastes great. They also have good hummus. I haven’t really tried anything else, but I have been a few times and definitely enjoy it. I have only been at night and it’s always empty. I hope they make it!

My Husband and I LOVE this place! I will NEVER eat at Byblos on Metairie Road again. Old Metry can keep their overpriced Mediterranian pre-​packaged «Greek-Applebee’s» style food. This place is the bomb! Much care and attention to details and the food is top notch and plenty of it… plenty. Staff is very sweet and caring and… even though it is an ‘express’…the food is miles better than those other places.

I had a really good lunch here today. The chicken shwarma had a lot more flavor and spice than most Mediterranean restaurants, and the salad was full of cucumbers and tomatoes. I will definitely be back.

This is some top-​notch Mediterranean fare served up very quickly (and pleasantly) at very reasonable prices. I haven’t had a bad meal, yet. And if you don’t like Mediterranean food, just come for the fries. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Why do good Mediterranean places always have the best fries? I don’t know, but they do, especially this one. But they have a lot more than fries, and so far, I’ve been happy with all of it. Grab a great lunch for ten or twelve bucks.

The food is great. The lamb and chicken are seasoned perfectly and the salad is excellent. I’m down in NOLA for business and I chose to eat here two days in a row when I could’ve eaten anywhere in New Orleans that I wanted. The food came out so hot and quick. This place was great. Who knows I may go back a third time before I leave.

This place is soooooo GREAT. It’s the same Romans from Baton Rouge which has been around so many years and a favorite of so many. This is does NOT disappoint! The combo chicken schwarma/​Gyro platter is nothing but PERFECTION! The meat is seasoned so well and given generously over rice with creamy hummus and a great salad. The salad dressing is delicious. Add a nice warm pita and you’ve got a great meal. Do yourself a favor and stop in. I guarantee you get addicted!

This Mediterranean restaurant at the corner of Causeway and West Esplanade is recently under new ownership and branding. The new owners have paired the menu down to essentials with a focus on efficient service. My chicken schwarma plate was served in less than three minutes. The meal was delicious with creamy hummus and Greek sauce, lean, high-​quality chicken and fresh salad and pita. The service was friendly. A great choice if you live or work near the Causeway corridor and are looking for a healthy, fast meal.
