First time in here and I got a grilled chicken sandwich, chill cheese fries and a vanilla malt milkshake and I’ve no complaints. Everything was good.

Drove past here and decided we needed to stop in. Come here for the root beer! Fairly certain it could turn anyone into a rootbeer lover! The burgers are good, classic. Nothing crazy, but still good. The best thing is the rootbeer! Now I’ll never be able to drink another kind.

We got some dinner to go from here last Friday night. I love the old 50’s diner theme décor inside. The turquoise and chrome is very cool and fun. They have a large menu to choose from. They also have weeknight plate specials. We got 2 poboys and fries. I also got their soup of the day. While we waited for our order we saw they have a separate old fashioned ice cream parlor/counter where you can get ice cream, sundaes, shakes, malts, coffee drinks and cookies, etc. We ate our food at home. The roast beef poboy was excellent. It had the shredded pot roast meat and the flavor of the gravy was really good. The Chicken Enchilada Soup had good flavor but was a little too thick. It seemed more of a dip for the tortilla chips. I would definitely come back again for the roast beef poboy. The hamburgers looked good too.

Frostop was a favorite of mine as a kid and I’m pleased to say that this place still has the same good ol burgers, fries and of course root beer floats! The lot o burger with cheese is my favorite. It’s a thin patty and it comes on a sesame seed bun, shredded cheddar and a blend of mayo and mustard. Their fries are nothing special so don’t be shy and just go ahead and order them with chili and cheese on top. The root beer floats are awesome, not sure what they put in their root beer but it’s just perfect! Since this is a locally owned and operated place you will find the menu has so much more than just burgers and fries. They have a long list of wraps, seafood poboys, and more to please an array of pallets. The service is always friendly. It’s a order and pay at the counter style joint, but they bring the food to your table so don’t forget to throw them a few bones.

Not the healthiest place to eat at but we already knew that! We’ve been customers since they were in the River Ridge location. Their chicken & sausage gumbo was/is always good. The hamburgers satisfactory. My husband loves their chili cheese fries when he’s in the mood for comfort food. My daughter loves their root beer float. We’ve always been happy with what we’ve ordered so far. Staff is always friendly!

The little neon sign with the root beer float mug was so intriguing, that we decided to stop in this past weekend. This is a great diner that hits the nostalgic spot for small places that I had been to in my childhood(records on the wall, vinyl booths, oldies playing). You order at the front and they bring the food out to you. There were a descent amount of people coming in and out on a Saturday afternoon. Food-wise: — Root beer float $ 2.39: while I wish there was more ice cream(always wish there was more ice cream!), the waitress refilled out root beer multiple times, which was awesome — Side of chili cheese fries $ 3.75: small plate, which turned out to be really filling. I was glad it didn’t come larger since I would have gotten sick eating it all — Combo lot-o burger with cheddar cheese, chili, fries and sub root beer float for fountain drink $ 9.40: pretty good burger with fresh/crispy fries — In total + tax(without tip), the meal was $ 16.90 for two people. Not bad at all! The experience was 3.5 for good old-fashioned diner food, 5 for the service. The women working there(was only women that day) were all very nice, helpful, and friendly. I’m glad we stopped in!

Came here with my SO this past weekend for a quick bite. But it turned out to be not so quick. There were only two people ahead of us in line, and it still took 10 minutes to get to the front and order. I had a club sandwich, she had a burger. Should be simple and quick, but took another 15 minutes. It was all good, but they needed more people working(they only had 2).

Root beer is the best thing here, hands down. Staff is friendly, but they need to do something with those raggedy fries. Maybe its because im such a fry advocate, but their so bland and taste old. Those are just how the fries are there in genereal. Other than that, everything else is good.

Randomly tried this place because we were hungry and this was the first place we saw. Got the cool old school diner vibe, people were nice and friendly. Just wish they had the food to match it. We had the following: — Double Lot-O Burger — the patties taste like frozen patties, lack of flavor and just wasn’t a good patty overall. And to get it doubled? Couldn’t finish this. The fries however were delicious. They also have their house root beer, which is delicious. I would probably not eat here again.

Great burgers, poboys, and root beer floats. Love going to this place for great service and food. The staff is great. The dining room is clean with plenty of room. It’s a very family friendly place. I highly recommend it.

There aren’t many nostalgia themed places like this one. I like the feeling of the good old days when life was simpler. The lot o burger with cheese is yummy. But my main draw are their root beer floats. they are made with their own root beer which I almost think they had floats in mind when the created it. It goes together like pb & j. Its overflowing with vanilla ice cream in a frozen mug. Mmmmm

Well I thought since the Frostop in uptown was good that this place would be just as good. Boy was I wrong! I went in at 10 o’clock this morning the place didn’t have that many people in it(I wonder why). When I got in the manager(or at least I think he was) told me to have a seat and someone would be with me shortly. Well shortly happened to be about 10 minutes. After numerous attempts to flag down either the waitress or the other waiter that was when I finally went up to the manager. He got me a soda and a menu and had the waiter come tend to me. His excuse was this,“Oh sorry sir were busy and I didn’t see you”. Kind of funny considering I made direct eye contact with him 6 times and said«hey sir» 2 times. Also besides me there were only 5 other tables with people in them. He took my order and I had to wait again! Had I been the manager I would have fired those incompetent morons! When I finally got my food I was excited. As I got ready to eat I unfurled my utensils and what did I notice, there were a couple of pieces of dried lettuce stuck on the fork. Yuck!!! Since trying to flag down Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum had failed before I went to the manager AGAIN and asked for clean fork. With a sad look in his eyes he gave me a different fork. When I ate the food it wasn’t that great. It was your typical greasy spoon diner food. The same kind of food that a cardiologist warns you to stay away from! I had scrambled eggs with cheese and ham 2 sausage patties and a biscuit. The scrambled eggs were alright, so were the sausage patties. The biscuits were not cooked all the way. The food left a greasy feeling in my mouth. In short this place is horrible! Awful and very slow service. Not very sanitary either. Guess its alright if you want to get food poisoning and have an excuse to miss work!

Loved this place, use to eat at least once a week at the River Ridge location. Since they moved, it’s gone down hill. The food still taste the same, Lot O Burger with cheese is my favorite. Who can resist Frostop root beer. The problem is service. They are VERY slow. The first couple of times at the new location, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were«new» and it was lunch time. Then I went around 3pm, only 2 other customers. It took 20 minutes for me to get my Lot O Burger combo! To top it off, the new manager is rude and is disrespectful to his employees. I also don’t like the new system where it’s a cross between fast food ordering and a restaurant style delivery /waiting system.

They did a nice job converting this old Pizza Hut location in a diner with a 50’s Happy Days motif. Chrome, aqua, and white color scheme with some 50’s car hop murals. Three walls of booths and small tables in the center of the room. Picture one of their old locations that grew up. Just a little more upscale as they offer a much bigger menu, including breakfast. You place an order at the counter and go find a booth or table to wait. The food is brought to you, along with the catsup squeeze bottle. The Lot-O-Burger is a hamburger patty overwhelmed by the bun, covered with shredded lettuce and a tomato slice. The fries were fresh. Their root beer is excellent, considering that is what they are known for. Separate dessert area where you can decide on your shakes and malts. They sell bottled beer so they can have video poker machines.

There was a Frostop around home when I was little. Living many miles away from that place now, I crave it sometimes. After seeing the sign above this converted Pizza Hut, I knew I would have to try it one day. That day came when we needed a quick lunch that wasn’t pizza. Husband ordered a ham and cheese on white and six onion rings. I had a chili dog with cheese and onions and fries. Such small plates of food! The onion rings were barely larger than Burger King, although they did taste better. My chili dog tasted good, but the bun was not particularly soft and was straight from the package. The handful of fries appeared to have been refried. Husband liked his sandwich. Rootbeer was good, and the refills were plenty. I would give this place one star, but the waitresses were great. It’s not their fault their employer is greedy. For a quick $ 20 lunch, there are better places. I don’t agree that the nostalgic atmosphere makes up for it.
