One of the most underrated restaurants in the New Orleans metro area. Fantastic seafood/steaks/gumbo. Doesn’t matter what you get here!

The food is good, but don’t get to-go orders from here. They will make you wait 30 minutes at the restaurant for your food. Called at 6:45 and at 7:30 the food still wasn’t ready.

I wanted to give two stars, but then I remembered how good the onion rings were. Mmmm. the onion rings were really good! I use to come to this place quite often two years ago just for crawfish. The first time I went that season the crawfish were incredible. Every time I went back they were just okay, I kept thinking that one day they would be incredible again. Last year I discovered Bevi’s and decided to go there for crawfish. Unfortunately, Bevi’s is closed on Tuesdays and my boyfriend’s family wanted to take him out for his birthday this past Tuesday. We ended up coming here. The ambience is nice but everything else falls kind of flat for me(except for the onion rings). The table we were sitting at was sticky which doesn’t typically bother me but we had a baby with us who kept putting her little hands on the table. I asked the server if they had crawfish and she told me «I think so». I didn’t see anyone else in the whole place eating crawfish, so I decided not to order them. We ordered onion rings(delicious) and fried eggplant sticks(not bad, not great) for appetizers. I didn’t see anything on the menu that really caught my eye. I wasn’t in the mood for fried shrimp or fried fish and all the meals that looked/sounded good were pretty pricey. I decided to be healthy and order the chicken breast with cajun potatoes. Huge mistake! The chicken was pretty gross. It was two huge pieces that were dry and rubbery. It reminded me of a cafeteria meal. I was the only one who at the table who didn’t enjoy their food, so I guess that is what I get for ordering chicken at a seafood place lol.

The stuffed trout was good, but the service was horrible. My friends and I went here last night. The server came to our table and took our order and brought out our foods and that’s about it. The server was friendly but definitely not attentive. I think it must be company policy to add the tip to the bill because an 18% gratuity was added to all our tickets. I can only assume that’s why the waiter didn’t really give us the time of day because she knew was getting a pretty big tip regardless. After we ate, a different waitress came to the table and took our payment and we left. As we drove off, the manager and 3 servers came out to“confront“my friend about skipping out on the bill. One of the make servers stood in front of the car like he was stopping us from driving off. Apparently the server had only rang her up for one meal instead of two. My friend thought she rang them up separately so she signed the two receipts the server left. We sat there for 10 – 15 minutes after signing the receipts and giving them to the server, so the fact that they came out as if we were trying to steal was highly offensive and embarrassing. Needless to say I will never dine here again.

Always pleased with the food and service. The fried seafood is always done well and not greasy. Always a stop when in town.

STAYAWAYAWFULFOODANDGNATS… Does not deserve this one star. TRUSTME!!! The worst FOOD ive ever had in my life and the gnats were unbearable. This place is filthy and full of gnats. Theres no way to possibly enjoy a meal here. The chardboiled oyster were extremely over cooked and rubbery. Everything else smelled and taste like it came out the microwave. I sent my food back and my daughters as well. There was no way i could eat and swing at gnats at the same time. My cousin took a couple of bites of hers but her stomach wouldnt allow her to eat it because of all the gnats flying around our table. There was at least 6 gnats at our table. I asked to speak to a manager about the food and the gnats. The server looked for the manager/owner for at least 15mins and then said they were gone Again. He looked frustrated and tired. We had to put napkins over the plates and the drinks extremely unacceptable. The server was very nice about it and tried to knock the gnats away He said they have been having a problem with gnats a while now. I will never return to this place again. If you like eating nasty food while batting away gnats have at it. Just remember to not ask for a manager because they careless about customers and service. Im sure all of there customers are 1 time guest!

Really a 2.5 rating. The food was good, but everything else… meh. Here’s the lowdown: We came here with another couple on the recommendation of another friend. I called to make a reservation for that Saturday evening. The girl on the phone told me they do not take reservations but I can call just ahead to get on the waiting list. I called about 15 minutes before we were going to be there to be put on the waiting list and the guy on the phone told me they don’t do that. ?? Huh? We arrived there and the place was packed. It was very cold that night. Too cold to be standing outside and it was too smoky out there with the smokers anyway. So we crammed up near the bar and front desk. It was ridiculous. People jammed tight in this tiny space and the servers trying to get by us with plates of food. Kind of gross if you think about it. I know video poker machines are popular and make money for businesses here in Louisiana, but really they should move their video poker booth somewhere else at this restaurant. It is completely in the way of the«waiting area». That whole space could be much better suited for people to wait rather than have people breathing and coughing over the plates of food coming out of the kitchen. We were seated after about 15 – 20 minutes. The table was grimy and sticky. We asked the girl if she could wipe down the table. She said the table is just like that and it’s the wood — that it won’t wash off. Huh?! It was disgusting. Everything sticking to the table. The menu is very large but it’s also very misleading. We all ordered meals that included one side that you could pick from the list of sides. Some of us wanted to also add an additional baked potato or sweet potato fries. The server told us that it doesn’t work that way and we would have to pay much extra to get that — even though the menu says otherwise. Grr… Everyone at our table was basically satisfied with their meals. The prices for the meals are high. However, the portions are generous. I will say they have excellent sweet potato fries. They have murals all over the walls depicting scenes from the French Quarter(hence the name). It was pretty. They have high ceilings though and the acoustics are terrible. The place is extremely loud and noisy. We had to yell to each other at times to understand what the other was saying. They added on a whole other wing to the restaurant. We thought this was going to be for regular dining, but it appears to just be for private parties. We decided to get dessert elsewhere.

Poor service, extremely loud and crowded! Was seated at a table that was not clean. Waitress was overwhelmed and did a horrible job at serving several tables. Waited 10 – 15 minutes for refills and napkins. But once the bill came, some how service became better… Now I remember why I only visited this place once before! This was my last!!!

I live close to this place and absolutely love it. The staff is always friendly and nice. The food is amazing, hot and fresh. I would go as early as possible, due to having to wait a little while on a table, if you go there past 7 or 8 at night. If you do have to wait though, it will be well worth it. The stuffed trout is delicious btw.

Came in with some coworkers for dinner while on travel at the recommendation of local colleagues. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. The stuffed fish with pasta was AMAZING! A ton of food so no one went home hungry.

Atmosphere is nice. The chargrilled oysters were subpar. They seemed very over cooked and odd tasting. The bathroom also smelled of sewer.

This is a nice place to go with families. Atmosphere is fun and loud. We had the captains seafood platter with added soft shell crab(extra $ 5.95). It was average taste… Batter was not crunchy. Tarter sauce was good but runny. Mash potatoes with brown gravy was not homemade which was disappointing. I also had strawberry daiquiri but it was too icy and I can tell they used syrups not fresh strawberries($ 9.00). We wanted to try desert so we ordered the bread pudding… not what we were expecting. It came out square blob with raisins and what we assumed to be pumpkins but it was canned peaches inside. There was no bread pieces that we found. All in all I am pretty disappointed and will not be back. Our total bill was almost $ 60 with tip. They suggest 18% tip however I don’t believe tipping 18% unless it’s a fancier joint… this was a casual diner at best. Service was good. Our waitress was nice.

So Friday night(5⁄22) my boyfriend and I decided to go to dinner for my birthday, which was the previous day. We invited another couple out and had a great time. We arrived first, and decided to walk in and get a table to sit at while we wait for the rest of our party. Our waitress was absolutely PHENOMENAL. She was a VERY kind woman.(I wish I could have gotten her name for the sake of the review!) She was swift, would joke around with us and made us feel at home. She took our drink order while we waited and asked us if we wanted to begin with appetizers or just hang out for now. We chose to wait a bit. She said it was no problem and walked away. Soon our party arrived, and they got their drinks. My boyfriend and I ordered Fried Pickles and the Onion Rings, and the other couple ordered cheese fries. We all LOVED the appetizers. The portion sizes are HUGE, so be warned. For our main dishes I got the full sized Muffalatta, my boyfriend got the 16oz ribeye with grilled shrimp on top, and the others got the angel hair pasta with shrimp and what appeared to be a Cajun sauce, and chicken tenders with a double order of fries. All in all, we had an AMAZING time and will DEFINITELY be returning and I will suggest to all of my friends to check you guys out!!!

Excellent service, excellent food, great atmosphere. When you go you must try the Jazz rolls appetizer. They do have a limited drink menu though, despite saying full bar. It is really only beer and about 5 daiquiris. We will defiantly go back if we are in the area again.

Loved the BBQ Shrimp and Boiled Crawfish! The sauce for the BBQ Shrimp is incredible! Ask for extra bread to sop the sauce with. The Crawfish is spicy and had a bit of a kick to it. On Tuesdays, Boiled Crawfish is $ 2.99 per pound with purchase of a beverage. If you check-in on Facebook, you’ll receive a complimentary Bread Pudding. We enjoyed our dinner last night and the excellent service. Our cousins from Northern California loved it too!

We have been going to this place for years and have never been disappointed. They’ve been in business for a long time and have finally grown enough to expand in size. The food is outstanding. I had the Veal Orleans, which I posted a picture of on here. My wife had the Lemon Broiled Fish, which was also very good. My mom in the past has gotten the stuffed trout, which is a crowd favorite. The Quarter Hearts are yummy as an appetizer option. They do an excellent job of handling large parties. We had 11 in ours, I saw another table with 11, another with 8, and another with 12. They do a great job of managing groups, and it reflects on their management staff. They do have a U-shaped bar with drink options, and video poker for those inclined to try to win back the money they spend on their meal.
