Good crawfish! We didn’t enjoy the potatoes. My friend and I LOVE the Bevi’s on Carrolton so we tried this one because it’s closer. Compared to the other Bevi’s it is definitely not as great.

The best boiled seafood in the area. The crawfish are huge and the seasoning is perfect. All the staff are friendly. Great place.

The poboys french bread was very hard and barely had anything on it. I ordered a roast beef and shrimp, I ended up throwing them both in the trash because it was uneatable. I will never try them again. I will stick with Manos Poboys and seafood on David dr.

Food may be good here, but they are ripoff artists for boiled. Bevi boiled crabs are sold«per pound». Bought 1.5 dozen delicious, full, fat boiled crabs at another local seafood market, paying $ 17.99 a dozen. Cost for the 1.5 dozen at this market was $ 27. Had the guys weigh for me to see how much I would have been charged at Bevi for the same amount, using their«per pound» method… Bevi would have cost over $ 56!!! Sad.

$ 3 per lb of crawfish?! Unheard of in NYC and you bet bet we took advantage of it. My boyfriend and I split 4 lbs of crawfish, sides of corn and potatoes, and a large gumbo. Beyond words. Unassuming décor but the service is quick and friendly & the food is yummy and cheap. What more could you want from a lunch spot? I wish I could take this place back up to NYC with me it was so good. Can’t wait to visit in the future. Unilocal proves itself to be clutch yet again.

Shrimp noT fresh. Crumbles as you peel as if a result of cooking, freezing, and thawing. Order of oysters are breaded and fried, if you like it that way. Don’t waste your money in their stuffed Artichoke. People around us seem to enjoy peel and eat crawfish. First time I walk out of a restaurant leaving my greater than 80% of my food behind. $ 50 total bill

Came to this joint because my roommate recommended it. Links and reviews have popped up and it seemed like a nice seafood joint to try. Last week it was $ 3.99 a pound and $ 4.25 for Select(bigger sized crawfish). As sweet server stood behind the counter and took our order. Then she turned around and scooped the crawfish from a huge bucket into our personal trays. There are only about 4 tables to sit and eat — all 4 tops. You can get a combo side platter for $ 10. It comes with potatoes, two corn, sausage links, and mushrooms. We got this and split it since each side individually was $ 2.99. The corn was perfectly seasoned, not too spicy. The other items were okay, I guess because the corn soaked up more flavor. Onto the flavor of the crawfish. I usually frequent Cajun Persuasion which is spicy and powerfully flavored. Bevi seafood is quite the opposite. Each crawfish tastes good and is flavored well but not as powerful or spicy. The spicy-ness kicks in after about a pound. I got 3 pounds and was super satisfied. You can drink can soda or glass bottled rootbeer. They even had Abita King Cake and Root Beer. They also have cute little mason jars and a bucket of ice to make your own water. Overall, I would come back again but it wouldn’t be my go to spot. It’s nice to switch up crawfish joints every once in a while, but I love the spice power Cajun has. Also, parking is not going to be easy on a busy afternoon since there is only parking on the side of the building.

Damn good! When you pull up and have to park in the street on a side road you know it’s good. Order at the counter, wait in line for a table or seat at the bar. I got the Oyster and Artichoke Bisque and a half an oyster po-boy. Loved it all. The oysters were nice and plump, perfectly fried. I could have made a meal off the bisque alone. Quick in and out unless you want to stay, have a beer and chat a while.

I normally love the place and I send people because I only eat crawfish from here, Dennis’, Capt Sids or Kenner Seafood .I’ve been told by friends that they were bland and mushy… I’m thinking no way. well I came this past Sunday and I didn’t see the owner not that he has to be here but hope he reads these reviews because someone is definitely not following your recipe. and it was about 1:45 on a Sunday and they close at 3:00, water should have been nice and spiced up. crawfish were not spicy and extremely mushy. I’ve been coming here since it was Riverpond(previous name/owner).things have been not the same lately. Still love the creole coleslaw. but will not be returning for crawfish for sometime and hope they work the kinks out

Im always down to support a mom and pop business. The food is spot on in this little bitty place. You order at the counter and a few minutes later your food has arrived. The prices are a little high. $ 16 for a fried oyster caesar salad? Not crazy about the seeds on the poboy bread either. Besides those 2 negatives, I still plan to patronize this business. The bbq shrimp are delicious! The crawfish were ok, not too spicy. Love the self serve water and tea station, gives it a little country feel in the city.

Super disappointed. Reserved two sacks of fresh oysters tonight for my New Year’s Eve bash, and when I pull up to the airline location it is completely shut down before closing(even though the girl on the phone assured me they would be open their usual hours when I placed the order). Called the other location, spoke with DJ who informed me that they never had the oysters to fulfill the order anyway. He was very nice and professional, but I just can’t figure out why I couldn’t get a courtesy call since they took my number down??? He offered me a good deal on a sack of crawfish or oysters in the future, but what does that really do for myself and my guests now? I can’t say I’ll be coming back based purely on carelessness for returning customers. So so disappointed.

If there were an option for 3 and ½ stars I may have given that. The place itself is very small and they lack attention to detail. Empty sweetener jar by the tea, empty hot sauce bottle, etc. the food was very good, but a bit high on the prices. My fiancé and I split the Smokey oyster and the Peacemaker. The oyster was good but needed a sauce or something to tie it all together. The peacemaker was delicious. We would go back, to try other sandwiches.

Interesting, «corner shack»(by design) exterior or neighborhood joint interior. Located right on U.S. Hwy. 61(Airline Drive), this place is easy to find. For the children, we ordered chicken fingers and fries(you order at the counter). For us, we ordered two Fried Seafood Platters, which came with large portions of oysters, shrimp, catfish, all piled on top of French fries with a bit of red potato salad. The food was perfectly spiced and fried, with not the least bit of greasiness. We absolutely loved it and would totally recommend it. RJT

We have gotten boiled crabs here several times, and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately, yesterday we tried to pick up some dinner from Bevi’s at about 5:30 — 5:45 pm. I tried calling in advance to place our order, and there was no answer. We decided to still drive there to order in person, and pick up the food. When we arrived, they were completely closed… their published hours are that they close at 6:00 pm on Thursdays. I would understand closing early if they only sold boiled seafood and ran out, but that is not the case! They have a full menu of po-boys, etc. I truly feel that if a business has posted hours, they should honor those hours of business.

You know how you always crave Chick-fil-A on Sundays? Same deal with Bevi on Tuesdays. Get out of my head and into my belly. Justin and his crew really bring some huge flavor and perfectly executed technique to the table. They flawlessly deliver on some classic NOLA dishes with classic NOLA flavors. Arguably the best crawfish in town(when in season). It must be the addition of blood oranges in the boil itself… or the crack he sprinkles on top. Either way, there is something illegal going on there and I like it. And makes me itch and twitch when I can’t have it. Why do yall have to be so close to my test kitchen? Couldn’t you have considered my affinity for your food? Why post up less than a mile from me? Literally like dangling a carrot in font of a donkey. Or a bottle of Jameson in front of me. Works every time. I’m so weak. On the real… Glad to hear about your second location soon to open in MidCity. That’s going to be huge(for both of us). 4 Points to make: STAYOPENLATER. OPENEARLIER.(basically stay open 24 hours) DELIVERDIRECTLYTOMYHOUSE. WHYTUESDAYS???

Since this joint was rated best crawfish in some local publication in the spring, I had to check them out. And the crawfish they were solid. However, the potatoes and corn I purchased were inedible because they were soooo spicy. I actually had stopped in first thing when they opened and the crawfish weren’t ready yet so I passed back by later in the day. So glad I made the effort. I’m making myself sad typing this review up since crawfish are done until next spring… yes you can still buy them someplaces, but you will most likely be unhappy with the quality. I need to get back over there to try their fried shrimp and gumbo.

Great little unassuming place. Had the combo poboy dressed with everything and it was yum. The«regular fries» are actually these delicious battered seasoned fries that make sauce seem obsolete. Beer was served in a great big frosty glass. They sell fish uncooked or will boil it for you. Makes me wish I had more time in town to take a few people here to eat I overheard someone mentioning opening another location so be sure you’re headed in the right direction but it’d be worth it to do some extra driving if needed. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be looking for this one again.

Ugh, I don’t normally give 5 star reviews, but this place was an exception. All of crawfish season, I frequented this place and loved it. However, a week or two ago, I came here and had a completely different experience, so I am going to have to knock it down one. My boyfriend and I arrived 10 minutes before six on a Friday night and were told«You are getting it to go, right? Because we are closing.» I hadn’t realized they were closing at six, but I knew the crawfish were so good that to-go sounded alright. We waited for over ten minutes to get the crawfish and within those few minutes, I just felt that the cashier/server girl was very rude. She kept bagging random bags of crawfish while we were the only ones inside of the restaurant. Eventually a male worker(the cook I’m assuming) asked her who she was bagging all of the crawfish for. She said there was a couple that ordered 20 lbs., but she didn’t see them and were worried they weren’t coming back. Instead of just bagging our crawfish she worried about this situation and kept going back and forth with the man who worked there. Eventually they figured it out. The man had already given that couple their crawfish. So, we finally got our crawfish and left. They were not very good. It is almost the end of crawfish season, so I’ll give them that, but it was a huge disappointment. If this had been our only experience, I’d give them 2 stars, but because I had so many other positive experiences in the last few months I’m giving them 4.

Who knew this gourmet poboy gem was hidden here?! All these years I thought it was just a seafood market. Thanks Unilocalers! I read the reviews and checked out their menu and we have returned a few times now for take out. Driving by, the place is very unassuming and small. Inside is a quaint and colorful restaurant, seafood market and bar. We generally call ahead and they have our poboys ready in about 15 minutes. The bread for their poboys is the kind with the seeds on top. Our favorites are the Roast Beef poboy(minus the horseradish mayo they are so fond of using) and The Cure poboy. The Cure is an interesting combination of hot sausage patties, over easy eggs and pepper jelly mayo… Yum! In addition, they have plate lunches, soups and salads, as well as fresh seafood and boiled seafood. They have a small bar on one side and the other side has a few tables for those that would like to eat there. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. *Note* — They are closed on Tuesdays. However, they are open on Sundays, which is even better.

This place is awesome! I happened to be staying in the Metairie for a couple days and stumbled on this place looking for some crawfish. Clearly, a local favorite as the line for take out on a Friday night was non-stop. Guys were coming in and grabbing two 30+ pound bags of fresh caught crawfish. The eat in option works the same as take out, but they then deliver food to your table. Full bar service compliments the delicious menu. I kinda went all out with an order of crawfish, a dozen oysters, and a bowl of gumbo. Followed by a lb. of boiled shrimp and a smokey oyster po-boy with a huge goblet of the seasonal Abita. Everything was fantastic and the girls running the counter were kicking butt with the ever hungry crowd rolling through the door. Fun spot and definitely stop by if you are in the area!

I must have driven past this place for years before I finally decided to check it out and I’m sad it took me so long to come here! I’ve now become a regular customer for when I want really great, fresh, local seafood. They offer boiled crawfish and I always find their pricing to be on the lower side of the spectrum in comparison to the competition in the area. My favorite poboy is the Smokey Oyster(Fried Oysters with smoked gouda cheese and pastrami bacon) The oysters were a good size and tasted great lightly fried with a cornmeal batter. They are rather generous with the amount of gouda they put on there so through the thick french bread you still get the taste of rich smokey gouda cheese. I have also gotten to try the Peacemaker(Shrimp, roast beef debris and Swiss cheese) The shrimp are big and cooked to perfection. The roast beef debris is just enough to add flavor but not so much that it becomes a sloppy soggy mess. They also have healthier options. Their caesar salad with blackened shrimp is awesome. The salad comes with mixed greens and romaine which I loved. It’s a small place and if you aren’t looking for it, you could miss it. During lunch its always packed with people noshing on boiled seafood and poboys. The people working are always friendly and the wait time is never too long so its great for when you are on lunch break.

I was visiting my friend in NOLA and in search of a clambake experience. I was fixated on it. Looked up some places and found that Bevi offered crawboil. Off we went. Note, this place is not centrally located, and you definitely need a car to get there. I went overboard and got crawfish boil(crawfish, corn, sausage potatoes, garlic, etc.), fresh oysters, and shrimp(cooked and sauteed in buttery sauce). Yes, I overdozed on seafood by far, but I got my fix. Servers were friendly and helpful, showing me how to eat crawfish. I get the feeling most people come here for sandwiches or take out, yet they were happy to comply with my seafood-crazy requests.

On Airline Hwy between Capital One bank and Harry’s Dive shop sits Bevi Seafood in a little red house. This tiny seafood market/restaurant with 5 tables and a counter has knocked the untouchable Mr Bs BBQ Shrimp off its pedastool(and for half the price). I don’t have much else to say. They do classic New Orleans seafood in the best way possible. On and offsite boils, poboys, BBQ shrimp and daily specials. The frills are all on the plate and they got some cold drinks in the ice box baby.
