Taqueria Taxco #2

So we walk in… we were not greeted, the guy at the register never made eye contact, didn’t act like he liked his job, and just rude.
The food… really good.
As we were getting our food, another customer came in and asked how much their breakfast burritos were. Instead of the guy being nice and saying how much, he pointed up to the wall.
The customer service is crap.

The chicken tacos here are so yum! And the price is hard to beat. I probably stop by here for lunch 5 or 6 times a month. Only give it 4 stars because the pricing isn’t always right and there have been a few times when the meat was dry and they didn’t give me a lot of cilantro.

Good trompo (pork) tacos– nice and spicy and i love the grilled onions they give you! Make sure to try the different sauces to spice it up :)

Came in for a quesadilla the price on the menu and the wall stated $ 6.29, but I was charged $ 6.99 plus tax. I told the manager the price was wrong he told me yea I know I need to fix it… Your not the first person to tell me it’s wrong. I thought this place was great used to love the customer service and the food, but after today’s visit I will not return! I just don’t pay you to treat me with horrible service. Time to find w new place!!!

I love the Tromp tacos here. Great value for your money. The different salsas are flavorful, too. I drop by here about one a week.

Everything that I’ve tried from here has been very good. Definitely one of the best places in mesquite to grab some tacos or a torta. Their breakfast tacos are kind of small but very tasty.

Went to this restaurant several times in about a three week period. The beef fajita tacos were good. However, on my last visit, I accidentally ordered the trompo tacos special which is twenty tacos. As soon as the cashier gave tme the total I realized the mistake I made and apologized. She was very rude and acted as though I had done this on purpose. The next day my wife, who did not know what had happened at the restaurant the previous night, told me the trompo tacos were terrible. She said they were almost completely gristle and fat. Undoubtedly, this was done as revenge since the food is usually good. I made an honest mistake and apologized but I guess this restaurant serves revenge with their food. Too bad.

Best tacos in Mesquite. The trompo was delicious. The cashier told me one of the owners was a cook at my favorite gas station taqueria in Garland. No wonder I like it! I’m going to love this place being so close to my house.

Newly opened. Formerly Bull-​Chicks. Interior is clean, bright and spacious. Service was friendly and helpful. They have a daily lunch special for $ 4.99 or a 3 Taco Special with rice and beans for $ 5.49.
I ordered the Pastor Trompo (pork) Quesadilla ($ 5.99) and Chicken Fajita Huaraches ($ 5.99). Both were made ready in less than 5 minutes. Both taste great. I like the quesadilla a bit more in terms of flavor and taste but you get a bit more protein with the huaraches. The huaraches will be a bit dry however.
Overall I’m impressed and will try their other menu items (Tacos, Tortas, Burrito, Gordita, Huaraches, ChipoMix, Cheeseburger, Quesadilla, HotLink Sandwich, Breakfast Sandwich Burrito)

This place will probably make it. Formerly the place of Bacon & Friends, this taqueria will offer staple tacos and the like in a convenient location. Presently offering breakfast, lunch and dinner this place should be a nice dive to get your street taco groove on. Still have a few service kinks to work out since they just opened this week so please be patient.
